Home Services reviews in Kirkland, Washington

Updated Sept 2025:
I'm writing an updated review for Rain City Maids. Our latest provider, Kyla, has been amazing. She's friendly and does a very thorough job of cleaning our townhouse.
My husband and I have been home more lately when she is here cleaning and Kyla does a great job of cleaning rooms in an order that flows in a way to ensure minimal impact and disruption to our work and home life.
I also want to say again how much I appreciate the office staff. They are super responsive to my e-mails with special requests or needing to reschedule cleanings. Highly recommend this local business!
We have been loyal customers of Rain City Maids for nearly a decade. I love that they are locally owned right here in Kirkland. The scheduling and billing is all automated and you can manage bookings online or just e-mail or call the office. They are very helpful and responsive.
Lately Colleen has been our regular provider. She is fantastic. Very detail oriented. Every time I mention something to her (where the spare sheets are, the location of the compost bin) she adds them as notes to our file. She's also great with our dog. He loves it when she comes to visit (clean)! And she asks me how the cleaning is to make sure I'm happy with the service which I appreciate. -
I've had regular cleanings with Rain City Maids for about a year now, and I've been happy with the results. The state of my apartment when i come home from work after a cleaning always brings a smile to my face. I appreciate that ever after noticing that the house felt particularly nice one day, I was able to make arrangements with them to try to facilitate scheduling Kai whenever her schedule permits.

Edit: RainCityMaids did reach out to me after my feedback and offered to send out another team to address any areas that had been missed. By this point I had already completed the cleaning myself so they provided me with a partial refund covering the areas that had not been addressed during their cleaning. I do appreciate the prompt customer care and proactively working to address and deficiencies I felt on my end.

Customer service was good and prompt and the cleaners were able to do the work without me being on site which was awesome. I'm not entirely certain what was reasonable to expect with the cleaning. It seems like they did most of everything that you would expect well including sinks and mirrors and windows and things. However there were a couple of things that I wish had been done that weren't and I'm just not sure if it was out of the normal expectations, pictures included. Examples include dusting or wiping down baseboard heaters, doesn't look like they were touched and there was still lots of dust on top as you can see in the photo wiping my finger along and came up with a lot of dust this dust tends to burn when the heaters are turned on and smells bad. The steps in the entryway, the rise wasn't cleaned, but it was cleaned (and cleaned well) on the other steps in the house I'm just not sure why these ones were left out. Along the stairs, the wood trim board has lots of white spots which is just drywall mud speckles which can be wiped up super easy with a water dampened rag but it wasn't hit at all. The backsplash on the counters still has quite a bit of dust on the top part which is about 5 inches off from the countertop itself doesn't look like it was ever wiped down or dusted or vacuumed. In several spots in the house there were still visible piles of dust / drywall dust on top of trim that's super easy to vacuum or wipe off, but it was still there obviously hadn't been touched at all. Around lights in the ceiling they're still visible dust as seen in one of the photos. I'm not sure if the move and move out job included drawers and cabinets. The kitchen cabinets were done well, but it seems like maybe they didn't do the drawers at all there's a photo of trash still left in one of the drawers other drawers still had sizable dust and debris. I had spoken with them before the cleaners arrived and they said they don't do walls which is understandable due to risk of harming paint; however it would have been great if they could have at least dusted. There were still cobwebs in most upper corners in the rooms. Finally countertops were superficially wiped off but they're still pretty rough and again I'm not sure if this is normally included but like with a magic eraser or brillo pad it takes half a second to get off the dust that was stuck on to it but it wasn't done by the cleaners. Overall not 100% certain what I was to expect with this, but it seemed a little bit steep for $1,000 for some of these things not to have been completed. -
The Rain City Maids team was punctual, caring, and lovely to work with. Our apartment needed a deep cleaning before our next adventure and we were running out of time and energy to do it ourselves. Rain City Maids came to the rescue as we booked somewhat last minute and did an excellent job. They were incredibly thorough and thoughtful as they worked. The oven and fridge cleaning extras were absolutely worth it for the peace of mind.
I would recommend Rain City Maids to anyone in the area that needs compassionate cleaning for their space. -
I recently had the pleasure of working with Rain City Maids, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the service they provided for me and my clients. I’ve worked with other companies in the past, but I was very happy with the exceptional work that Kyla, Laurie, and Alivia did on my clients’ home. They arrived right on time, got to work quickly, and left the house looking spotless and smelling fresh. Their professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail truly stood out, and I’m so grateful for their hard work. Thank you, ladies, for helping me present my clients’ home at its absolute best!

Update:
Joleen and management took care of everything. They seem to be truly committed to providing customer satisfaction. They also said they will ensure more training for the cleaners regarding cleaning standards as well as professionalism. I believe they will use this as a learning experience for everyone. Thank you Rain City Maids for sorting everything out.
I booked a deep clean for my 1 bedroom apartment and was extremely disappointed in the service provided. The carpets were left dirty and the baseboards were not cleaned. I felt rushed to let them leave as they had packed up and started leaving before asking me to do a walk through. I was offered a supervisor to come back out and clean, but as i was present during the initial clean and heard disturbing, unprofessional comments, i wasn’t sure if i felt comfortable having them back in my house. They were talking bad about other clients they serve and their homes. I received a $90 refund off of $509 for cleaning a 485 sqft apartment. I think you can get a better job done, with more professionalism elsewhere, at least for deep cleaning services. -
I appreciate Tatiana's quick assistance with Rain City Maids of Kirkland. I called and needed move-out services last minute, and she was able to seamlessly arrange that. Her care and the professionalism of the whole process made me know that I'd reach out to Rain City next time I needed cleaning services.

