Constraction reviews in Midlothian, Virginia

We have used Homelink several times over the years for various remodeling projects, always with great results. Our recent job was a little tricky - we wanted to replace our front door but not the entire door system. There was significant wear & tear to the stain from the sun on the existing surrounded sidelights and transom window above. It was going to be difficult to get an exact stain match on the new door plus the existing surround - but it came out even better than we expected! As always, Bill's communication was great and the guys he brought in for the work did an awesome job. Highly satisfied!

We just finished up a kitchen remodel with Homelink and we're very pleased with the results. The project had its share of problems, which I have come to expect from a major remodel, but everything was resolved to my satisfaction. If I wasn't happy with a subcontractor's work, or I didn't like how something looked I just had to mention it once and it got taken care of with no arguing and no pushback. I would absolutely have them back and recommend them as a general contractor.

Do not trust this company!! My mother had a house fire recently, and hired Serv Pro to clean and restore the house. Turns out, an employee stole several of her REAL gold rings, along with some of my niece's jewelry. Luckily the manager found out somehow and the employee responsible was fired. But she now has to go through the house to see if any other valuables were stolen. It's so heartbreaking that a company that is supposed to help in a time of disaster has crooked employees who take advantage of the situation....If you are thinking of using this company, please look elsewhere.

I can’t say enough about the professionalism and level of detail ServPro offers for their services. Their technicians arrived on time and completed the work in a timely manner. They left all spaces neater than they found them. Will be my first call if anything happens in the future. Have used them for a number of jobs on rental properties and my primary residence.

I would never recommend ServPro. What should have been a simple repair after a storm leak turned into one of the worst service experiences I’ve ever had.
They came quickly (which I later found out was an extra fee never disclosed) and cut out most of my bathroom ceiling. Then, instead of repairing it after mitigation, they emailed me days later saying they were “too busy” and wouldn’t be coming back. My bathroom has been left unusable for 6 weeks and counting, with only a tarp covering the hole.
During mitigation, they ran equipment incorrectly, filling my bathroom and bedroom with insulation dust and ruining personal items. At one point they wanted to leave the machines running for 9 extra days—charging me daily—because they couldn’t schedule anyone to come back sooner. Communication was nearly nonexistent, and whenever I asked what came next, the project manager acted like I was bothering him.
To make matters worse, they tracked dirt through my bedroom, left debris everywhere, and ignored basic professionalism like wearing shoe covers. They even tried to leave holes in the tarp until I insisted they close them (that duct tape in the picture was the hole they tried to leave).
And when it came to billing, they sent multiple invoices with no payment links, harassed me daily for payment, and ultimately charged more than their original estimate—leaving me to fight the difference with State Farm.
I hired ServPro because they claimed to be a one-stop shop that works smoothly with insurance. Instead, I got delays, mess, surprise fees, and zero accountability. I had a heart attack earlier this year and was willing to pay a bit more BECAUSE they were a one-stop-shop. I paid them several thousand dollars to STILL have a hole in my ceiling AND roof. If you value your home, your health, or your sanity, use this company at your own risk. -
Andres and his crew Ben and Lamonte were first class, quick to show up, and thorough with their jobs. They were both professional and personable. Highly recommend Servpro and this group particularly on any of your needs.

Very prompt and knowledgeable of the work needed to be done. Evan was very professional, timely at getting services done. Cost was billed to insurance company.

Andres and Lamonte from Servpro did excellent work on short notice after overnight rains showed a leak inside that damaged interior walls, paint and moldings. They thoroughly measured moisture levels, removed damaged materials, checked for mold and applied appropriate treatments. They also emplaced a dehumidifier, and fans to assure complete dry out of any residual moisture. Additionally, they thoroughly and completely explained all steps taken, why necessary, expected result, timeline and next steps. And, as an added touch of excellence did a great job cleaning up before departing. Truly professional in all respects.

