My AC unit wasn’t properly heating the house, so I called Erick, and he showed up within a short amount of time. After carefully checking everything, it was determined that we needed a new unit. Long story short, Erick proved to be reliable, knowledgeable, and overall a great guy. Thanks, Erick!

Excellent and speedy service! Mike showed up within an hour of us calling with our issue. He was friendly and knowledgeable, explaining what the problem was and how he was going to fix it. Fixed the issue within a half hour and gave instruction on maintenance to avoid future complications. We will definitely be recommending Fairfax Cooling & Heating Co.!

I updated my rating from 2 star to 4 star due to the latest service experience I had with the company. My new tenants moved into my condo yesterday and they complained that the heating system is not actually heating the condo. My gut feeling told me to call Fairfax Cooling and Heating even though I swore not to deal with them again after my previous experience. They showed up and quickly diagnosed the problem to be some leftover air in the interlock tube preventing the hot air from going through which is a pretty technical term for me to understand. The cool thing is they fixed for "free" under the warranty.
Well, it seems the service quality has been improved since last time the unit was installed. I am a pretty forgiving person. What can I say?

I was told that my A/C needs to be replaced which is very expensive. So Mike and another person showed up to install the unit. Two problems happened... They had to remove one of the drywalls without telling me first to complete the installation and afterwards told ME to put it back on! Mike kept saying that this is just a dry wall, so easy to do blah blah blah, then I said why don't you do it if it is so easy, and then he told me that he doesn't fix drywall ! I was very unhappy with the answer and his rudeness. After back and forth shouting match, he finally agreed to send someone who actually does the dry wall to fix the problem they left behind. The second problem showed up the date after the installation. Some tubes or vents are not connected properly which prevented hot air from reaching the second floor. They had to come in and fix it. Overall, pretty disappointing experience. Will not go back again.

Fantastic company. Open and upfront business transactions, fair pricing and exceptional work. We will continue to utilize Fairfax Cooling & Heating for all of our HVAC work. Major work done in 1 day and done well. Company feels like a small hometown business that cares for a customer and their home, not a check/charge.

Mike and Micky did an excellent job replacing my hvac. My utilities dropped by nearly 75%! The upstairs was unbearably hot in the summers, but Micky engineered a great solution and now my whole house is the same temp!couldnt be happier with the great service and the most competitive prices in the area!

Used Fairfax Cooling and Heating the last two years for condo mandated maintenance checks. Both times I've received efficient service at a reasonable price, explanations for everything being done and advice for what I should be doing throughout the year to keep my heat pump going strong. As expected both times, they didn't suggest anything was needed other than the routine maintenance. In fact most recently they advised me I should *not* make an expensive replacement I was considering any time soon, as the expected savings would not make up for the up front cost or reduced reliability compared to my existing system.

We had an AC problem today and called all over the place to find someone who could come out quickly as our home temp was approaching 85 degrees. When I got ahold of Terri at Fairfax Cooling and Heating she let me know that she would do whatever she could to get someone to our home right away while other companies wanted me to wait several days and even weeks for a service call. Mike came out a couple of hours later and had the job done in minutes! Great customer service, prompt and professional. Thank you!

Miki and his team are outstanding. They recently helped us with a full HVAC replacement and during the proposal process, Miki helped us identify multiple things we could do (for free or very cheap) to improve air flow and cooling without installing a new unit immediately. Well, ours was 25 years old so while we appreciated their advice, it was pretty clear we needed to bite the bullet anyhow. The crew who installed our new system were equally as impressive. Andy, Mike, Zack and Miki, thank you guys for the incredible work!

We called Fairfax cooling and heating after our ac unit stopped working. Mike came out after about 40 mins and fixed our ac unit! He was recommended by a friend, and I am happy to recommend him and his company to anyone else who needs AC work done

Excellent service and recommendations for care of our Heat Pump. This is my go-to company for our home's heating and cooling needs. Despite this being a very busy time, Mike came out the same day and worked tirelessly until our issue was resolved. We will be resolving humidity issues in our basement with their help, too.

The blower motor in my furnace unit stopped working Friday evening. I sent an email at 8 pm and got a response at 9 pm, on Friday! Miki was out the next morning and quickly diagnosed the issue and worked efficiently to source the part i needed, making several phone calls to locate the part and get it as soon as possible (he never even brought up diagnostic charges/service charge, he just worked hard to make sure my family and I would be cool in a heat wave). The communication was excellent, receiving several texts from his personal cell, the work was performed as soon as the part arrived and we were back to normal. The price was more then fair and the service and professionalism were above and beyond. I've used Fairfax Cooling and Heating in the past, present and will continue to do so in the future.

