Wow, solar services! Customer service- customer service- five stars. From the guy giving me the quote, the guys coming out doing the work, and the follow up seeing how the job went! Highly recommend.
They represent how companies should be!

We have wanted a solar pool heater for some time and after extensive research we finally came across Solar Services. The gentleman that came to our house was a very nice and informational person. He answered all of our questions and provided feedback on other areas of our pool pump. Thanks to him we decided to proceed.

On the day if installation the team from Solar Services arrived and talked me through the entire installation and then worked with my wife on how to use it. They were nice, efficient and knowledgeable. Even told me how to fix the bubbles in my pump.

Our heater has now been installed since early May and we have seen the water temperature rise enough that my wife and I are were able to go swimming 1 WEEK before Memorial day weekend! We have never been able to do that because my wife and I will only go swimming when the temp reaches about 85 degrees. It got up to comfortable 88 and we had a great weekend with the kids swimming.

I also want to talk about how nice the guys Will and Mike (?) are when I have called. Both are super easy to talk to and provide great customer service.

If you live in NoVA, I highly suggest using this company. I am going to tell you it is worth it!

strongly recommended. I had a great experience while on the phone with Sue, she even managed to save me some money by having another non local appointment scheduled the same day. The techs that came to work were professional and courteous and one had been with the company 30+ years which IMO says alot about the company. I moved to Suffolk a year ago and bought a home that had solar installed. What I didn't know was that the company that installed it had gone out of business. And, to make matters worse, as far as I could tell, the solar was not working. I started calling the big solar companies--the names are not important--and none would help me. If they didn't install it, they wouldn't touch it. Then, insult to injury, I found out the installation had caused a leak in the roof that had been painted over inside. Great.
It was then that I finally found Solar Services. Not only did they agree to come out and diagnose my system, but they got it working again and remapped the panels so that I could monitor the output. One panel had been damaged years before and they were able to find a compatible panel and replace it. Along the way they removed all the panels and stored them in my barn so the roofers could repair the leak. Solar Services returned after the roof repair and reinstalled the panels with updated special brackets to guarantee the roof's integrity. My system is now up and running! But the story doesn't end here.
After getting things up and working they told me about the SREC purchase program whereby I can essentially sell the "bragging rights" for producing solar to a company. They helped me set it up and I get a check every month for each megawatt of output the previous month. This further reduces my overall cost of electricity.
I've been so impressed by Solar Systems, that I had them come back out on April 19th and install a solar system for my in-ground pool. We started tracking the water temperature on 25 April (68.9F). On 30 April, the temperature was 82.3F! We started swimming the next day!
I can't say enough good things about Solar Services. It is a family business and the way I am treated, I feel like part of that family. They are reliable, dependable, and available.

Crew showed up on-time and did a very good job. Solar system was installed in 1 day and works even better than advertised. Pool went from 68 to 84 degrees in 2 days. Everyone we worked with was very nice and answered all of our questions.

We've had our solar pool heater for two seasons and are extremely satisfied. Although there was an initial hiccup with the estimate, the staff at Solar Services was very responsive and we were satisfied with the price. The installation crew was on time, courteous, and left no mess behind. The collectors were installed on the pool house roof and the crew added extra hurricane straps due to our concern about high winds in our area. The crew leader was friendly, very knowledgeable and professional. He carefully explained and demonstrated the system and answered all of my questions. The system is very sturdy and neighbors have remarked that it blends well with the structure. We have added at least two months to our pool season here in the Northern Neck of Virginia. We supplement the system with a solar pool cover in the early spring and late summer and easily get the pool to 80+ degrees in early April and late September. I once got the pool temperature to 95 degrees. This past season I opened the pool at the end of March, we were in it in early April and our last day in the pool was in early October. I recommended the system to every pool owner I encounter..

