I’m very impressed with the service provided by This company. We had mold buildup inside our dryer vent and air ducts that needed urgent attention. Their team arrived on time and began mold cleaning with professional tools. In the middle of the job, Robert explained how their mold removal would eliminate the problem and how their mold remediation services would prevent future growth. The process was smooth and efficient. Once finished, the air in our home felt fresh again and the odor was gone. The technicians were courteous and professional throughout the entire visit. This company exceeded my expectations and delivered outstanding results.

Surge Electrical came out today to inspect my electrical and give me a quote. Daniel and Jacob did a great job listening to my concerns, inspecting my house for safety issues, explaining what they found, pricing out each issue and helping me prioritize which issues to fix first. Surge Electrical sent an electrician to evaluate the issues in my house wiring and electrical box the morning after my phone call. They were able to explain and propose options to correct the issues. The electrician was knowledgeable and professional in explaining benefits to each option. I was able to make an informed choice on the path to take. They will be doing the work on a new electrical panel on my 40 plus year old house.

Dan and Jacob came out a day ahead of the panel replacement to do some pre-work. The next day they made sure everything was working right, and made sure the breakers were all labelled correctly. They showed me the new procedures for using my generator in case of an outage. We checked to make sure the generator ran correctly. They were very thorough and left everything cleaned up after they were done. All in all, they were very nice guys to work with. I do feel better that my panel is now up to current code.

I recently scheduled same-day service with Surge Electrical to replace one electric baseboard heater and troubleshoot another that was having issues. From the moment I made the call to the completion of the work, Daniel, the technician, was nothing short of professional. He clearly explained everything upfront and set realistic expectations, which I appreciated.

During the service, I hovered a bit out of curiosity, and Daniel was kind enough to explain exactly what he was doing and why. He was both efficient and thorough, which made me feel confident in the quality of his work.

After troubleshooting, Daniel completed the necessary repair. He also conducted a full inspection of my electrical system and provided a detailed written report with a list of priorities I can address over time, as my schedule and budget allow. I am an out of Country Landlord, and hired Surge for a decent sized electrical job at one of my properties in Mechanicville NY. He was responsive and timely to every message and call, he was very trustworthy throughout the whole process which is so rare to find these days! He was also very fair with his pricing! I will continue to use Surge in the future and I recommend his services to anyone looking for an electrician they can trust!

I don’t understand why they have so many high ratings. My experience was disappointing. Their quote was nearly four times the reasonable market value, so I had to walk away even after paying the $99 visit fee. They also did not provide a thorough professional electrical evaluation as advertised on their visit. I later hired another contractor who completed the project for about a quarter of their price and without charging a visit fee.

We required their services for a flickering light and some upgrades we have been planning for our house. The flickering light was diagnosed and repaired very quickly, and they were very receptive to answering any questions I had regarding the upgrades and tailoring a plan to fit our scenario. Very easy decision on our part to make these guys our go-to electricians.

Update after having cat6 cables and a new panel put in - the job was done in a very reasonable time frame and the work was top quality. The electricians were happy to answer any questions I had both about the project done on my house but also electricity and circuitry in general. Very happy with the results.

2025/12 update: Vlad arrived to perform an inspection and fixed three of our unreliable outlets. We also had an outdoor switch and light I was convinced we'd need to do a bigger job to have fixed, but Vlad spent some extra time to diagnose the issue and fixed it the same day.

I'm extremely disappointed with this company. They didn't clearly explain the different levels of troubleshooting and associated costs . I was expecting transparency and good communication. I would have made a different decision if I'd known about these costs upfront. We paid $635 just for the visit! Needless to say, if you value and is looking for transparency look elsewhere.