Excellent service. I called one of the big name companies and they told me they would call me to schedule my service for the same day (they never called back). Several hours later I called Fairfax and they were at my house within 90 minutes and finished with the service 10 minutes later. Everything was straight up and on the level and solved my issue with no fuss. Very nice both on the phone and in person and really seemed to care that they provided good service. Will definitely be returning to Fairfax in the future.

Michael was extremely helpful, informative and thorough with our situation this weekend. Imagine a hot summer day with no A/C ! We called the business and got a response right away. Michael was able to see us same day and spent time to educate us from the furnace to installing our new thermostat. He made sure we understood what we were doing and why we were doing it. Thanks for the help and will definitely refer to family and friends!

Had a FANTASTIC experience with these guys this week. From the time I called to the time they were at my house was just over an hour. They rapidly diagnosed an issue with my A/C and had it fixed within 20 minutes. This was after I had a different company out earlier in the day that totally mis-diagnosed the issue and were looking to charge me $4K+ to resolve something that wasn't even broken! Terri and Miki could not have been nicer to work with. They absolutely gained a long-term customer this week.

Fairfax Cooling & Heating consistently has great service and response time. Furnace was not working when I turned it on this season. They came out the same day and found a bad circuit board. Rather than putting more money into a 15 year old unit, they recommended I replace it. I also chose to update the thermostat. T.R. and his brother were out 2 days later and replaced everything quickly. Wasn't expecting the 5% credit card fee, normally it's around 3. Next time I'll write a check.

They installed a new heat pump for me in 2018. They had the best price by far for a quality unit. I've been super impressed with their customer service. A couple of days after they installed the heat pump, the A/C stopped working (not their fault -- a manufacturing defect) and they called their supplier on a Sunday morning to pick up a new part and came and repaired it immediately. More recently I had water around the air handler in my basement. I thought it was the A/C. They came out and thoroughly checked it, determined it wasn't the A/C, and didn't charge me anything for the visit.

My HVAC fan and motor blew up and I had no heat in my house. I called Fairfax Cooling and Heating based on their high ratings. Mike showed up within an hour, discovered what parts he needed, rushed to the Carrier warehouse before they closed and returned to complete the repair, all in about two hours. He knows his stuff and is very pleasant to speak with. He has an excellent work ethic and doesn't mind working into the evening. I normally don't write these reviews but I was amazed at how he performed.

I've used them twice now for repairs. They did my AC unit a few years ago and today did a bit of maintenance on my furnace. Miki is a true professional and knows the business very well. Mike is learning from him and has knowledge in the space as well. They are fast, and prompt and take action quickly. I highly recommend this business.

My husband and I discovered that our air conditioner was not working immediately prior to Memorial Day weekend. We worked with another company initially, (B&B Air Conditioning and Heating), to try to repair the air conditioner, and determined the representatives of that company to be either negligent, deceptive or both. We explained our situation to Michael, the sales manager at Fairfax Cooling and Heating, and he offered to come by within 15 minutes to give us a free estimate. Michael was able to quickly evaluate the situation, talking us through the entire process. He is a professional who clearly loves his job and at no point did we feel as though he had anything but our best interests in mind. Although our system does not require any immediate repairs at this time, when it does, we fully intend to take our business to Fairfax Cooling and Heating.

Mike and his father both came out to take a look at my system. Within 3 minutes (literally) they knew what was wrong and offered multiple options. My wife and I were already looking at upgrading our system so we decided to change our entire system. Their price was unbeatable and I have a 10 year parts AND labor warranty with them. Mike answered several questions during the week prior to them coming out extremely quickly. He was always responsive and very polite. They showed up on time and took great care of my home. They layed plenty of drop cloths to protect my floors and carpets. All wore booties and with current pandemic they all wore masks. I haven't had any experience with the new system yet, but I suspect it will be fine and I'll be happy. I will update if anything changes. If you're looking for a good, honest, family oriented company and small business, look no further. These guys are great!!!!

I don’t typically write reviews, but I am compelled to because of the incredible experience I had. A good HVAC company is hard to come by in the Northern VA region. I called Fairfax Cooling and Heating after I botched my own DIY job on my furnace. It was a sub zero weekend and Miki showed up within a couple hours to diagnose the problem. He got the system running smoothly again and taught me a few things I didn’t known about it. I appreciate how quickly he showed up, but also how friendly and patient he was while I followed him around asking questions and peaking over his shoulder. And when he wrote up the invoice, it was more reasonable than I would have received from any other company I’ve worked with in the past. I appreciate the fair pricing and I will definitely call Fairfax Cooling and Heating when I need them again.
