Not been satisfied with schedule or app to track truck. Last appt guy was 1 1/2 hour late...no call, no app. Makes it aggravating if you have children or dogs to keep off grass for several hours after service. Until lately I was satisfied. I placed a complaint a few weeks ago...nothing. The service itself has been good..scheduling & app are chief complaints.

Donald always takes the time to answer my questions or my concerns. He always addresses them. I think he does a fast and accurate servicing on my lawn, and he always Tells me if he has any concerns about the yard that I need to address such as watering or cutting

The guys that came to aerate and seed my lawn were very kind, knowledgeable, and listened to my concerns. I definitely recommend them!

I have been very happy with Trugreen. Our yard looks better than it has since we first moved it. They communicate very well through the app and text messages. The price was right too. Highly Recommend!

Do not waste your time and money with true green. We hired them last fall and have paid $1000+ for our yard to look AWFUL! We have random clumps of grass from where the guy SPEED seeding actually got some seed down. They seeded our front and back yard within 20 mins and split seed all over our driveway. I called numerous times in the fall and they sent a guy out who hand spread a few spots and told us it would look better in the spring. Here we are and it’s embarrassing how bad our yard looks. I’ve called to ask to have a local manger come out several times and no response. I want my money back so I can hire a reliable company who will stand behind their work.

Have had True Green Service for many years and Donald P is our favorite specialist! We have recd many compliments on our lawn!

True Green is dependable and knowledgeable. Their expertise has our lawn looking much better. We also love the monthly mosquito spray. It is nice being outside without worrying about the mosquitoes biting us. Highly recommend True Green lawn service.

I liked that I had received a text message letting me know that Tori B. was going to be at my address soon to perform my TruMaintenance Lawn Services followed by a text message saying he had arrived. Tori B. was professional and polite. He was able to answer all of my question and give me recommendation for my lawn and landscaping. I was provided a Lawn Assessment. I would request again for his services.

I was pleased that I received a text message saying that my Trugreen Specialist Tree and Shrubs maintenance was going to be arriving soon and that Joshua S has arrived. He was professional and friendly. I was very impressed with his knowledge. He explained everything that was going on in my lawn bed and gave great recommendations in how to improve my condition and the importance of being on the plan and what it will do with the application of the fertilizer. I wish that he was outfitted with the application to treat shrub infections that he didn't have outfitted on his truck but will apply on his next visit.

I would like customer service to be improved. I had asked for a call back nor an email from a TruGreen supervisor and didn't receive one back to request my concerns from my previous treatment. I even tried reaching out to Andrew (Drew) by phone and text message and no return response.
I did have a good visit by the specialist Ulysses P. He walked my grass and answered my question. He was professional and polite. Once he put down the granular fertilizer with the push speader, he used his blower to blow it back onto my grass rather than the previous time when it was left behind in my neighbors driveway as well as mine that I had to go out and blow back onto. He left comments and note card on my door.

Talked to the technician about the condition of my lawn. He said he would pass my concerns along.

We chose Trugreen and are so grateful that we did!
Our service has always been on time, professional and at times somewhat impressive and amazing to witness.
Every employee we have interacted with has been polite, friendly, respectful, kind and professional.
We have taken care of our almost one acre, tall fescue, manicured lot for years.
Our yard has never looked as good as it does this year.

