We have been Earthscapes customers since before they were Earthscapes. We have always been satisfied with their performance and work ethic. Even as they continue to grow and add services, they maintain a very high level of customer service. I would recommend them to anyone.

So, a little bit about me. I’m 51 years old and have been a home owner since I was 25. I currently own two homes now and the only point of me saying this is that I have worked with countless companies and contractors on several renovation projects, the last one was having my kitchen remodeled. I say this just to give perspective on how thoroughly impressed I was by my latest project with Earthscapes Lawn and Land Service. We wanted to have our backyard landscaped, flower, trees, everything. As I told Matt Eldredge, the owner, I wanted it to look like Botanical Gardens. As always, I had three companies come out and give me there plans and quotes. The other two gave me boiler plate plans and didn’t really listen to what we really wanted, Matt did. I could go on about Earthscape’s professionalism and responsiveness, but I won’t. I will just say they delivered an incredible job that has blown my wife and I away. I have not dealt with any contactor or company as good as this one. Besides every plant, tree and shrub they planted thriving in our backyard, it just looks incredible. We couldn’t be happier. Moreover, they were the lowest price. That not being the reason we went with them. To answering every text, call and email promptly, to even last-minute changes we wanted, I can’t say enough about this company. I wish every home improvement project could have been like this experience!

Earthscapes was one of the few pleasant surprises on our recent custom build. From the bid process, through change orders and site challenges, all the way to completion, they were prompt, professional and a pleasure to work with. We highly recommend them.

We have been working with Earthscapes since we moved in a year ago and have completed half a dozen projects and ongoing lawn maintenance with them. Every department we’ve worked with has been so professional and super helpful. The outcomes have been exactly what we wanted, and the on-site teams work so hard. I had a wonderful experience with Earthscapes. My request for help was prompt. Ryan showed up, we walked the premises and the fact that he was listening was most positive. He quickly got back with a proposal that could easily be changed if needed.
We ended up with new sod and pavers being installed in the back yard. The shrubs were spruced up and the beds refurbished. I am thrilled. It was a tired back yard. Now it is a pleasurable experience to go outside and see such a pretty, inviting place.
Everyone on his team was a pleasure to work with. Customer service was a priority and it showed. I enjoyed the guys on the team, and "team" they were!
Communication was on going. I always knew what was going on, who was coming and when. If changes occurred in the schedule, I was aware of them.
Would I use Earthscapes again? YES! It was a beautiful job, creative and beautifully thought out.

We had a paver patio with fireplace installed as well as a large backyard landscaping project that included a variety of beautiful plants, shrubs, trees and even some feature lighting. We've hired other (well known) local landscaping companies in the past and had very frustrating results. Working with Matt & his crew at Earthscapes was a dream in comparison... every step of the entire job was truly a wonderful experience! The crews were on time, efficient and extremely tidy with their workspace. The job was quoted clearly & accurately, no confusion or surprise expenses. At first contact, Earthscapes quoted our job quickly and with detail, which I was unable to receive from other companies. In order to install a a new paver patio, they had to demo an existing concrete patio, hot-tub, and previously overlaid deck. They did a great job. The real test of a company is how they react when things don't go as planned and this is how they earned their 5 stars. Earthscapes took the time to explain the situation and provide full correction, even though the problem encountered was not their fault. The patio paver deck is beautiful, even better than initially expected!

My real estate team uses Earthscapes for SO many projects, but I also use them for my personal home. From their attention to detail, ability to fix any mistake, and their kind and courteous demeanor, I have never swayed from using their services. I have let other companies quote various projects, but I always use Earthscapes. Locally owned and operated and so very knowledgeable!

My HOA signed a contract with them several months ago. I planted seed and sod this spring and in less than 3 months the area is now bare from having been scalped. I have video footage from today of their workers weed whacking around the sign that says “Do not trim” and “Do not mow”. I have again requested they come out to let me know how they intend to fixit, so I will update this post if I hear back from them. I take great pride and go to great expense to make my yard attractive, but obviously the workers/company show no regard. Would not recommend.

The work itself was satisfactory, but there were several issues. The workers showed up unscheduled, and since the workers didn’t speak English, a lot of time was spent clarifying what needed to be done while they were on the clock. The biggest disappointment was a verbal agreement regarding hours and a promised discount — when the bill came, I was charged more than agreed, and was told nothing could be done. Overall, the job was completed, but the lack of communication and billing issues made for a frustrating experience.

Contracting to build a pool is big deal, of course. The costs, the concerns over quality and detail add up. But the best compliment possible after completion is that it turned out better than expected! Praise to EarthScapes and Matt and Rob and Tyler and Mark! Many thanks.

We couldn't be happier with our new gunite pool! From start to finish, the entire experience was smooth and professional. The pool design is exactly what we envisioned—beautifully done with stunning tile work and a waterfall feature that adds the perfect finishing touch.

A huge shoutout to our project manager, Rob. He was incredibly professional, friendly, and knowledgeable throughout the entire process. What really sets him apart is his continued support—months after the pool was completed, he's still quick to respond to any questions we have, often within minutes.

We had an amazing experience with Earthscapes! Our project began in July 2025 with a back porch expansion to close a gap between our porch and garage, which they executed flawlessly. From there, they completely transformed our backyard: a gorgeous 16x40 foot inground fiberglass pool, a spa hot tub with spillover feature, a beautiful paver patio, new sod, and professional landscaping that tied everything together. They even added landscape lighting in the front and back yards, set everything to timers and added all the finishing touches to complete the space.

Matt, Tyler, Rob and the entire crew were outstanding-professional, responsive and always available to answer random questions I had, even on the weekend. Rob took extra time to walk us through how the pool, vacuum and app works. Their communication and dedication made the entire process stress free.

Their project has been finished since October, and our kids have been in that hot tub ever since! It’s exactly what we envisioned and we couldn’t be happier.

This is the best landscaping company in Norfolk. Great work, great prices, friendly staff, what else can you ask for! The owner, Harris, really cares that you love your yard after they are finished with it!

This is an update to my experience from review 7 months ago. I am terribly disappointed with the owner. He has been unreliable and inappropriate. He did not provide lawn care service to me as scheduled and I had to reach out to him for a reschedule date and he did not show up on the reschedule day. He was a no show/no call and did not respond to my message. His behavior has been very unprofessional. Also the last time my lawn was mowed, his workers did a subpar job and they did not mow my grass in my fenced in back. The gate was left unlocked for them and I was at home. They had only mowed the front and side of my yard. Thankfully, I was at home and caught it in time to reach the owner. He contacted his workers and had them to return to complete the work. I’m addition to this, they showed up extremely late to my residence. Considering everything mentioned, I would not recommend Acquael to anyone because of his unprofessionalism and lack of dependability.

Always efficient and they pay attention to the details and have tackled anything I've asked them to do in my yard. I could not be happier with the service I get from Green Pastures Landscaping.

Absolutely recommended! Very responsive on quotes, priced very fairly, and he did a phenomenal job. We had a heavily overgrown backyard that is now spotless. Great guy, great business.
