Had Rain Pros install a French Drain at my home. At the completion of the job, they pointed out the PVC pipe and instructed me that an electrician would need to connect the wires inside the PVC to power to provide power to the drain motor. I was told they had a couple of electricians that they could recommend, so reached out after the completion of the job for a recommendation. After no reply for over a week, I just found an electrician on my own. Electrician shows up to find NO WIRES IN THE PVC! Called and emailed Rain Pros to understand what am I missing. No return email or call. So, after a $12K job, my support response is zero, nothing; radio silence. If this is the level of support I received, just imagine what level of support you might receive on your project. Now I'm left with finding someone to dig down 3-5 feet and HOPE there are wires to connect to power when they get to the bottom of the pipe, so buyer beware.
UPDATE: Aaron, General Manager, reached out to me to understand what went wrong. He sent a crew out and they fixed the problem within a day. If you take away this mishap, I'd give them 5 stars. They do great work, just need to tighten up the customer service call center. Given the whole experience, I would use them again and I'd recommend them as well. Thanks Aaron! -
Called Rain Pros to have them come out to inspect drainage system for downspouts. They sent two people for 4 hours and charge $1159. They were not able to find the outflow for the system and basically said we don't know what else to do for you. Also they broke an irrigation pipe and then repaired and covered it up without any explanation as to the method of repair.
I called a different drain company (Steady Flow Sewer & Drain) and they sent one guy out with camera and spent 2 hours and located the outflow of the system and there was no charge for this work as they would put an estimate together for what work needed to be done.
In the meantime i called Rain Pros on two occasions to speak to management and left message with person that answered the phone. After a week, no call back. Sent check in to company with a note voicing my displeasure with the cost of the work performed. A few days later someone called from Rain Pros and said they were the general manager. They said they would talk to the owner and get back to me. Nobody called back and they cashed the check. Dealing with this company was pretty much a disaster as they mostly seemed concerned with getting paid and not helping solve the problem. I have had a much better experience dealing with Steady Flow as owner has been involved and they don't charge until they can make some headway in helping the customer!
Reply to response from owner: I don't feel Riley the salesperson who bid the job was the sole source of the problem with the unresolved issues that i was dealing with regarding the work that was performed. I was willing to look at using the company for the further work that was needed, mainly digging a new outflow for the downspout system. I was hoping to get a partial credit towards the future work. After leaving 2 messages with the representative of the company and waiting almost a week and not having my calls returned, i choose to find another company to do the work. They sent one technician and he found the outflow in 2 hours when Rain Pros sent 2 techs for 4 hours and they could not locate the outflow. The general manager of Rain Pros called after receiving my payment and note regarding my thoughts about how things went. He said he would talk to the owner and get back to me. Weeks have went by with no call back. Only today when i posted a negative review did they call back. To little to late. I do not wish to have a refund of any sort and do not wish to speak to anyone from Rain Pros. In summary, there were communication issues with the salesperson, the techs, the person who took my messages and the general manager who never addressed my concerns in a timely fashion. -
This is the second time we've used Rain Pros, and they delivered outstanding results.
Our first experience with them was to replace our underground downspout system, and they exceeded every expectation. Naturally, we called them again when we needed additional drainage work, and they didn’t disappoint.
Water accumulates in one area near our carport. Based on our great first experience, we didn’t hesitate to contact Rain Pros again. Like before, their quote beat everyone else — offering high-quality solutions at competitive prices, which is almost unheard of in this field.
Joel and his team kept the worksite clean and organized, carefully protecting our landscaping and leaving the area spotless once the job was done. This is attention to detail and professionalism.
Rain Pros has proven to us twice now that they are reliable, skilled, and affordable. They should be your first call if you’re in the Northwest and need drainage solutions. -
We contacted Rain Pros because we wanted to put in a retaining wall around our car port. The slope of the existing grade made it unusable for our kids as well as made it difficult to mow and maintain. Additionally, the slope in to the car port resulted in a lot water driving in to and around the carport causing issues with the foundation. Aaron with RainPros was great from the get go; Very upfront and honest about what this type of project entails and what the end price would be. No beating around the bush and hidden gotcha fees and costs. Aaron and rest of the guys were great to work with. Can’t wait for our next project. They’ll be my first call.

