In the past 17 years Dynamo has replaced both interior and exterior lights, smoke detectors as well as installing and servicing my whole house generator. They are everything I demand in a home repair or maintenance business - friendly, reliable, professional. I wouldn't think of calling anyone else.

I contacted Dynamo with a unique situation in which I needed my electric meter box pulled away from the house to replace some rotten siding under the box. It required an electrician to disconnect the box (and power) and wait while the siding was repaired so that the box could be reconnected and the power could be restored as soon as possible. I thought coordinating that that process would be a nightmare, not to mention, expensive; however Dynamo was willing to accommodate the siding installer's schedule, and the whole job was done in about one hour. I highly recommend Dynamo Electric; they made feel that getting my small and somewhat unique job done was of primary importance to them, and they were a pleasure to work with through its completion.

After going thru several electricians since I moved into the area, I feel Dynamo is the only ones that I can truly trust to do a professional, quality job with no worries. They are always my “ go to” electrician!

I used Dynamo Electric in Williamsburg, Va. a few years after recommendation from a neighbor. It was a great decision and so I called Dynamo again recently to have them do some more electrical work. Paul came out to see what we needed to have done and then he sent the electricians to do the work the following week. We were most pleased again as a good experience....very efficient and knowledgeable men.

Quality company with good people at competitive prices. I started working with Paul Brinkley and his company when I needed maintenance for a generator on a previous house. I called and spoke with Christy and scheduled a visit with Nicole. That experience was so positive, that when we moved I called them again and Paul Brinkley (owner) came by to do a thorough analysis of our needs to provide an estimate. Dynamo's quote was competitive but the difference was their people. Christy, Nicole, Paul, Cody, Jason, Cameron, Marvin, and Cole were all knowledgeable and courteous professionals. I learned that Paul invested in his people with advanced training to further their competitive advantage. The James City County inspectors recognized their work and it was virtually a rubber stamp. We will be using Dynamo going forward. You should too!

Dynamo was very responsive to our needs and did quality work. Within a day of contacting them via their online form, we had an appointment setup for Paul, the owner, to come to our house, evaluate our needs and provide us with a quote. Paul explained everything very clearly, answered all of our questions and did not try and push a package on us that was more than we needed. Install was scheduled within 2 weeks and was completed in a day. The install team was great about communicating service interruptions and expected durations to us. Inspections were done and passed within 48 hours. Finally, Nicole, the generator tech who installed the system couldn't have been nicer, especially when I started asking a lot of technical questions about the inner working of the generator software. Overall a great experience!

We finally swapped out our 19 year old 12KW Generac stand by home generator for a new 18KW one. Dynamo keep our old 12KW going over its entire lifetime. We chose Dynamo to install a 22k Generac generator...and are so glad we did !!! The installation went without a hitch and the installers were professional and courteous. A week after the install we were having trouble with our dryer breaker tripping. When I called Dynamo about the problem they sent 2 technicians to our home within a few hours. We thought the problem was solved but the next morning I noticed sparks coming from the panel and a buzzing noise. Again , they promptly sent help (from Williamsburg to Gloucester where we live). Master Electrician Paul came with 2 electricians and they diagnosed the problem as basically a worn out 32 year old panel box. The way he quickly organized the replacement of the panel was amazing, a testament to his experience and expertise. The problem was not related to installing the generator, it probably had been bad for a while. We are so glad we linked up with Dynamo. A big thank you to Nicole, Paul and Kole for the prompt assistance .

Perfect performance—from the initial visit to the project’s completion. I especially commend the two technicians. They had to negotiate tight spaces and a complex layout to install a network of smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in our home. One location required them to cut a hole in a wall and crawl into a steeply angled area under our roof. When they were through, everything was working correctly and there was no mess to be found. Perfect.

Jayson and James were our electricians and did an amazing clean job! They were on-time, professional and most knowledgeable of the tasks at hand. The work areas appeared as if they were not even here, again very neat work which hold the utmost highest marks for us. I recently had a frustrating experience with this company. They incorrectly installed a switch, which has caused the lights connected to it to flicker constantly. I've called them back twice, and each time they assured me someone would get back to me. Unfortunately, three months have passed, and no one has ever shown up to resolve the issue.

The lack of follow-up and service is disappointing. I expected better communication and support from a professional service. I would not recommend this company based on my experience. Do you expect me to render public my real identity?

Dynamo Electric is a top-quality organization. Last week they replaced a motion light and diagnosed a long-term problem with an external electrical outlet. The technicians are competent, friendly and professional, I highly recommend them.

We had some work done on both our kitchen and garage. The lead tech worked on the kitchen and the apprentice worked on the garage. After they left, we realized that the garage work was not fully completed to satisfaction. It was something that my husband could easily finish up, but I did let the company know. Mistakes can happen and it was not a huge deal. It was then such a pleasant surprise when I received a nice card in the mail apologizing with half of our fee refunded as well as a discount coupon for future work. We took them up on that offer and all work was done professionally, promptly and with reasonable cost. I will definitely use them for any future electrical needs.
