I found MADEnergy from the PSE website and selected them over all others to install an EV charger and upgrade my panel. Mike came over to do a site survey after we spoke about what I wanted and needed. Mike was super helpful and explained the why to upgrades and how a wall EV charger was better in Puyallup than just a 240amp outlet.
Brandon was my lead electrician, his team worked quickly to turn my electrical vision into a reality. I am pleased with the quality of the work performed, the level of communication provided by the entire MAD Energy staff, and their professionalism throughout the time they were at my house!

Got a solar array and Tesla PowerWall installed by MadEnergy. We’re so happy with the end result! We had a great experience with MAD Energy NW installing an EV charger for us! We recently purchased an EV and were looking at have a Level 2 charger installed at our home. MAD Energy made sure we knew all of the incentives through our energy provider PSE as well as took care of all the licensing for us! They were very responsive and friendly through out the process, making sure we could reach out with questions at any time. For the actual installation, AJ and Michael were awesome and explained everything to us. They arrived exactly when they said they would and were quick and obviously very skilled with getting the charger installed. They also made sure before they left that we understood the inspection process that would be taking place within the week following (the inspector called us within the next day so they were very on top of this as well!). Everything exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be going back to MAD Energy for any future needs we have. I highly recommend to reach out to them!

Last summer, my husband and I set out to compare eight different solar installers. What we found was a mix of companies that were more interested in closing a quick sale than truly educating their customers. Many of them refused to take the time to explain how many panels the roof can set up for the ROI return in 10 yrs, the steps of the installation process, or the often‑complex HOA requirements that are so critical to get approval for the installation.

We finally chose Mad Energy because of their outstanding customer service, specifically the dedication of their salesperson, Brad. From the very first visit, Brad took a hands‑on approach: he studied our energy bills, and patiently answered every question we had, whether we asked in person, by text, or over the phone. His thorough explanations helped us understand exactly how many panels would work for us and how it would impact our monthly costs. Importantly, the price point was fair, neither the cheapest nor the most expensive option on the market.

The biggest challenge we faced was our HOA. Their board had imposed additional, unclear restrictions that weren’t even part of the official charter. Brad produced detailed drawings, cited city regulations, and sent comprehensive emails to the HOA board, effectively educating them about the project’s compliance. Thanks to his persistence and expertise, the board eventually approved our installation.

The actual installation proceeded smoothly and without any surprises.

The MAD Energy team are true professionals. Mike discovered an issue with the brand new panel we had installed after a remodel, which was causing our furnace to trip every time we used generator power. He spent a couple hours troubleshooting the issue, sent a proposal for the fix, and got the job scheduled within a couple weeks of accepting the proposal. They also sent recommendations for a new generator that would be more compatible with our setup. Thanks to MAD Energy, we now have heat when the power goes out!

I had Mike from MAD Energy NW stop by my home to assess my electrical needs as well as make sure I was ready for using a backup generator. He was thorough and professional. He did not try to oversell me on things I did not need. I've actually had a chance to get to know Mike and his business beyond that of a potential customer. From the initial appointment scheduling to the completion of the EV Charger project, MAD Energy NW was the BEST electrical contractor we have EVER worked with. EVER!

Our initial conversation highlighted walking thru the rebate system and the staff, most notably Trinity, presented the most "Can Do" perspective, We then met with a field rep who reviewed the project and immediately projected confidence and assurance; so we went with MAD.

Mad Energy installed an EV charger in our garage. Communication was excellent, we were kept informed throughout the entire process. My wife bought a new EV Charger for her new Tesla SUV but need someone to install it for our home. She searched the lists and found MAD Energy NW through PSE website to install the EV charger for us.