We have had Rain City Maids clean our home for over 2 years now. It's always AMAZING. That being said-today Ali cleaned our home and she took it to the next level. Her attention to detail was definitely noticed and appreciated. We are so grateful for her and the entire team.

We had a not great experience with Rain City when booking a move-out cleaning; I filled out the form to request a quote, got the quote via email, followed the link in the email which took me to a form that was pre-populated with my info and what appeared to be my cleaning selections. All good, right? Sadly, no.
After the cleaning, we realized that most of the "move out" cleaning things hadn't actually been done. I was annoyed, but since we needed to be out of the space within two days I didn't raise an issue. We just finished things ourselves, which was stressful but I didn't really feel like adding the additional stress of arguing with the cleaning company on top of everything else.
When they reached out to me a few days later to ask if I would like to set up a recurring service, I was honest with them about the issues we'd had and their response was that I had booked a standard cleaning and not a move out cleaning, so I thought I had made a mistake and went back to double check the quote link they sent along. Since it was a quote directly from the company that was sent after I requested a quote with all of my information already inputted, I assumed it was correct the first time around but hey, I make mistakes, maybe this was my bad. But there was absolutely no options to specify a "move out" cleaning on the form they sent over. I pointed this out to the person who contacted me, along with the fact that we hadn't even received the services listed under the "standard" cleansing option, and said that while I didn't want a refund and that we had already handled the rest of the cleaning, I was absolutely not interested in setting up a recurring service with a company who didn't get it even remotely right the first time around. They said no problem, we appreciate your business. Great, all good, right?
Wrong. I have repeatedly gotten texts and calls from this company over the last 3-4 months asking me if I would like to set up recurring cleanings. I have repeatedly said no and reiterated my original experience. I have said "please take me off your list" several times over phone calls, email and text. Not really sure what else to do at this point.
If you have a specific cleaning need, I would skip this company. If you just need a standard housecleaning, they're probably fine? Maybe? They didn't sweep/mop our floors which *was* part of the standard clean so be prepared to deal with that task, and any others they don't deem necessary, regardless of what you book.
And for the love of God, please update whatever automated software you use to take people off of your sales lists, or train your employees better. This is absolutely no hate to the employees I've dealt with, they've all been very sweet. They are clearly not being given the tools they need to succeed. -
Gwen E. did a wonderful job cleaning our home! She included little touches that made a big difference and I appreciated her level of care with our cleaning. She was also very kind and friendly to my pets which I really appreciated!

The team was amazing and professional. This was a big job, move-out deep cleaning on a 2k sq ft home that had 3 dogs. It was so clean! I highly recommend their services.

We had our first home cleaning with Rain City Maids and it was a great experience. Rui and Zach were meticulous and friendly. We would be happy to work with them again.

Rain City Maids did a great job. This was a regular cleaning for a house under 1,000 sq ft focused on bathrooms and the kitchen, two hours for $224. They joked that my house was the perfect level of dirty, which was oddly a compliment and very accurate. They spent about an hour on each bathroom and it was absolutely worth it. The bathrooms clearly needed the extra attention and they looked fantastic when he was done. They also called to ask if we wanted to extend the time so they could get to the kitchen, which I really appreciated but instead we just asked them to come back again in two weeks and maybe they can get bathrooms and kitchen done then lol. We were very pleased with the work and with the cleaner!

Maddy is my go-to gal, and once again she absolutely delivered! 🙌✨ Today she brought along Meghan, who is new and in training, and together they did an incredible job.
Maddy’s experience really shines—she’s thorough, efficient, and clearly a fantastic trainer. Meghan jumped right in, paid attention to the details, and worked seamlessly alongside her. You’d never guess she was new!
My house is spotless, fresh, and feels amazing. Not only is the work consistently exceptional, but having such friendly, professional people in my home is always a treat. Huge appreciation to both ladies for a job well done! 💛🧼✨Bravo! -
Tymeka and Lauren did a lovely job in our two bedroom apartment. Hired for a DEEP CLEAN and regular services and I’m impressed. Very professional and truly did such a good job getting those hard to reach spots. I feel they also did a great job at respecting our home (ie not moving things around too much and things like that).

This is my second time getting a deep clean done at my house and each time has been wonderful. Holly, Tymeka, and Zach did such an amazing job. The master shower was a particularly difficult task due to all the soap buildup on the glass door and Holly did a fantastic job getting it clean. I highly recommend getting a deep clean done once in a while cause the results are worth it.

Goog job 👍🏻

Won’t respond to multiple texts to come fix issues covered under HOA warranty.

We were very happy with how our patio and turf turned out. Dio's guys worked long days to finish the project and the cost was competitive as well.
-
Dio and his team installed artifical turf and a rock pathway. Everything came out looking great, and they significantly improved the yard drainage. It was all done much earlier than originally agreed too. They had ideas for making it look even better that I hadn't originally thought to ask for, and it worked perfectly.

Dionico and his crew did a great job at my place (Sammamish, WA). I had hired them to do a wooden deck and install artificial turf in my backyard. I was impressed with the quality of work that they did. Dionico had a fantastic crew, all of them were very professional and were very competent in their areas. I definitely recommend Seattle Pro Turf if you want to install artificial turf or decks.