I would give negative stars if I could. My husband and I have put in hundreds of dollars into this company. I’m writing this post due to: 1) The personnel would come out and service our yard in a complete rush. We would watch them basically run up and down our yard thus causing their gadgets ( that sprinkle fertilizer or seeds) to spray everywhere but on the grass/needed area. I had thousands of grass seedlings growing in my flower pits. 2) Not once did they ever de-thatch the yard before placing grass seed. This was after supposedly killing all the weeds (that never died). 3) the personnel working forgot to grab the correct seed. They sprinkled what they had on hand thus causing our yard to have multiple different types of grass. Some areas would grow in large balls. 4) we watered the heck out of the yard (having $600- 1000 plus water bills) and the ENTIRE yard eventually died completely. 5) we complained for months saying the yard died. something is wrong. We called the main office numerous times. They kept saying we didn’t water it enough. They said that a manager would come and visit to see the yard ( we never heard from the manager) 6) They kept servicing our dead lawn!!!! They fertilized dirt with no grass or seed!! 7) we got fed up with waiting for a manager that we called to cancel. Not only was all of our previous calls and complaints NOT recorded in the system, the same person we talked to many times pretended to not know we ever had issues and suggested, again, to have the manager come out! 8) After canceling we got a call from the manager. They said that they need to service our lawn… we said that we canceled. The manager was completely confused and asked why. He then demanded pictures…. Unbelievable!!

It takes many seasons to establish a thick fescue lawn in the fields of Moyock. You have to gain control over all the natural wild grasses and weed seeds that drop in with the windy conditions. TruGreen customer service is outstanding, and they follow up with a call to ask if the issue has been resolved. Who does that these days?

I have been a customer for over 20 years. My yard was sand and weeds because it was new construction. I had them seed my yard and it has been green since. I really love that I contact them if I see weeds within 30 days and will come back out.

These guys absolutely murdered my brand-new tall fescue sod installed in October 2022. The first picture was taken in January 2023 before purchasing a TruGreen contract. The second two pictures are the current status as of August 2023.

When I called to express my displeasure with the awful state of the lawn, TruGreen dispatched a “senior technician” who left completely unhelpful boilerplate recommendations like:
1.“Mow often enough” (no duh).
2.“In the absence of rain, water 1-2 times weekly” (see comment for #1).
3. Stay off areas until treatment has dried (despite the same notification stating “no products were applied”).

When trying to speak to an actual local technician, all calls route to a national call center where a polite operator proceeds down their excuse flow chart detailing how the customer is to blame for their awful service. The icing on the cake is having no mechanism to cancel an automatic subscription to a recurring annual plan until all service is complete for the current calendar year.

I wish I would have read these bad reviews before my husband signed up for true green. We could have saved so much money and frustration. What everyone is saying is true. Our yard is a mess and we paid for seeding that did not take despite watering it and doing everything correctly. They are out seeding an aerating today when it's in the 30s. They are simply taking peoples money, having technicians rush through services and not seeding properly and then insinuating that it's because we walked on our lawn and didn't water it. We seeded last year and it looked so much better than what true green did. There is no growth after 3 weeks of it being seeded and am so livid that they won't offer a refund. It's mind blowing that they just want your money, rush through services and won't take accountability especially when it's too cold to properly seed and it grow. They won't give me a refund or come see my yard to see what I am talking about. I am canceling my service with them and will never use them again and ensure I let anyone who is looking for lawncare and seeing know to not use them. They do not make things right when they do wrong. They simply state there's nothing they can do and don't offer refunds. They came and resseded upon request and it's already too late with how cold it is to ensure proper germination. We paid for nothing and it's not okay that they can't offer a refund for their technicians rushing through seeding by speed walking. I have it on camera. Would never recommend their services.

We have been customers for 5 years, and they have always given us great service. When there was a problem , it was promptly addressed. We like the service, products and techs so much .We always refer our neighbors and friends. We are very satisfied customers.

We used TruGreen several years ago and discontinued the service due to them not being reliable and having poor customer service. I thought maybe they had improved and decided to give them another chance even though they are more expensive than other companies.BAD DECISION!! On the very first visit from them, they did not complete everything that was scheduled so I called them and they scheduled another service for the following week. When they didn't show up, I called and spoke with a clueless and rude person at what seemed to be a corporate office. I was basically told that the "ticket is open" but they hadn't scheduled it on the day they committed to due to lack of "staffing or product" (????) I cancelled everything.They are still a horrible company.Stay away from them unless you want to be constantly managing them.
