The Queen of green! Pleasure to do business with!!!

I was super happy when I called Briar Group and they were going to be able to get us in within a few days to hydroseed our yard because they were already going to be in our area. Carol called the day of saying there was an issue with the truck and they wouldn't be able to make it out that day. She said she would call when she knew when, hopefully within a day or two. Four days later they show up at my home, luckily I was home, because they hadn't called to say they were coming. I am teaching from home and on Zoom classes all day with my young students. I had to step away from them to deal with the crew. I told them I wasn't aware they were coming today and they said, on a snotty way, well call Carol and talk to her about it. I then showed them where to seed and went back to my class zoom. They finished up and left without coming back to the door. Fast forward to a little while later and my phone rings. I don't answer my phone while I am teaching my young students. A few minutes later it rings again, and again, and yet again. I then received an email from Carol with an invoice. I thought ok cool I'll take care of it after work or tomorrow. Then not long after, she sent another email with the invoice again. I emailed her back while still ok zoom, kids were doing independent work, and let her know I would call her when I was off work. She continued to email me saying I should have shared with her crew that I was working. Um, why is it their business what I'm doing? I asked her why I should've shared that with them and she said because payment was due upon completion. The crew never asked for payment so I figured I would go online and submit the payment after work. She then sent another email saying I am violating the terms of the sale and she was not happy. I responded professionally and explained what happened and that she should've communicated with me when they were coming, etc...and I told her I would put a check in the mail tomorrow. Forward to 5 minutes later and she replied with if you can email you can call. How dare she tell me what I can and can't do. I will not answer or make phone calls during zoom classes or meetings; it's unprofessional. She tried telling me that I told her crew I would call her; I never said that.

I changed this from a 1star to a 3 stars. They crew was on time, quiet, but friendly enough. They missed a couple of spots. The pressure was probably just a little to high on the blower. Carol still gets 1 star. Carol was very rude and inconsiderate when I called about some bare spots in the yard after hydroseed. I'm not sure if she thinks that her clients don't have anything to do or what. She wanted me to calibrate my sprinkler system by putting out empty tuna cans on the yard. The system has already been tested when it was installed by people who know what they are doing. When I explained that we don't have time for this task and asked for the seed type that was used originally, she was very rude and gave me a vague description and said 'Good luck with that' before hanging up on me. Apparently their guarantee comes with strings, 'do as we say or good luck on your own'. This is crazy. Would not use this service again. Customer support needs improvement.

Carol has been great to work with, we had her come out in June, easy to schedule with, stands behind her guarantee, always answers the phone or calls you right back. We are new to grass care and she's answered ALL of our many questions. She is very knowledgeable. We are glad we went with her. I'm not sure the other contractors we looked at would have continued to provide this level of customer service after the work was done. The grass has come in nicely & we are very happy with it out here in Maple Valley! The first picture was from June 3rd when it was sprayed, the second is what it looked like 3 weeks later!

Amazing company to work with! They took the time to look at the job, and stay within the budget set. The crew they sent to our job, Leo and his crew, were nothing short of exceptional. You wont go wrong with this company for your landscaping.

I want to give credit to the owner. He came to my house to personally review the work that was done - or not done. He and I discussed what was done and what needed to be done to make the work acceptable. I believe the owner truly wanted to make amends and stand by his guarantee, which I greatly appreciated. I contracted with this landscape service to thatch, aerate, fill in areas with top soil that had eroded, and then over seed the entire yard. I was not home when they came. They had thatched the yard, but was if they didn't know how to use the equipment, and areas of lawn were torn up. It appeared that they aerated only a part of the lawn - about 1/3. There was no soil put down in the areas that needed it and they did not fill the area that had eroded as agreed. Seed was put down, but heavy in some areas and hardly any in others. No compost was put over the seeds. I called 4 times. Either my calls went to voicemail , or the person on the phone took my message and the calls went unanswered. When I finally did get someone to listen to my concerns, I was assured that a new, experienced crew would be out the next day. They didn't show! And of course, I was not notified that they would not be coming. So I spent the entire day waiting for a crew that never showed. Disappointed and angry with the lack of courtesy and unprofessionalism.