This is our second solar installation (first one is up in Pennsylvania, using a PA-based installer). This one in Sandbridge was with Solar Services. I was impressed with Solar Services through every step of the project. First, they beat the other two quotes we had received with very similar equipment, and they were able to get a larger array designed for our property. Second, they have been around for a long time and have an excellent reputation. Third, they were able to get our job squeezed in before our rental season started, on fairly short notice. Fourth, they knocked out the installation FAST. Once they started, they were in and out in 2 days, and were very respectful of the property. Lastly, they were super kind and easy to work with. Communication was great, and timely at all phases of the project. We would use Solar Services again, for sure. I would post photos for you, but their design made the panels pretty much invisible from the street! Another bonus, I guess.

We had our solar pool heater installed by Solar Services back in 2020 and they were amazing from the very beginning. They took time to answer questions, walk us through the process, and even find obscure technical data for our HOA related to the panels. Most recently our Hayward Solar controller malfunctioned and Solar Services has been very responsive in helping us with a replacement part while providing some alternative solutions to consider. I highly recommend them!

Our solar monitoring equipment was not working because we needed a new gateway. Solar Services was never less than professional, efficient and responsive in working with us and installing the new one. We have transferred oversight of our system to them and are happy we did.

I couldn't be more pleased with Solar Services. We just purchased a Tesla and required installation of a charger into our garage. I called SS, and an estimate was scheduled for the next day. I thought the estimate was fair and the installation was scheduled for two weeks later. The installers arrived on time. They were obviously able/competent and very careful, actually wiping down the walls of my garage where there were scuff marks. Within an hour, the charger was installed and working. I couldn't ask for a better transaction/installation.

And, I had called three other companies leaving voice messages for a call back. One hasn't called yet and the two others called ten days and two weeks later.

Solar services installed 28 panels on my roof fast and professionally. I purchased all the equipment and materials myself and had them install everything. It is a grid tied setup and it had been working perfectly since it was commissioned about half a year ago and has been saving me a ton on my bill. I highly recommend them for any solar installation or service needs!

Solar Services installed a heat pump to help us extend the use of our pool at the beginning and end of the summer season. Planning with them was excellent from the outset. We made the decision to go with Solar Services last year and they willingly accommodated our desire to wait until this spring for the installation. We were contacted well in advance of the agreed upon date to ensure we were still on track for the work. The crew arrived that day and did an excellent job integrating the heat pump into our existing pool filtering system. They were thorough in providing operating guidance and ensured they left our property in as original condition as possible considering the work needed to bury an electrical line from the house to the site for the heat pump. We will be return customers of Solar Services should the need arise. They have our strongest recommendation for others to consider for solar solutions and excellent service.

Installed recently a tesla charger. Earlier installed both electric and water solar panels on roof. Great job each time. Responsive, efficient, and they produced results. Couldn’t ask for more.

I could not recommend Solar Services enough. We actually used them for a second opinion and we found they were much more professional, thorough, and responsive. Will in specific took the time to come out after working hours to get us an estimate and to make sure everything went well after the jobs were finished. Solar services also quoted us at a much more affordable price for a much more thorough job. The first job was a Tesla charger and the second was a cable run through the attic. Although they ran into a few bumps on the road, they never made us feel like the job would not get done or gave us any worries anyways. They were very kind and even cleaned up very well afterwards. One thing to note that wasn’t a problem for us was that in both jobs they showed up earlier than expected which we prefer anyways. Solar Services was overall the best company to go with and we will definitely be coming back for future projects.

We were extremely pleased with the quality of Solar Services work. They installed a solar system with 32 panels, and an electric vehicle charger. The installation team, led by Thomas and Adam, were very efficient, installing the solar system in just one day. Thomas and Adam returned to install the charger in less than a day. Arthur oversaw the project and was a very effective liaison when questions arose. Then Will was extremely helpful in getting our solar credits (SRECs) set up. We interviewed two companies and picked Solar Services because they were recommended by friends for quality work and attentive customer service, including willingness to travel here to the Eastern Shore when needed. Indeed, the Accomack County Building Department was also very complimentary of the quality of Solar Services work. We highly recommend them to our Eastern Shore neighbors.

We recently had a 10kw system installed on our back roof in James City County. Solar services had great communication the entire way. We were updated along the way with every step and they installed the system faster than I could have hoped for. It’s operating perfectly and am very pleased with the investment.
