Constraction reviews in Henrico, Virginia

Asen and his team did a great job on my garage renovation. It started at 90% unfinished and now has a level two finish and is fully insulated. He is very courteous, professional, and friendly. He doesn’t try to push things or upsell you on things you don’t need. He does/did a good job at working around my schedule. When we were discussing the job initially, he was very accommodating to going back and forth on adding/removing things to work with my budget (eg. attic ladder vs door, level of finishing, etc.). He was very communicative and provided updates along the way. His prices are very fair/competitive, his team is efficient and professional, and I will be calling him and his team back when I need more work done.

We have now used Asen and his team for two projects at our house (utility room renovation and external wooden staircase). We were very happy with the results and reasonable pricing. The team was professional, communicative and completed work to a high standard. We would recommend them highly, and plan to use Asen for our future home improvement projects.

We highly recommend Asen Contractors. We had an emergency and needed help immediately with interior repairs and exterior repairs (including a new roof). Asen responded immediately and kept the project running efficiently from start to finish including communicating with the insurance adjustor. Asen is very knowledgeable and has a lot of experience and was able to not only get the repairs and renovations done quickly, but also some additional work we needed during the same time. The workers that he sends are all courteous and conscientious as well. He did an amazing job for us. If possible, I would give Asen Contractors more than 5 stars!!!

Asen is truly top-notch. He came to my rescue when a complex project involving air duct access and rerouting was left unfinished by previous contractors. From the minute he took over, his professionalism, knowledge, honesty, and dedication were evident.
Asen is a true problem-solver. He assessed the situation, communicated the steps needed to complete the project, and kept me informed every step of the way. What impressed me most was his willingness to go above and beyond the original scope of work at my request. Not only did he tackle the air duct access issue, but he also repaired extensive cracks and water damage on both the interior and exterior walls and windows of my house. The work itself was excellent, and all the repairs and painting blend seamlessly with the rest of the house.
Asen and his team were punctual, respectful of my home, and cleaned up thoroughly after each day's work. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality were present in every aspect of their work.
If you're looking for a contractor who not only understands the intricacies and challenges of historical home repair, but also prioritizes communication, transparency and customer satisfaction, look no further than Asen. He turned a stressful situation into a really positive experience and I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again for future projects. Thank you Asen for your amazing work!

Hired Asen Contractors to add crown molding to my mom's home and it was a great experience from start to finish. Everything from the initial communication & quote, all the way to the professionalism of the whole team and the final product was top notch and exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend Asen & his team and plan on using them again for future projects.

Asen does an incredible job. Everything looks great. He is very easy to work with and makes you feel at ease from day one. We will definitely be using his business again.

Easily the best company I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Asen is very personable, honest, knowledgeable, and responsive. His guys do great work, very efficient. Would highly recommend! Asen and his team replaced our sub flooring that was damaged from a leak, installed new LVP, toilet, and vanity.

Asen and his team were amazing! We had to move quickly with painting our upstairs to include ceilings, walls, trim and staircase walls, we also had carpentry work on our deck, screen porch door replace and gutter cleaning. Asen went above and beyond our expectations. This was all done in 2 days at a reasonable price. Highly recommend Asen Contractors!

I called Asen because we had a hole in our laundry room from water damage. He called me back within 20 minutes, which I've come to find out from dealing with other contractor is rare, most don't call back at all. He came by the very next day, gave me a very competitive price which I quickly agreed to, and within a few days he and his crew were on site for the repair. I can't say enough about how friendly and knowledgeable he is, and how great his crew is. The work was done quickly and professionally and it looks great! I've already spoken to Asen about future projects we need done around the house and can't wait to work with him and his amazing crew again. Thanks Asen!!

