Electrical reviews in Bellevue, Washington

The previous owner of my house did a lot of DIY wiring, and Jacob Electric has been here on several occasions to fix and update lighting and electrical, which has always ended up with extended work in repairing the previous DIY work.
They have always explained what they were doing and what they ran into while wiring. I am extremely happy with the improvements they have made on my house. -
We contacted Jacob Electrics to check out several issues we were having with outlets and tripping. The quick response, professionalism and customer service was excellent. The administrator that received our phone call was courteous, got us immediately on the schedule. She returned phone calls and also texted us arrival window. Our appointment was right on time, actually ahead, and phoned en route. Nelson Davis was the electrician and excellent, answered all our questions. He checked all issues thoroughly and fixed the problems. Troubleshooted every issue with professionalism and great customer service. Wonderful to find a place that exceeds expectations and Jacob Electrics is that company in all areas. Our experience excellent. Keeping on list for future needs. Highly recommend.

Mani Nasser installed 2 circuits for me. He even went to the store when he didn't have the correct parts in his van. Everything works, good job! This is the second time I've used Jacob Electric LLC and they did great work both times. Highly recommended.

I placed a ticket into Home Depot seeking an electrician to install an chandelier in my home and Jacob Electric reached out giving me an emailed for $325 on 3/7/2024. I called following morning (3/8/24) and spoke to an office assistant asking if this was the full price of install or just a quote. The lady confirmed that it was the price so I accepted and we scheduled an arrival time on 4/8/2024 between 3:30pm and 3:45pm. At 3:30pm (4/8/24) two electricians showed up and did the install. They had everything they needed and even stated the job was simple since the chandelier was very light. They finished and left at 5:30pm. I cleaned up after them and even threw the garbage out myself. After they left I received another invoice for $1,060. Looking further at the quote I show I was being charged for 4 hours for both the electricians on top of ladder fees, van fees, and travel time all that were not stated in the first quote. I called and spoke to Luka, who stated he is one of the owners, and all he said was to send an email to the manager to dispute the hours. I sent an email on 4/9/24 and they made a 1 hour adjustment which was still incorrect and I even stated that I have recordings of when the electricians showed up on my Simply Safe and when they left to prove the 2 hours of work time. Jacob Electric is unwilling to adjust the price and they are currently still asking for $959.59 on a job that I approved of at the original quote of $372 (after tax). I am worried that if I only pay the $372 they will send me to collections on the remaining I did not agree to pay. I have already submitted a Consumer Complaint report with the Office of Attorney General and I am trying to find other ways to protect me from this excessive charge and potential collections.
4/15/2024 - I ended up paying only because the company keeps giving me the runaround on working to lower the bill and I did not want to fall into their trap of being sent to collections as today was the final day per the contract to pay. I called on 4/12/2024 and spoke to a representative who seemed like he agreed that an initial estimate of $325 jumping to over $1000 is ridiculous and he stated he would look into it and call me later that day, which he did not so I assume this was just a way to get me off the phone. I am still perusing the consumer complaint process in hopes, at the very least, to spread the word to the greater community around this company and their shady and unethical practices. People should read their reviews posted from multiple other unsatisfied customers and on the Better Business Bureau showing they are rated F due to not caring about what their customers think or feel.
DONT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS I DID AND DO YOUR RESEARCH WITH THIS COMPANY BEFORE ALLOWING THEM TO ENTER YOUR HOME - SCAM ALERT - YOU WILL BE CHARGED WAY OVER ORIGINAL QUOTE -
I used them to replace a circuit breaker.
Pros: was able to get service appointment on the same day. job completed without any issues and they also provide free estimates.
Cons: overpriced. charged $180 excluding parts. I timed the technician and it did not take them more than 10 min to replace the breaker. -
Good quality of work, but very poor customer service and unclear pricing. The final invoice was significantly higher than the original quote, and they will not provide an explanation, or return calls. My original experience with them was great 3 years ago, but I will not recommend hiring them again after my latest experience.

I used this company to upgrade my heaters as well as install overhead lights in my living room. Luca provided an accurate estimate and explained the process showing me how the power was going to work for upgrade. Overall the project went smoothly. I did later learn that they use apprentices for projects that by law require a journeyman. I was not informed of the timeline for the inspector which ended up taking a long while, so if you are hoping for clear communication on this, it will not happen.

The two guys came in and did clean and efficient installation of my bathroom exhaust fan/heater combo. No problems. I would have appreciated if they had left me the product specs.

Mani and his assistant were amazing. They did a big job that took all day and they were really thorough, polite and, above all, mindful of us, our pets and belongings. Mani even went the extra mile when it came to small details that he knew would make my life easier and left everything spotless.

