Quick, service. Troubleshooted a circuit issue and made corrections and repairs. A few days later my tenants found a large scorch mark on one of the outlets replace. I have called and texted numerous time for about 10 days he will not answer any calls or texts. There is zero response! I would think this is an urgent matter. I will call another master electrician to diagnose issue, and correct. We will see if this was an issue that is different or one that was faulty install, we will then proceed from there. I would not recommend Catle Electrical as I have just 2 requirements, 1- do the job and if there is an issue later 2- respond and assist in diagnosing and correcting. He has failed. These are elderly tenants.

Update on your response and the outlet: This outlet you (according to the tenants) pulled out to check and pushed back in when done (and you told me on the phone that you checked all the outlets that had no power and that was one of them in that room). The Master electrician that followed up on this stated that when you pushed the outlet back in, the hot wire was bent and had tension against the metal box and a metal edge in the box ended up making contact with the wire a few days later as the tension on the wire had pressure against the metal box. When the contact was made between the hot and the ground of the metal box It cut a piece of the hot wire and flared scorching the wall. The electrician then had to clip the wire, then while pushing back he ensured that it did not have any contact with the box and without any tension that would cause it to press up against the metal box. This I am sure was an accident, accidents happen. I don't care how busy you are, as a "Master" electrician having seen this picture on an outlet you did touch, you SHOULD'VE made time in 14 DAYS since the event to stop by, check and correct the issue. YOU MADE ZERO contact with me text, email, phone, nothing!!! which everyone knows is PROFESSIONALLY UNACCEPTABLE and YOU know it and ANYBODY reading this and seeing the picture will know that you may not respond back at all, if there is a problem with an outlet that appears to be a POSSIBLE major catastrophe after a service you provided, whether it was an accident or not. Old home plus elderly people plus an electrical fire and you are too busy??? Doesn't matter how many reviews you have had, THIS occurred and you have nothing but excuses and ZERO care.

Wayne arrived on time and not only handled the electrical issue we called him about, but also took the time to diagnose a problem we are having with an electric cart. His charge was reasonable and we will definitely us Castles Electrical again.

Overall great experience. I submitted a request online for a Tesla charger install. Wayne got with me immediately and worked around my schedule. The job was done quickly and efficiently. He was very professional and it shows in his work. On another note, I asked him to stop by my workplace due to plug shortages and he came to trouble shoot. Although the issue was minor, he was super professional about it. I will be using this company for all of my future electrical needs from now on.

Castles Electrical installed a Tesla charging station in my garage. The appointment arrival was timely; the installer was professional, competent, efficient, and friendly. Certainly, if I had any other electrical issues outside of the station, I would definitely make a return call.

Amazing work. This company is the exact definition of professional. Wayne Castle was on time for both the estimate and to do the work. His time estimate was spot on. He answered all of our questions as he did the work. He was extremely friendly and cleaned up as he did the work. I would HIGHLY recommend this company for your electrical needs and avoid those big name places.

Just for the purpose of showing pictures, I removed the switches and outlet from the boxes he installed to show you the care he took to make sure the work was clean and safe. Then took time to explain why he did it.

work done : 1) install canless circle light above shower and install new wiring and add a third switch to operate the light
2) Remove old bathroom vent fan then cut old dry wall to install a new bathroom vent fan and wire to a third switch.
3) wire vanity wires to third switch
The ceiling dry wall was left as is and not a reflection of this companies work.

Castles installed an EV charger and re-worked my electrical panel to accommodate the breaker. Wiring was routed under my house to the charger which Wayne mounted to the front of my house. The charger location is great, the conduit is routed and sealed neatly and professionally, and the drywall that was removed was put back in place perfectly.

Wiring was also ran in two of the upstairs bedrooms and dimmers were installed.Wayne also installed our lights and put together our chandelier, which had dozens of pieces and was extremely tedious.

We had recently received an estimate from a larger company for the same work. They gave us the wrong information about our electrical panel to try and sell us something we didn’t need. Our estimate was three times as much as the one Castles provided.

We are extremely happy with the work Wayne and his partner did. We are definitely going with Castles for future electrical work and we recommend you do the same!

The service was excellent. I was given an arrival window of 11:00–11:15 a.m.which I’ve never seen before—and he actually showed up right at 11:05. He quickly diagnosed the issue, gave me an estimate, and fixed the problem.

When you call a specialty expert, you usually expect to get price-gouged. My original plan was to call a handyman or use someone recommended by coworkers who do electrical work on the side to save money. But having a certified electrician handle the job turned out to be the smarter move, and his price was extremely fair. That’s really what matters most, and it’s one of the main reasons I’m leaving this review.

My kitchen wall outlet had caught fire due to a power surge, and I was sure this repair would cost over $600. What really impressed me was that when I first explained the issue over the phone, he gave me a ballpark estimate before even coming out, and the final cost was right in that range.