I needed to have the floor of my front porch repaired due to rotting wood that was not seen to the eye. Asen came to give me a quote and spoke to my level of understanding as to what needed to be done. I was, from the beginning, able to clearly understand what he offered to do and how he would go about doing it. He thoughtfully and carefully checked everything out and provided a very reasonable quote the next day. But that was just the beginning. His team showed up as expected and worked methodically and efficiently to complete the job - above and beyond what was even anticipated. High grade materials were used across the board and I could NOT be happier with Asen and his amazing contractors that performed the work!! As a side note - the workers spared my garden plants and left my entire front yard clear of any debris - you'd never even know they were there working. I would highly recommend Asen Contractors LLC and I hope to work with Asen and his team in the very near future.

A good family friend referred us to Asen and we’re so glad they did! Asen and his team were professional, knowledgeable, responsive and skilled and completed our bathroom renovation project on time and within the budget that was outlined. Highly recommend working with him!

We had a great experience working with Asen Contractors LLC. They were punctual, honest, and very skilled. The crew respected our property, completed the work on time, and provided high-quality results. I would confidently recommend them to anyone needing reliable contracting services.

His people closed the gap between the top of cabinets and ceiling and painted most of the first floor. They did an excellent job! Moved everything and put it all back, attention to detail was great and cleaned everything when they were finished. Very polite and quiet.

I recently hired Asen for an interior paint job to complete ceilings, trim, and walls in my home, and I’m extremely happy with the results. From the beginning, communication was quick and responsive, which made scheduling and planning very easy.
The work itself was done with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. The ceilings, trim, and walls all look clean, smooth, and beautifully finished. You can really tell pride was taken in the work.
On top of the quality, the value for the price was excellent. It’s not always easy to find someone who delivers great craftsmanship, reliability, and fair pricing, but this experience checked all the boxes. I would absolutely recommend this painter to anyone looking for quality interior painting. 🎨

Fast and reasonable. Did a great roof job.

Very professional company with high quality craftsmanship to match.

Great family run business, I've worked with them on both interior and exterior projects and they always delivered on time and within budget. Thanks CB Chandler crew!

I called in a panic because my roof was leaking. I really needed it done like immediately! Excellent customer service and very professional. Chandlers’ quoted me a price and that is exactly what I paid. My project was completed in one day. I am so pleased with the job and service. I would recommend them to anyone. if you’re reading this post make sure you spread the word about Chandler Construction, Inc. I’m going to recommend them to all my friends and family!

I contacted this company on March 25, 2022 and an appointment was scheduled for Geoff to come to my home to quote a bathroom/closet remodel project. Geoff came out on May 18, 2022 and took measurements etc. I heard nothing back so on August 17, 2022 I followed up about the quote. I was told that they would check in with Geoff about the status of the quote. I never heard anything else from this follow-up so I emailed again on October 3, 2022 and told Ms. Meats that if CB Chandler was not going to send an estimate or my project wasn't something they wanted to do that's fine but please just communicate that to me. I was emailed the following message: "I am so sorry! I thought this had already been sent to you. We are still interested in bidding your project. I just ensured the file is on Geoff’s desk and in front of him. He is going to try to get the proposal out to you today, but it may be tomorrow. Again, I apologize for the length of time this has taken. Geoff does not normally take months. He has been in the field dealing with issues at different job sites, and I’m afraid your proposal slipped through the cracks." I was again promised by Ms. Meats that Geoff would have me something by the end of the week of October 5. It's now January 13, 2023, and still no quote. Don't let this company waste your time like they did mine.

Poor quality craftsmanship all around. No site management or direction for trades. If Logan is in charge of your project......run! One of the worst tile jobs I have seen. Electricians not capable of using a tape measure. 30k project ran months over projection. House turned over without proper cleaning. Damages to blinds, toilets, bath tub, doors, ect. Didn't turn off HVAC while doing work and almost ruined air handler. Installed wrong parts under sink for plumbing. Had to fire contractor off of job. Horrible experience. I've been in contracting for 20 years and this one took the cake.

This work was completed January 16, 2025. I was in desperate need of a 10' of rake flashing. I had quick results in getting that piece replaced. The two technicians that came to my home were utterly kind, friendly, respectful and efficient. They cleaned up after the job and the work performed was absolutely perfect. I highly recommend the CB Chandler Roofing Company and I rate them way above a 10.