Scam Company.
Do not work with this company. Work quality was low, materials were purchased at home depot and they ran out of them multiple times and had to make more trips. That's not even the worst part.
Their pricing is a lie and a scam. After paying the invoice before the job was completed, they attempted to add another 25% ontop of the invoice in misc fees and additional work that was not agreed apon. When I told them that I would not pay for all these extra fees, they never showed up again and did not complete the job. I had to hire another contractor to come in and finish the job.
Over the last 2 years, they have attempted to collect on this tacked on charges, saying I owed them and going to send to collections.
They went as far as sending fake legal documents claiming they had filed suit against me. Obviously checking with the state/city/county they had no record of this and the filing # on the documentation they sent me was for an entirely unrelated case that had nothing to do with either party.
Making fake legal documents to scare your customers that you overcharged without concent? This company should be shut down. -
I rarely leave negative reviews, out of 200+ reviews, I can recall giving only one 1-star rating prior to this. Jacob electric had previously completed a couple of smaller jobs at my home, and I was satisfied with their work. Based on that, I hired them for a more complex project involving a full panel and service line upgrade. Unfortunately, this experience was deeply disappointing.
The initial crew assigned to the job appeared to be new hires, and the work they completed failed inspection. A second crew, whom I had worked with before was then sent to redo the work, essentially rewiring the entire panel. Even after their intervention, the project still did not pass inspection due to safety issues.
While the quality of work was a serious concern, what ultimately led me to write this review was the handling of the situation: repeated misinformation, unprofessional and threatening communication, and a refusal to take accountability. Based on my experience, I strongly advise others to exercise caution. There are many qualified electricians available, and as a customer, you have options.
While I anticipate a defensive or blame-shifting response, as I’ve seen in other cases, I feel it’s important to share my experience so others can make informed decisions.
A 2 days project turned to a 4+ months unfinished project with an open dispute including an unpaid balance and potentially court.
Sorry Luca and team for this review but you earned it. -
Outstanding and excellent experience service!. We needed to upgrade the electrical circuit to meet code for a new hot water tank installation. The customer service and communication experience was amazing from the moment that we booked the appointment to when the technician arrived. James, our technician did an excellent job of surveying where we were at and gave us options as to how to correct the deficiencies. He and his team upgraded our circuit and wiring correctly, efficiently and with minimal impact to us. I highly recommend Jacob electric . They know what superior service and craftsmanship are.

I would avoid this company at All Costs.
I have owned my own General Contracting Business for over 25 years.
This Team is the Worst I have ever seen in my time. We have done over 450 Million in Business since 1996 and these types of companies should be banned from working in our State.
We have paid them for their work except a 5% Holdback. They sent this to collections and after reaching out directly to get Squared away they say we owe more then the Collections Company that they hired claims we owe.
This is silly Business practice over $938 US Dollars.
I would recommend going to our State Attorney General like I'm now forced to do for the first time in 25++ years in Business.
I have never given a 1 Star Review to any business ever. This is a First for me.
Stay away or take the risk that you will get burned and misled like we have been.

Jacob Electric battled us all through this EV Charger project. We targeted installation in 3 units to see how it went. There was a discrepancy from the beginning with hours spent, scope of work, scheduling. The communications between techs and our on-site maintenance staff was unprofessional from the get go. Even working with management was not much smoother.
Eventually, the permits were pulled and the work was done, but AFTER the installation, JE said we had issues in the 3 units that needed to be addressed. This was never brought up before the work was done. Then the prices were spiked due to this new estimate. This was not agreed to, but because we could not see a path to a mutual agreement, we decided to pay them and dump them.
We did hear that they were not a preferred vendor through the groups we had to work with for permits and inspections, and we found their BBB rating is an F.
We have dropped JE for future work and have engaged another vendor to continue this project. -
I know Jacob electric since 3 years, my and my wife been using their service including panel upgrades and renovations for our home in Bellevue, great customer service and excellent price

I hired Jacob Electric LLC to install an EV charger in my garage, and the experience was fantastic. Edwin handled the installation efficiently and ensured everything was set up correctly. He even walked me through using the charger. The pricing was fair, and Jea from customer service kept me informed throughout. Great service all around! 😍🥰🥰

Avoid this company at all costs!!!! Called to have this company hardwire my hottub. Over the phone I was quoted 600 dollars, so I said let’s do it. The next day a guy showed up and did the work. 3 days later I was sent an invoice for $794.62. I spent three days trying to get ahold of them to ask why the amount was $794.62. Then I got an invoice for $898.00 which they said was late charge, then 3 days after that $1000.00 invoice. I offered to pay the original invoice to be nice and just get it over with. They have now sent fake lien paperwork to me and have been threatening to sure me. Mind you this has all been in a two week time frame , after I attempted to pay the 794.62 multiple times just to be nice. This company should be shut down immediately.

The utility company had a power issue that blew my breaker box. Jacob Electric came out, diagnosed the problem, and updated my box very quickly and got us back on track. They also helped provide documentation to take to the utility company to file a claim. They clearly know what they are doing, and did great work.

I hired Jacob Electric for a rewire of my entire home. I was quoted $38,000 and was told the price would not go up. I spoke directly with the owner, Luca about this at the outset. We put in writing that the only way the price could go up is if they sent me a change order that I signed and I would only be charged time and material at a specified rate. Luca then tried to jack the price up on my by over $5,000 for every little thing he did and didn’t expect. He never gave me a change order or told me the extra price until the end. I spoke with Luca over the phone multiple times and texted and emailed him and his staff to take care of this and kept getting the run around. I keep getting automatic emails with the invoice demanding payment but they don’t respond to my emails. This is very deceptive, unfair and wrong.
