The Potomac Lawn Professionals team just finished my fall clean up and mulching and I have to say that they exceeded my expectations.
My house and property maintenance were a low priority for the previous owners and while I tried to care for the landscaping myself the last eight months, I just couldn’t keep up and had to call in the experts. I’m pleased with the work completed by the Potomac Lawn Services crew. They handled my weed control, lawn aeration, and overseeding with excellent attention to detail.

We can't say enough positive things about Potomac Lawn Professionals. After our prior landscaping team left our area, our gardens and lawn fell into severe disrepair. We saw Potomac Lawn Professionals work at a neighbors in the area and we were given their contact information. They were extremely responsive and had a team at our home within a day to provide a quote. We're so pleased with the results. Their team - Michael, Louis, Selvin, and Demetrio - were wonderful. They were prompt, professional, and made our yard something we can be proud of again. The company's text and email based post-service communication is also top-notch! We feel very informed and satisfied.

***UPDATE****The company provided a very inaccurate calculated response. They never completed the work and NO I did not contact them months later. I contacted them immediately because last year they completed the weeding in the pic but again a so called manager told me it wasn’t included this year and tried to quote me additional to complete it. You can see in the email traffic provided, My initial clean up was performed 3/28. I was in contact with customer service via phone and email beginning in April. I do not recommend this company. My issue has not been resolved.

I understand why customers are giving good reviews. I once thought this company was good until I realized they were not completing services as they reported. They should know cameras are everywhere.

I contracted Potomac Lawn for their spring clean up lawn service and paid in full several months ago. To date, the service has never been fully completed. Despite making numerous phone calls and sending multiple emails, I have received no clear resolution and no refund. Just empty promises of resolving the issue and it never being done.

Potomac Lawn has taken payment for services not rendered, ignored repeated attempts at communication, and failed to uphold their obligations as a business. This issue has been ongoing for months, and my patience is exhausted. They ran over my mailbox (fixed it) and continued pretending to perform theses throughout the year lawn services that weren't being done.

Avoid Potomac Lawn. Based on my experience, they do not deliver on promises and fail to provide even the most basic customer service. I have spoken to men who claim to be a manager and promises have been made by several people on the phone and via email of a refund or completion of service that never happened. I have to pay another company to perform and complete the clean up that potomac lawn refuse to complete and acknowledge. It's such a headache

I had a great time picking up a very reasonable Christmas tree. It was around 100 dollars and I preordered it. Pick was very fast and my order was given to me in under 10 minutes. The tree has both color and white lights. Very easy to put together.

I come here to get anything I need for my house. I normally find everything I need and more. It's garden season so I have been coming in a lot to get soil and plants for my house. Good selection of items. Service is hit or miss. Sometimes you get a great person and other times someone that is almost impossible to understand. Parking here can be crazy during rush hour. Returning items is easy. Just have the receipt and all is good.

I only go there because it’s the closest Home Depot or other big home improvement store, and driving in NOVA is a nightmare. But is by far, on a logarithmic scale, the worst Home Depot I’ve ever been to, and I’ve spent thousands there over the years. Once in a while, especially in the trade areas, you’ll find a competent and helpful associate, but mostly they chat among themselves and hurry away when you approach them.

If you shop home depot please be ware of any appliance or bathroom fixtures that might be sold in this store. Unless you are doing your own installation or have your own handyman do not shop here. They try to sell their installation service which at best is incompetent and at worst rude or non existent. I love their Christmas tree and their garden center and if I know where things are for screws and nuts and bolts but god forbid if you need help then you are stuck for ever. But the worst is their installation service which they push and sell. Do not buy for the sake of your safety and sanity.

My husband is a Handyman so we're in here all the time. The cashiers are very friendly and the Garden Center has a pretty good selection of plants during the season. They recently expanded into the next building over and moved all the appliances and lighting into it, which I'm not sure will help. I only have two complaints about this store: get rid of the fenced off piles of inventory in the parking lot (parking is busy as it is) and keep the stuff we need in stock!

The staff love to swear, especially the younger workers. I observed garden center staff arguing over what customers have and haven't purchased yet, making the elderly couple between them visually shaken and upset. When staff finally asked if they wanted help to carry something to their car, the elder man understandably said "absolute not" as they went about their way. If you really need help understanding plants, go to a reputable dealer of landscape supplies. You pay a little more, but that extra cost is for a knowledgeable staff, healthy plants and a overall better purchasing experience. Hope this is some good advice for your next project!

Do not buy plants from this garden center, especially if you plan to bring them indoors as indoor container plants. I bought a ton of herbs a week or so ago and the profound spider mite infestation they came with has now affected my ecosystem of indoor plants. I had zero spider mite problems before my Home Depot purchase, and you can see the spider mites pouring out of the containers of the Home Depot plants. The toll of inconvenience is hefty, first to go to Home Depot buy the plants and the soil, come home and plant everything, and then discover you have a major spider mite problem. Now I have to pack the plants up, put them in the trunk, of course, on the way down the elevator one plant spills over, it also spills in the trunk of the car. So I’ve spent most of the morning covered in soil, and upset at how poorly the garden center manages plants (they are overwatered, a great way to ensure a spider mite infestation.) I have to spend more money now to treat the spider mite infestation that has spread to my pre-existing plants.

Cherry on top: called the store at 8:26 this morning, right when it opened and when it wouldn’t have been too busy. I asked to speak to a manager, because I would imagine Home Depot may care about selling plants that are infested with spiders mites. Still waiting on that call back.

We installed our carpet from this store. One day I was walking around, felt something pierced my feet, and saw this sharp metal thing sticking out of it. Can’t get it out. The whole installation process was less than satisfying - they messed up our order during a price increase and we had to go back and forth to the store as no one knows when the manager will be there. Although the store promised that we can fix the floor squeaking at the same time, however they outsource their work and the other team, although the contractor told us to get a certain nail and they will fix it, their manager coldly told us it’s not possible to fix it. The workers stood on our stair railings to secure the carpet and scratched the painting significantly.