JJ went above and beyond the call of duty! Due to a confusion in the work detail he spent 2 days unpacking, repacking, unpacking again our crawl space! He always worked with a positive attitude and an eagerness to help! He was so understanding and patient during the whole process! He truly made the chaos manageable!!

ServPro did great by me during my process. Unfortunately, I resided in a duplex and the upstairs unit had a fire that caused smoke damage and water damage in my downstairs unit. ServPro came out and treated my unit until it was decided that I would need to move out of the unit for repairs. ServPro packed my things, cleaned my furniture, held them in their storage unit, and moved my things back in my new house. My assigned tech was easily reachable and helped me with everything I reached out with. I have no complaints and if I ever catch myself in a situation like this again, I hope ServPro is the company that would be assigned.

Water heater line leaked 1200 gallons of water. Aaron Kurz and his team went above and beyond expected and had the house ready for contractors within days.
-
The mitigation and restoration teams both moved very quickly and demonstrated great skillsets within their lanes of work. Our project manager, Jeff P., was very responsive and professional through the process - often having to manage narrow schedules between myself and tenant.
-
Evelyn and Croom were absolutely amazing and personable while cleaning the home. After losing so much it good to have people who really cared.
-
This team went above and beyond when assessing our water damage and did an excellent job with the clean up. All four techs we worked with were extremely professional and answered all our questions. I don't know where we would be without their help this past holiday weekend.
-
Katie and Ryan were awesome! Friendly, helpful, effective and quiet, even when coming here at 2:00 am! I super appreciate their work. I couldn’t ask for better!
-
Was a nightmare to deal with from start to finish. Mitigation team left so much debris over my encapsulated crawlspace and just left it. Multiple delays In a job that took over 4 months to complete. Never mind the fact that I picked a lower cost flooring than the estimate... but you don't get any money back for that estimate is the same price.... I think for the small job there was a total of 25 people involved, can understand where their extra charges come from. 25 people over and only 4 of them do any actual work. Only getting 2 stars because the Jeffes they contracted out to did great work compared to the servpro workers. WOULD NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM NOT WORTH THE STRESS, TIME, AND ENERGY

Dangerous Health Hazard Created by Negligent, Dishonest Company
Hired this company for water mitigation in our home. Their technicians removed our toilet but left the sewer pipe completely uncapped and exposed for over a week while my family, including young children, continued living in the house.
The open pipe released toxic sewer gases throughout our home, causing nausea. When I raised this serious health hazard, they brushed it off completely. Upper management not only disregarded my legitimate concerns but had the audacity to pester me for payment instead of addressing the dangerous situation they created.
Their dishonesty reached new levels when they returned tile purchased from my renovation budget to the store, yet still charged me for these materials! Their unprofessional behavior was consistent at every interaction - rushing through work, causing additional repairs to our flooring, and ultimately creating more problems than they solved.
This company violates basic safety standards, demonstrates shocking dishonesty with billing, and shows complete disregard for customer wellbeing. What should have been a straightforward restoration turned into a nightmare of health hazards, hidden charges, and shoddy workmanship. Strongly recommend avoiding this company at all costs. -
Nick was amazing! He was very friendly and professional and he answered all the questions I had for him. He went above and beyond to make sure his job was done correctly. Would highly recommend him for his job. Highly satisfied!

I had a pipe leak behind my basement bathroom wall and it flooded the wall and part of the bathroom ceiling. JJ and Connor did a wonderful job clearing out the water logged materials and setting up the drying equipment. They even cleaned up afterwards

My friend Pam had a plumbing issue which caused a crawl space issue. Hampton came out and assesed the situation and gave a fair quote for the clean-up. Servpro wasted no time in sending a crew. Manuel V. And Jean A. were the technicians that came and cleaned the smelly mess. They were very professional and thorough in cleaning her crawlspace.

Evan Slaasted, the project manager assigned to our project was excellent. He was professional in his approach to handling the issue and briefed us regularly on the progress of the project. He was timely and answered all our questions which shows his understanding and knowledge related to this matter. He is a sure candidate for raise and promotion.