We recently worked with Rain Pros to fix the underground drainage pipes on our property shortly after moving into our new home, and we couldn't be happier with the experience! Joel and his team were fantastic—rather than pushing the most expensive solution, they carefully assessed the situation and provided a thoughtful, cost-effective plan. The work was done quickly and cleanly, and even though they had to dig up parts of the yard, they put everything back so perfectly that you’d never know it had been disturbed. The whole process was seamless, and working with Joel was an absolute pleasure. Highly recommend Rain Pros!

We contacted Rainpros and they responded promptly and had someone out to inspect our yard very quickly. We were impressed with Joel's communication and professionalism. The install took only two days and we were very happy with the results! We already have neighbors asking us who we used and we are more than happy to refer them to RainPros!

We hired Rain Pros to install a sprinkler system on our 1/2 acre property. They arrived on time and completed the work in two days. They carefully marked where the trenches would go, removed the turf, and replaced it after they were done. You can hardly tell we had a sprinkler system installed! They did an excellent job, the work was exactly as promised, and the sprinklers works great. Highly recommended.

Yesterday, I had a very nice conversation with Aaron about a French drain that his team installed several years ago. The drain has functioned well ever since it was installed, but I had some questions about how it worked. Aaron did a thorough job of explaining this to me and I appreciated the great customer service. When the drain was installed several years ago, his team was hardworking, skillful, and careful not to damage the surrounding landscaping. In the rainy season, it pulls a lot of water out of yard. I pay Rain Pros every year to make sure the French drain is working well (free of clogs) and that the sprinkler system is ready to run for the season. It's a good investment, and I'm happy with the service. Thanks to Aaron and the team at Rain Pros!

Rain Pros were professional from initial vist to completion of the job. Needed new drain system for three downspouts. They handled all the details and did the job in one day. Left everything like they found it. I would recommend Rain Pros.

I hired Rain Pros to fix a leak in my sprinkler system. To make the process easier for them and to save time I put a bright orange flag in the exact area of the leak and noted which sprinkler zone was impacted. They sent 2 people out to do the job and worked for approximately 1-hour as that is all the time they had allotted for the project. I received a call after the hour saying they were unable to finish the repair and would need to reschedule for a later date.
I was completely shocked to receive an invoice for $322.59 for only the initial hour of work which included a $35 destination charge. I’ve seen attorney rates for less than that! There were no parts used and nothing was actually fixed. When I examined the area of the leak, I saw a very shallow hole they had dug which was no more than 5-7” deep (probably 2-3 gallons of dirt displaced total - see photos). There were some small roots in the area due to a rhododendron bush (the likely culprit of the problem) but nothing like tree roots and nothing that couldn’t be cleared by hand or with pruners and a shovel.
I called Rain Pros to express my concern about the charge and to see if they would work with me. I was told that the manager and owner would not reduce my charges. They said it would take at least another 2-3 hours for 2 people to finish the work (for a total of about $1100). I paid the initial $322 but I will no longer use this company for annual winterization of my irrigation system or any other projects. Very short-sighted to lose a customer over greed and short-term gain. I highly discourage using this company, please go elsewhere to save yourself the outrageous rates and poor customer service. -
Joel and his Team did an excellent job of re-landscaping almost all of our back yard. They thoroughly de-thatched the yard twice, very quickly added and spread 27 yards of fresh soil (with a team of 4 wheel barrows), rolled it several times to insure it was quite smooth (since we were trying to get rid of holes, settling spots, etc.), then put down seed, fertilizer and peat moss. All in one day's time and at a very competitive cost.
Since the ground level was raised, they also needed to raise several sprinkler heads and they actually moved three heads, in addition (within the quoted cost), to get better water coverage. The new grass is looking great after just three weeks (with just a few small spots needing 'touched up', which Joel indicated they would be happy to come out and take care of).
The men were all very professional and almost 'enthusiastic' about the work. We would highly recommend Rain Pros - epecially since they had previously done a great job putting in a French drain for us in the back yard a couple of years ago. -
Joel and his team provided excellent drainage solution to our water problem.
Quick turnaround and expertise you can trust.
Highly recommend their services.
Thanks again Rain Pros! -
“If I could give zero stars, I would.”
Called these guys out to deal with a clogged drain, clean the gutters, and check my sprinkler system. They showed up late, no phone call, no apology. When they finally did arrive, the tech seemed more interested in talking on his phone than actually working.
They “cleaned” the gutters but left piles of muck all over my driveway and flower beds. The drain issue? Still clogged. When I asked about it, I got a shrug and a “we’ll need to come back with different equipment” — which of course means another service call fee.
The sprinkler system was the cherry on top. They fiddled with it for maybe 10 minutes, told me everything was “fine,” and left. Guess what? Half the heads still don’t pop up, and one zone won’t even turn on.
When I called the office to complain, I was put on hold for 20 minutes, then told the manager “wasn’t available.” No follow-up, no accountability, just excuses. For the price I paid, I honestly could’ve done a better job myself with a ladder and a garden hose.
Bottom line: If you’re in Tacoma and need reliable gutter, drain, or sprinkler work, look anywhere else. These guys are unreliable, sloppy, and happy to take your money without fixing the problem. -
Not sure how well you can tell from my photo, but our backyard is a very irregular shape and I just couldn't figure out a good hose sprinkler setup that wouldn't get in the way. We decided to invest in an irrigation system, and Rain Pros offered a very reasonable quote.
They managed to knock out our back lawn, two garden beds, and the front lawn in just one day, and they even had to tunnel under a cement walkway! Everything was put back exactly as it was, so well that I needed to reference photos to see where the pipes are. Yup, they include a PDF of photos to reference! This will come in handy as we continue to fill in the backyard. I found the Hunter Hydrawise controller is easy to work with myself, but that could be a grain of salt since I'm one of those techy sorts. Even then, Rain Pros can help you set up the schedule too, so you don't have to worry about anything!
Honestly we can't speak highly enough of these guys, they rock. -
Rain Pros installed a sprinkler system for my home garden very efficiently and well. They gave me a bid quickly and scheduled the work right away. They were very easy to communicate with and the work is just what I want. I highly recommend them.

