It’s so hard to find someone who will respond to your request, be affordable, work diligently, and complete the job In a timely manner. Lee replaced our deck, even working a weekend to get it done. Our deck had some issues and he found a creative way to fix them. He put up a sun shade, too. Lee is easy to work with, and a genuinely nice guy. We will hire him again. Highly recommend.

Ordered a new over the range microwave from Home Depot and when they came to install it they told us they could not do the installation due to the tile backsplash (even though the replacement was the exact same size). Found Lee online and spoke to him over the phone. Over a series of texts, he assured me that he could get it installed. He came out the next day well prepared to do what it took to get the job done. Turned out the microwave was a perfect fit and no tile was cut. Lee is very professional and thorough. We are happy to have found him and look forward to working with him again on future projects!!

Lee responded quickly and worked us into his schedule quickly. He made good, quick work of the repair and charged a reasonable rate. Having the right tools for the job makes all the difference!

I selected Lee Newcomb after reading excellent reviews on Next Door app. Specifically I needed a handyman who could work on some electrical issues. He fixed everything beyond our expectations. An outdoor light that never worked, now works. He figured out why an electrical outlet on our porch didn’t work. He did all of my odd jobs like hanging mirrors, installing a shower head and installing a ceiling fan. Efficient, knowledgeable, and professional. I was completely satisfied and recommend him highly.

Lee was great! He gave us a very fair quote on our deck and doing the railings on our front stairs. Our original stairs were not to code and had to be extended out a little. Job was done fast and looks great! He was very responsive and easy to work with. We will definitely use him again.

We had a burst water pipe break above the garage. I had the pipe fixed by a plumber, but needed someone to remove the wet drywall and insulation. I called Lee to have him give me an estimate. To my surprise, he came out that afternoon. He gave me the estimate and was able to have a crew there 2 days later. They removed all of the wet materials, put up the new insulation and drywall, put the wall mud over the seams, cleaned up, and taken to the dump. All within 6 hours. The cost was appropriate and the workers were friendly and competent. I couldn't ask for more.

What can I say to do Mr. Lee and his working crew, Joe and Jason, justice? I was searching for an honest handyman that could be trusted and give a fair price for the work needed. Looking at our kitchen, which looked beyond repair to me, much water damage, rotted floor and others problems too many to mention. The pics will prove that something very ugly can be made into something very lovely when these men got involved. The price for restoration pleased me greatly and the beautiful kitchen I now enjoy keeps a smile on my face. The technicians who serviced our house were excellent! Communicative, and gave us the step by step of what they did. The work we had done was the installation of 2x Ceiling Fan/Lights, and a kitchen light replacement. Will definitely call SJ Ryan again for future electrical work.

We were recommended SJ Ryan from our neighborhood page because our lights flicker. When I called the office the lady said they don't schedule, they just call if they have an opening, which isn't usually for weeks. Well, we got a call an hour later that an opening came up for the next morning. We felt very lucky, especially because we wanted this company because they promoted that they value honesty.

The technicians came and spent nearly four hours testing individual lights and trying out switches, even though we had said the problem was throughout the entire home, not individual lights. They charged us $475 on the spot for their diagnosis. The techs were kind, but maybe didn't have good enough training to immediately look at the meter and whole-home electric sources. (I prefer to think that over the possibility that they just wanted to waste time to make it a longer job.) I shouldn't have to pay for their training.

They left and said they would email me the estimate for fixing the problem.

After they left, the outlets in our bathroom didn't work. I told them to come back and set it right, free of charge because they did something to alter it while here. I told three people that I did not want to pay for this. The guys came and resolved it within 15 minutes. I received an invoice for $100+. I reminded the office I shouldn't pay for this, and to call me back when the charge was removed.

More than a month later I still have not heard back from the office, or received the estimate for the repair for our home. Our lights are still flickering, and they've taken $475 from me without helping to resolve my problem in any way.

Been using the SJ crew for a few years. I've built a restaurant with them as well as several remodels. Always on time and fairly priced. Quick turn around on work and responsive customer service. Locally owned small business. Can't go wrong! Thanks as always guys.

There is some sort of breakdown in communication happening in this company. Sean came out to give the estimate and I felt like we were on the same page for the plan, but when the technicians came to do the work they seemed to be coming in completely blind to the point where they left to make a phone call and came back stating “apparently we do this sort of work.” They then did the work incorrectly and had to come back later that day to correct it. It was nice that the ?office administrator called after my email with photos of the work to apologize and confirm it was incorrect, and the technicians came back within a few hours to correct it. They were apologetic, but also insisted that I told them to do what they did. I am certain I didn’t, but even if I had told them something incorrect, they should have known the plan coming into the job which they very clearly did not. At the end of the work the main technician didn’t even know how I was supposed to pay, stating “I guess the office will write you up a ticket?” I understand that the person giving the estimate cannot always be the one doing the job, but if that’s the case, there needs to be clear instruction to the people doing it. Even though the work was eventually correct, I still would not recommend this company.
