Did nice work but left a sloppy mess of mortar on the roof while fixing the caps, and it is stuck to the shingles. Also left several black foot and hand prints on the carpet and walls. I would suggest buying enough shop vac hose to be able to keep the unit outside. Even with the HEPA filter, we had black dust on the furniture. I would still recommend his services.

Mike came out and cleaned my chimney and fire place today he's very professional ,courteous and personable.
He explained everything he was doing for me he provided pictures and videos as he was doing it , Before & After are great Wish I knew how to post them the difference is night and day.

I highly recommend The Chimney Guy. We bought our home a few years ago and decided this year we will actually use our fireplace. The Chimney Guy came out and did an incredible job! Our chimney was packed FULL of years and years of debris. By the time he finished cleaning it out, it was spotless and ready for us to use. He even went the extra mile and fixed our chimney cap so no birds, or even squirrels, could get in and make nests anymore. We couldn't be happier! Thank you Chimney Guy!!

We used the Chimney Guy years ago to replace a chimney hood or cover that had blown off. He replaced it with a different kind of cover or cap than what was originally there and now we cannot use our fireplace at all because when we light fires, it just smokes incessantly and the smoke backs up into the house.
If he is good at what he does, you would think that he would know that we have a masonry fireplace which requires a cap with a damper, not just any old chimney cap.

Also, your rudeness is why we never would want to work with you again. Very unprofessional

I highly recommend Michael! He took the time to thoroughly and efficiently investigate why I was getting smoke in my house. Not only did he figure out the problems but took the time to walk me through everything. His prices are very fair and he is honest. If you are having any issues go to the Chimney Guy!

This guy is a con artist. He severely damaged our property, said he was done with the job, demanded full payment and then threatened to sue us. I’ve attached photos of the damages.

Mike came out he was the only one that would work on our England pellet stove. We called him cause our stove wouldn't burn. He look at it and show me that it needed to be cleaned. I'm on oxygen he was very concerned about my breathing. He brought in his hepa filter shop vac plus another shop vac. Everything he did he ask if it bothered my breathing. Our pellet stove runs better now then it did when we first put it in. The price he charged us was so reasonable that we couldn't even believe it. He will be back to to clean our stove again. We highly recommend Mike he's the best!

After years of having various companies clean the chimney to my wood-stove, The Chimney Guy is the first to actually access the condition and safety of the stove itself. Thank you Michael, for refurbishing my Blaze King and making it possible for my home to safely remain warm and cozy during these winter months. I called him to do an outdoor chimney cleaning and inspection in preparation for the sale of our home. What a great guy who does EXCELLENT work!! Our chimney and fireplace were filthy and he somehow managed to get it looking like new. Even my husband was asking what he did to get it so clean. He takes great pride in his work and was a pleasure to work with. I'll be leaving his contact info for the next owners of our home. I still can't believe he got our fireplace so clean!

Michael is my saving grace, an angel sent to save the day. I called with a serious problem while selling our home. I believed we had three days to respond, find out later we had 24 hours. You know what that was okay, because this amazing man arranged his schedule to get us taken care of. The service, meticulousness, and professionalism of the technicians were phenomenal! They were polite, efficient, and went above and beyond what I had hoped for. They were very reasonably priced, extremely thorough and efficient, and even made some small extra repairs at no charge. In an age when most service companies take advantage of their customers as a matter of course, it is so refreshing to find an honest and hardworking company with integrity. It was a hot day and a tough job. We had the chimney cleaned the previous year using a different service with unsatisfactory results. This year we used "The Chimney Guy". Mike was thorough. He took care of the chimney and the fire place insert. He repaired the crown on the chimney. He was upfront with information and did a great job.