We recently had an irrigation system installed by Rain Pros and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the beginning, communication was excellent. Jeff, who managed the entire project, was incredibly responsive and made sure we understood every step of the process. He kept us in the loop and always took the time to answer our questions, which we really appreciated.
The pricing from Rain Pros was very reasonable—especially compared to other vendors we spoke with. The turnaround time was quick, and the crew showed up on time, ready to work. They were professional, efficient, and respectful of the property.
What really impressed us was how well they cleaned up after the installation. You wouldn’t even know they had been there as our yard looked untouched. It was a smooth, hassle-free experience from start to finish.
After such a great experience, we’ve already decided to use Rain Pros again for additional landscaping projects. Highly recommend them if you're looking for high-quality work with excellent service. -
RainPros fixed my drainage issues after having terribly design and incorrectly installed system by other contractors.
There were some hiccups but Jason has been extremely pleasant to work with and provided immaculate customer service. I highly recommend working with him. -
As a real estate professional in Pierce County, I often see homes with water intrusion and drainage issues. I highly recommend Rain Pros for these challenges. Their team consistently delivers work on time, at a price that beats the competition, and all services come with a warranty. Reliable, professional, and trustworthy—Rain Pros is a great company to work with!

Rain Pros is absolutely fantastic! My mom’s home was getting large puddles of water in the basement every time it rained. The carpet was constantly getting soaked, and she wasn’t sure what to do. She reached out to a few companies for suggestions and quotes, and Joel from Rain Pros stood out right away.
Joel came to the house, walked her through everything in detail, and explained the full installation process of a drainage system. He was professional, knowledgeable, and very helpful. The work was completed in just a few days, and since then—even through heavy rain—there hasn’t been a single leak or puddle in the basement.
Thanks to Rain Pros, my mom was able to install new carpet with peace of mind. We’re so impressed with their work and service—we highly recommend Rain Pros and happily give them a full 5-star review! -
5 stars! No doubt about it. Joel and the work crew were nothing short of excellent. As many other reviews reflect, they did the work specified in the estimate, at the estimated cost, and on time. Luceo and the work crew stayed late into the evening to ensure the job got done. Not only was the solution well done, but they also restored the landscaping back to its original condition. I could not be happier with the work they did. I have total confidence in the drain solution from Rain Pros. I highly recommend Rain Pros for any issues with your home. These guys know what they are doing and - bonus - they are genuinely nice and great to work with.

I’ve used Rain Pros to install drainage systems at two different properties, and both experiences have been excellent. Dealing with rainwater coming into your home is frustrating—especially in Washington where it rains so often. I spoke with several companies, but I wasn’t satisfied with the solutions they offered.
Joel from Rain Pros came out, explained everything clearly, and provided a smart, effective solution. He promised the work would only take a few days, and it was completed right on time. Since the installation, I haven’t had a single issue with water intrusion.
The peace of mind is priceless, especially knowing the service also comes with a warranty. Rain Pros is professional, reliable, and delivers on their promises. Highly recommend!
