Since 2021 Kane Landscapes has transformed our backyard into a place joy and tranquility for our family home... Flagstone patio, with surrounding tasteful plantings, irrigation, new sod, trimming and protecting trees back to life even after deer decided to feast on them through winter.

A large built-in BBQ has my sons-in-law asking if they can test their grilling skills...Yes, please! ......A beautiful fire pit that invites the family around for good conversations. We couldn't be happier.

This past year we also moved our yard maintenance needs to Kane Landscapes after 16 years with other companies. The care and transformation exceeded my expectations. Area Manager Bobby Gordon was always in contact being proactive to suggest ideas on how we could turn lawn/ plantings to even greener healthier versions. The weekly maintenance staff were cheerful and diligent in their work.

I recommend Kane Landscapes with the absolute highest rating! I met Josh Kane in 2009 when we lived in McLean and had just installed a 35K gallon freeform pool in our backyard. We hired him to landscape the backyard, build a pool house, and install a stone retaining wall and pavers around the pool. Everything turned out so beautifully that we hired him again 15 years later when we moved to Alexandria and built a new home. This time we needed two stone retaining walls, as well as landscaping for the front, back, and side yards. We consistently have neighbors asking us what kind of grass we planted, what trees and shrubs are blooming, what kind of pavers we used, etc. This is all due to Josh’s team doing their job so well.
Josh was excellent about listening to what I wanted and then finding a way to deliver exactly that. I am very detail-oriented and he did not disappoint. But if you have no idea what you want to do, he is also a fantastic resource to bounce ideas off of, or you can ask him what he thinks and you can make decisions that way. He has a great deal of knowledge about local flora and will suggest plants and trees that will thrive in our area. He has good contractors on his team and if anything goes wrong, he is quick to address it. He’s also great about answering questions post-project. You can tell he loves what he does and I would trust him completely with any future landscape project.

Kane Landscapes designed and installed a beautiful concrete-base patio for us. I reached out to fm&h landscaping to power wash and replace the polymer sand in my existing patio. After seeing their work, I added more to the project. They fixed the drainage problems I’ve had in my yard that other landscapers have attempted and failed. They installed sod and edging and fixed a leaking sprinkler. They can do everything and do everything well.

Hired FM&H to re-sand the pavers on our driveway and to build a retaining wall in the backyard. They completed the job timely, did a great job, and their staff was very courteous and responsive. There was also additional work we wanted to be completed and they explained to us why it was not a good idea, which made a lot of sense. So we appreciated their honesty and expertise to not take on work that didn't make sense. We would definitely hire them again. Thank you for the hard work!

This was our first engagement with FM&H Brothers and will not be our last. Faustino and his crew did an excellent job in several landscaping areas--leaf removal, mulching, fertilizing, and installing plants. During his consultation visit, Faustino also noticed a low spot under the front deck against the house wall that we'd forgotten about; he addressed that as well. Working with Angie in the office was quite smooth, too--very responsive, offering good communication and accurate information. Since that work, we've also been able to meet Max to discuss other projects at home and at our school and have a couple more in mind. We recommend them highly.

I hired FM&H for landscaping. Faustino and his team did a great job trimming bushes all around my house, cleaning my yard beds, applying new edging, installing gutter drains using pop-up emitters, leveling low areas, and laying sod in several places. These guys are fantastic, and their work is superb. Faustino and I talked often during the job. We did a job walk-thru twice before he even started work.
