We found it amazing just how quickly GSU responded to our request for a bid on our landscaping project. The next day, Mr. Gallagher walked our property with us; that evening, we received a proposal. The following morning, he, along with one worker, measured and marked the flower beds scheduled to receive rock. GSU's customer contact is refreshing.

From the start they were great. The estimate was provided quickly and was accurate. Ivan and his team were efficient and professional, and responded seamlessly to my last minute changes. My yard looks amazing!

We found Green Side Up Landscaping through a Google search and were impressed by their reviews on Google and Yelp. After scheduling an initial estimate, Bill came to our home and walked us through a thoughtful design that prioritized a large play area for our kids. He provided a detailed plan for maintaining the landscape and suggested valuable additions, like proper drainage and erosion mitigation around our foundation.

Bill's estimate was cost-effective compared to other companies we consulted, and work began just a week after we put down our deposit. His team promptly and safely removed five large trees from our property and ground the stumps and roots for complete removal. They also installed irrigation for our half-acre lot and seeded the area to ensure grass growth, even in the semi-shaded spots.

The entire project was incredibly fast, budget-friendly, and exactly what we envisioned. Communication from Green Side Up was consistent, keeping us informed throughout the process. They even accommodated a couple of additional side projects I requested on the spot and provided estimates for that extra work without hesitation.

Overall, I was extremely impressed with the Green Side Up team and highly recommend them to anyone in the Richmond area looking for landscaping services!

This is my first time submitting an online review and for good reason. I want to say that working with Green Side Up has been amazing. I have had the chance to get to know the owners and they sincerely care about doing the right things for their customers. Their leadership and high level of expectations flows through the entire company including those on the ground doing the hard work. In my case I have been blessed by working with Mike, Billy, Josh and Dro. They are all wonderful people who care about every single detail of my yard (which extends over 8 acres). They never miss a beat, are always on time, and make me feel like I’m the only home they take care of. They are also incredibly kind, always smiling, always friendly and always giving 100%. Very happy with GSU landscaping. The design process was really engaging and Preston picked out the perfect plants and layout for us. We went through a lot of discussion and revisions, which I appreciated because in general it's not cheap to get a landscaping project done. It took a little longer to get to the project than I hoped but that was due to rain and demand, so no big deal. Once we got to the execution Ivan and his team finished in just one 8 hour day. You can see from the pictures how nice everything looked. We had to make a few adjustments at the end due to availability of some plants, but Ivan worked through that with me without any issues. Can't wait for the next project.

Highly recommend GSU for any landscape project. Our new construction home was just a dirt backyard with some seed down that never took.

Preston and the rest of the team came up with a plan to fix drainage, add grass, beds, and shrubs while still fitting within our budget. As you can see from the before and after photos I added, it made a huge difference and now we have a backyard we actually enjoy.

We liked their work so much we’re already talking to them again about adding a couple of trees to the backyard as well.

Green Dream was professional and did a fantastic job installing our new irrigation system and sod. Will defiantly use them again in the future.

Had a sprinkler system installed last summer. Slow to respond after they recvd payment. When this spring came around and we were waiting for them to turn our system back on, they did not even have the courtesy to tell us they were no longer in that business and that we would get a call from another co to turn it back on. After we had the sprinkler system installed, we also contracted with them to thatch and seed our yard. Part of the deal, was that they would cone back this spring to reseed any spots that needed to be redone. Getting that accomplished was worse than getting teeth pulled. Finally, with the help of Jessica who was very attentive and helpful it was done today. Trevor, the owner did not even have the respect to contact me regarding this transaction as requested, which does not say much for his reputation. So the job will get done, but there is little or no customer service from the owner and it’s a very tiring and frustrating process. I would select another vendor for landscaping needs if i read a review like this

Trevor and team have done our front landscaping, backyard shrub and brush clean up, cleared land for a swing set and built a barrier for it, and most recently created a beautiful paver walkway for the entrance to our home. Trevor is loyal, excited and passionate, and believes in quality. He’s not afraid to offer his own ideas to Compliment your own and he’s great at providing status updates during a project. Highly recommend!

We used Green Dream to install French Drains around our house. Their quote was fair and their work was high quality and quick. They showed up when they said they would. When we had an issue a year later they made it right. Highly recommended.