I've had several experiences with the Chimney Guy. He's an...interesting guy, a bit scattered, but does good work IF HE SHOWS UP. Multiple missed appointments and apologies. Most recently I set up an appointment for 12/17 back at the end of October. 12/17 came and went and no Chimney Guy. He did not respond to email or multiple phone calls. Customer service so bad that here I am leaving a review that I don't necessarily want to leave but I feel I should to inform people what they can expect. I wish he had honored my appointment or at least had the decency to tell me he wasn't going to make it. Chimney Guy - this is not a good way to treat customers!

So we called the Chimney Guy to come out and give us a quote for repair because Fire & Water in kennewick had been out two years prior to clean our chimney and told us at the time we needed to replace our entire chimney pipe because it had split and the tech could visibly see burn marks on the material supporting the chimney. So we prepared for the worst and saved some money to get it replaced. Little did we know that we’d be so lucky in the end. When the Chimney Guy arrived (same day we called he showed up which was incredible) he did a thorough inspection and reported his findings. Not only was our chimney in perfect working condition, he said that it was one of the better ones he’d seen for the age and use. We were ecstatic! Unfortunately neither he or I could understand why we were told what we were told
Originally but we were so happy to not have the expense of replacing it.

I really appreciated the honesty we received from the chimney guy. He could have easily replaced our good chimney with something else and we’d have never been the wiser that we didn’t ever need to. His professionalism, his character - all spoke volumes and we absolutely know who we will be using from now on because of it.

He said he'd stop by to check out my set up. Said he may or not make it. Never showed for this optional meet and greet nor did he follow up. Figured he was just busy. Scheduled an appointment more than a month out. When my appointment time came he didn't show again. Text me a few hours later to come by, but cancelled altogether when I couldn't say if someone was home. Tried to explain if we weren't home, my husband was close by and I just needed a moment to get hold of him.Offered me another appointment that was another month out but I declined. He wanted to charge $700 for my 2 chimneys, but glad he cancelled cuz we did it ourselves for $75, but he did waste about 6 hours of my time waiting for him.

Also want to point on every bad review he says they aren't a customer, but he never took down my name just my address. Even
a customer review by a " Kelly Seely" who changed her review from bad to good is mentioned to never have been a customer. Maybe you should update your responses when they update your review. You look like a fool.the lengths he goes to in review rebuttals would be better spent making his appointments. He was nice to me, but I'm irked about the no shows.

Mike, the Chimney Guy, did a excellent job fixing all the issues with our wood stove. He kept us up to date on delivery times, was courteous and great fun to get to know

Micheal, is absolutely amazing. He truly cares about his customers and the service they need. We called him on an urgent matter on a weekend 15 mins prior to him closing and he came that evening and repaired our fireplace. I can honestly see why his reputation precedes him. He is the best “ chimney guy” in all of Tri Cities. To end, Micheal is well experienced, honest and has a great personality. I am a Broker here in the Tri-Cities and I utilized The Chimney Guy for the first time October 2019 and was so thrilled with his workmanship, promptness and professionalism! My sellers had to have their Chimney repair done asap, it was detrimental to their closing and The Chimney guy not only got it done for us, but in order to make our deadline started way before his normal business hours and was able to fit us in even through he was completely booked well into December! Really just a great experience, I will continue to use this company and highly recommend that you give them a call for any of your Chimney cleaning or repair needs!

I highly recommend The Chimney Guy! I wanted to just obtain an estimate for what was wrong with my insert so I could put my house up for sale and he agreed to take a look on his way home. Michael was honest and concerned about leaving the insert in place as it was a safety issue; he also saw issues with my chimney. He stayed for a few hours and took care of the chimney and removed the insert for a very reasonable price. He is professional and so very kind! I will call on him again with my new house for sure!

Mike came out to clean my chimney in September. He arrived late as his first appointment ran over, however once he arrived he did a very thorough inspection of my chimney and found several issues. I signed off on the work and he spent the rest of the day doing the repairs and even went above and beyond by fixing items that he did not quote me to make up for showing up late. I was extremely impressed with his work ethic and will definitely hire him again