I was looking to get a Tesla Powerwall 3 installed to take advantage of the expiring federal tax credits. I was working with a local solar installation company but their price was clearly outrageous. They were not interested in doing a battery only installation. I found Castles Electrical on the Tesla website. I called the number, Wayne the owner answered, from that moment forward, what a great experience. I could tell his estimate was reasonable. I made the decision to proceed and wrote a check on October 7th. He ordered the battery which arrived from Richmond on the 14th. Wayne was ready to start the installation the next day. He explained the installation and asked questions as to preferences on where to install components and run conduit. The installation went smoothly and was professionally done. My main electrical panel in this 60 year old house was a disorganized mess. As part of the installation Wayne had to separate grounds from neutrals. The result was a neat organized electrical panel. This process took 8 business days from signing contract and making down payment, battery shipment and delivery to installation and system up and running. I can’t say enough about what a great experience it was.

An Excellent experience. Prompt communication, even on a weekend. On time and was able to restore power to our house because of a generator issue and took the time to explain exactly what was going on. Very reasonable cost and we will definitely be using Castles again. Thank you Wayne!

Two of my kitchen outlets stopped working and after some basic troubleshooting - reading voltage and checking the breaker - I decided it was outside of my abilities to repair confidently. After looking through the local electricians, I settled on Castle for their wonderful reviews and fair pricing standard, and let me tell you it was the right choice! Castle was out here in an hour and after checking out the problem area, he traced the issue back to a still functioning outlet that had rusted through in the connection, and thus was tripping out the outlets down the line. He had the investigation and repair done in under an hour and replaced the two other damaged outlets while fixing the wiring to ensure it wouldn't happen again. In total the price was 199 dollars, which was more than reasonable as I expected twice as much! He was fast, respectful of my home and of my pets. I will Absolutely use Castle Electrical again!

I would give Wayne a 10 if there were 10 stars! Excellent communication, excellent work, fabulous clean up, kept in touch with texts for arrival times and more. He installed a Tesla charging station, exterior electrical outlet, etc.We will be using him again shortly. Highly recommend him for any electrical service you need.

From start to finish, my experience with Wayne Castle and Castle Electric has exceeded all of my expectations. I was having an ongoing issue with two new electrical outlets that were installed by another electrical company as part of a kitchen renovation. The other company had been back twice to troubleshoot the issue, once tightening the connections on the new outlets and the second time replacing the GFCI to them. The power continued to be intermittent to the two new outlets. When Wayne arrived, he not only checked those outlets but also pulled the outlets up-stream of those two which the other electric company had not done and found that the outlet that proceeded the new ones had a melting wire. He replaced that, and I asked him to please go ahead and replace all of the outlets along the kitchen counter, which is where the faulty one-was which he graciously did, and he found two more that would’ve been problematic down the road. I also had him install two dimmer switches while he was there. I also want to say that from the moment I called Castle the interaction was effective and courteous and that Wayne said he would show up between nine and 915, showing up on the nose at nine. That alone is worth a special mention. In addition to that, the price was very reasonable for all the work he performed. I definitely recommend Castle Electric and will most certainly use them for any electric needs that I have in the future.
Update 1/23. I used Castle’s electric to retrofit can lights and install new dimmers. Again, I was impressed by Wayne’s punctuality, carefulness, value and professionalism.

For years we have had to raise and lower our boat with only an extension cord! Wayne came out and ran power to the boat dock and hooked up the boat lift motors and installed a gem remote. Now we can raise our lower our boat with a remote control! Wayne was friendly, professional, and got the job done!

Castles Electrical inspected and replaced two (2) interior receptacles that were not wired correctly on the same day I called, specifically on Saturday. They contacted me within ten minutes after requesting an estimate through a simple Google search. The electrician arrived that afternoon and was finished within an hour. Wayne was professional, courteous, and explained while showing me what the issue was and proceeded to inspect all of the remaining receptacles in my home. For anyone considering an EV charger install, they are knowledgeable and capable. They installed both Tesla Wall Connector and Emporia Pro w/ power management for me. Very pleased with both installations.

I noticed a burning smell coming from my breaker inside the house and the meter on the other side of the wall, outside, and Wayne was able to squeeze me in last minute at the end of the day on a Friday, which was such a relief.

He quickly diagnosed the issue(s) and had everything fixed in a little over an hour. Wayne was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind throughout the entire visit. As someone who isn’t knowledgeable about electrical work (and honestly, as a woman letting a stranger into my home), there’s always a bit of stress and worry about being taken advantage of or overcharged. I never felt that way with Wayne, I felt completely safe, comfortable, and respected the entire time.

I was so impressed not only with how efficiently he resolved the problem, but also that it ended up costing only the service call. Exceptional service from start to finish. Castles Electrical has earned a lifelong customer. Highly recommend!

I hired Castles Electrical again after such a great first experience, and they delivered once more. Wayne moved and installed a new junction box for a dining room light, and everything was done efficiently and with great attention to detail.

Heather was super helpful getting the appointment scheduled quickly, and Wayne arrived on time and went straight to work. He even reused drywall to patch the old opening and made a few smart adjustments to the pendant so everything looked and worked perfectly.

Professional, friendly, and left the space clean. I’ll definitely be calling again to install a ceiling fan. Thanks again!
