Reviews of local pros in Windsor, Virginia

I was extremely impressed with their work.Roger had wonderful ideas to improve my landscape and the addition to the driveway was done perfectly. Would definitely recommend and actually plan to use them on another project.

We are very satisfied with everything Roger did to our front yard. He went the extra mile to make sure we get good results. He leveled the yard with topsoil, seeded and fertilized and then covered with hay. Roger cleaned everything and left the yard in great shape. We could not be happier. Highly recommend him for any type of yard work.
We know we will have a beautiful green yard.
God bless

Work was amazing ! We love our new yard. It is so great! Roger and his team were awesome to work with. If we have more work done. We will call them back!!!!!!!

Work was completed timely as scheduled. Roger was courteous and clearly explained the regrading process. Even took the time to do the extras - clearing debris and blowing off patio. Would recommend Solid Rock Lawn & Landscape.

We are so pleased with our paver patio. It looks great. So glad we decided on using a small local family business. Roger, the owner, was so great and easy to work with. They were neat and finished in a timely manner. They made sure any areas disturbed were topped with topsoil and seeded. Also gave us tips about weed control/care for the rest of our lawn. We were treated like family. 🤗

Roger and the team at solid rock are a pleasure to work with. We’ve been working with the team for many years for both basic lawn care and special projects, including patios, fencing and hard scape projects. The team is great to work with and always delivers! Highly recommended lawn care contractor!

Roger and his staff were punctual, professional and friendly. The job was to put up gutters and a drainage system for our backyard. It works like a dream. No more puddling on our hard surfaces. We are so grateful for the excellent job and fair pricing. We had received other quotes. Some were ridiculously high. Roger’s quote was much more reasonable. The workmanship was well worth the money. I would recommend this firm to all my family and friends. Job well done.

We had a wonderful experience with Solid Rock. We are one of the very few homeowners in the area with a basement, and this year we experienced a couple rains of biblical proportions. With these heavy rains, we experienced minor flooding in the basement. We called Roger and he came on the same day. Roger, listened to our thoughts and came up with a plan. We had full drainage system installed that should withstand the next "Grass Flood". Thanks again Solid Rock.

Not only did they do very high quality work, they arrived in a timely manner! The work was done by young, clean-cut professionals with a good attitude! We are thrilled with the landscaping work they completed this time, as well as last year when we used them to solve a major drainage issue. They are affordable and pleasant to work with!

Roger came in and helped us deal with an ongoing drainage issue in our yard. Very professional and great quality work. He has checked on us several times after completion to make sure everything was draining as he designed. I would highly recommend this company.

Solid Rock did an awesome job with several landscaping projects we recently had. The projects encompassed a brick patio with large flower bed and seating wall, fencing around a pool, yard grading / water drainage, sod installation, extending a concrete driveway with gates and landscape lighting. While the projects were going on, he made suggestions that enhanced the appeal of the overall projects. He also worked with us to adjust a pool fence height as what we originally had gone with, we ended up not likely once the 1st panel was installed. He was able to adjust the height by modifying the fence panels and helped us out of a bind. I recommend Solid Rock for all of your landscaping needs.

And as an added bonus, he actually calls you back right away when you reach out to him!

Roger and his crew did an outstanding job on extending my driveway. He communicated well with me and whenever a change had to be made from the scheduled time of his arrival, he let me know. I am well pleased with the work he did.

Solid rock (Roger) did an amazing job with our outdoor project. They went above and beyond with what we were asking and looking for. The pictures truly do not do the work they did justice. Their design for our project and the scope of this project was second to none. Our project consisted of

-landscaping/design
-Demo old patio and pergola
-Demo old landscaping/fence
-install new landscaping /raised bed
-install new brick columns /metal fence
-Landscaping lighting
-irrigation system
-new paver patio

They hit this one out of the park. Would definitely use again.

Solid Rock re-graded our yard, added soil, seeded, and installed erosion control. The owner (Roger) performed the work as if it was his own property. He is very knowledgeable, personable, respectful of the owner's time and property, and above all did the work for a fair price. We're looking forward to working with Solid Rock on our next project.

Roger and his crew did an amazing job putting sod in our backyard around our pool. They arrived online and got the entire job done in one day. The crew was friendly and profession and the sod looks amazing. I highly recommend Roger and Solid Rock!

Solid Rock did a superb job on my backyard. The superb work exceeded my expectations. The 2-man crew was very professional and friendly. They did a great job in cleaning up. I will definitely use them again.

We cannot say enough good things about Roger and his team. After being let down these last couple of years by both individual contractors as well as those licensed from major nationwide companies, on various home renovation projects, to have a group who went above and beyond was nothing short of a breath of fresh air. Roger worked with us on ideas for our project, as well as ideas and plans for future work. His team was professional, friendly, hard working. They communicated with us throughout the process and when they identified an issue they let us know what it was and how they planned to address it before they started. Keeping us informed every step of the way. When we noticed an issue a couple of weeks later, with one area of our cement patio Roger responded immediately and was over addressing the issue the same day. We cant wait to use our outdoor kitchen and lounge area, thank you so much Solid Rock!!

I hired Roger at Rock Solid to do some grading in my back yard. Who in the world would think it’s so difficult to do. They had to come back three times to make adjustments in the lawn. Never once did they act annoyed with having to come back. They were always pleasant and you could see it was going to be done right no matter what. His whole crew are great young men and I feel like I have a new friend in Roger and his son. I guarantee you’ll be happy with him and any service you need done. He’ll certainly be at the top of my list for any outdoors work, they’ll get it done and they’ll get it right.

Absolutely love our results and the long term guarantee on their work! We had our entire property landscaped, a smart sprinkler system installed, a gorgeous custom paver patio, custom outdoor kitchen/grilling area built, a raised garden area added, trees removed, over 140 plants & bushes planted, they also built a wrought iron style fence with lighted brick pillars, and more!
The team just came back out for touch ups 2.5 years later. We cannot say enough. Hands down the best in Hampton Roads!

Very excited about the finished project from Roger and his Solid Rock team. We had St. Augustine sod laid in our yard. Looks beautiful. Highly recommend.

Solid Rock is a great company with very professional workforce. Excellent craftsmanship in creating our concrete pad and fence structure for concealing our garbage can and creating kayak storage.