I am blown away by the quality craftsmanship of my gorgeous new patio! We have a tricky yard with multiple elevations (some very steep). I didn’t think it would be possible to have a beautiful and functional space. I asked for a modest usable space and they delivered a magazine worthy terraced patio with exquisite details. Trevor is fantastic to work with but he topped himself with the incredibly knowledgeable and personable Jeri Moon! She and Trevor walked me through every detail and were so patient with my exhaustive questions about gravel, drainage, etc. I felt confident the whole way. I can’t say enough good things about the process, the end result, and the value.

I had a serious drainage issue in my front lawn. Green Dream did an exceptional job fixing the issue. I could see right away that the lawn was starting to dry out once they began digging to install drains. The guys were here by 8 a.m. and stayed till almost 5 p.m. each day. They were professional and courteous as they provided answers to my questions and gave me daily updates. I am beyond thrilled with their work. I received quotes and design ideas from four companies. Green Dream's solution made the most sense. They were very responsive when rainy weather caused delays. I recommend them 100%.

If you want a responsive company, keep searching. I decided to have retaining walls added to my front yard and put the project out for bid. I contacted 4 companies and this was one of them. It took about 4 days for them to contact me back, which is not horrible but it gets worse. I schedule a designer to come out on a Friday between 3-4. Long story short nobody shows up and there is no phone call. Thanks for having me sit around and wait for nothing. The next day I call and leave a message stating I was frustrated nobody called or showed up. Yeah, it was Saturday so I didn't expect a call back until Monday. Nope, it was Thursday when they called and said "I still am not sure why nobody showed up, would you like to reschedule". Hell no. I don't have time for companies that take days to contact back. Imagine if I did contract with them and there was a problem or change during the process. How long would it take to call back? A month or two? With so many landscaping places in Richmond I suggest you skip this one and call others. P.S. the other companies I contacted all called the next day or 2 and showed up at the scheduled time.

They did a nice job on a tricky irrigation problem.I did not give 5 stars since the job was just completed and there has been no rain to test the efficacy of the project but I'm optimistic!

When we bought our house was amazing but the yard was an unusable swamp that held water for weeks at a time. Trevor fixed all of that and delivered a well-graded yard that drains quickly with fence to fence grass growing. I was shocked at the results and recommend him 1,000,000%.

We got quotes from different companies but settled on Trevor because he clearly was a visionary that thought outside of the box to tackle difficult projects. He promised us fence to fence grass but we thought that would be impossible but that we would take whatever improvement he could give us. He quickly got us on his schedule and he and his very friendly team came for 6 whole days with great equipment, graded the yard, dug an elaborate system of trenches, made two driveway cuts, detention basins, sump pumps, drain pipes, and reclaiming and trenching and lining with rocks an old unusable old drain ditch. Amazing work, and when a few spots were still not draining properly, he quickly came back out and put in 2 more whole days of work making it right. Give my most high recommendation to Trevor and his team. Perhaps best of all, he didn’t try to up-sell us on our project or tack on a bunch of change orders. He gave us a fair price for just the project we needed for now and stuck to it until the end.

Green Dream was recommended to us by a friend, and we are happy to further pass on the recommendation to others. Trevor was extremely knowledgeable and worked with us to re-do our landscaping to fit our needs and style. We needed a re-do of our front and side landscaping (which was outdated and overgrown) and a removal of old beds, unwanted plants, etc. in the back yard. The team worked very quickly, but the work was of great quality. The process was organized and simple. The updated shrubbery is beautiful, we are so happy with it.

Had a great experience with landscaping my front garden beds. Great crew who knocked the whole project out in a single morning. Would highly recommend them.

My wife and I recently used Green Dream Landscaping for our first major landscaping project as home owners. We had them come in and re-grade our front and back lawn and then put down Bermuda sod. Even though it is currently dormant this time of year, it is coming in very nicely and will look forward to nice lush green grass.

We also had them paint our porch foundation and lay blue stone on our front walkway and steps, which turned out fantastic!!

Finally, we had them put in a garden bed in the front for us to decide what we want to go in there.

Working with Green Dream was a great experience. Trevor, Jerri, and their team were very accommodating, patient (with all our questions), and professional. They also provided constant communication with us throughout the entire process.

We are extremely happy with their work and how our project turned out. We will most definitely reach out to them for any future landscaping projects and recommend them to others.
