Don't waste your money, don't waste your time. This guy is very positive to give you a quote and signed the agreement with 50% down payment then he will never answer your phone or never showed up for scheduling. Luckily he will show up whenever he wants and give you a big surprise!!! He changed 3yard river rocks and only delivered one yard, he promised will deliver the rest next week but never happened. Now he is totally disappeared....

After two years, we found out that Dio’s team failed to cap the sprinkler under the turf, and as a result, the foundation is damaged. I called Dio multiple times, and he failed to respond. I would not recommend his company.

Dio and the team did fantastic work with our backyard project. They completed the job on time and with good quality. Dio has a tremendous work ethic and goes above and beyond for his customers. I highly recommend him and his team!

I wish I could agree with most of the positive reviews here but unfortunately we had a terrible experience working with Dio and his team. I’m not sure why his work ethics seemed to decline so much compare to the positive reviews. We first started our project to build a retaining wall in our front yard and to install turf and arborvitae trees around the house in summer 2021. It was a fairly small and straightforward project and the estimated time to finish was a couple weeks. Everything started smoothly and was going according to plan for a week or so and his team finished about 50% of the work. Then suddenly they just stopped showing up. We would call Dio and he always promised to be here the next day but rarely made any appearance. This went on for MONTHS till it was a year after we signed the contract with him and the work was still not finished and he started to just ignore our calls. We eventually had to notify him that we would file a bond claim against him if he didn’t finish the project to finally hear back from him. Till this day, 1 year and 6 month after we signed the contract, he still hasn’t completely finish the project and left one of sprinklers broken. We decided that we didn’t have the energy or time to pursue it further.

Based on our experience, do not take Dio for his words. If you still decide to work with him, make sure you document everything in writing. Working with him has caused us so much frustration and disappointment. It was a waste of time and we do not recommend him.

We just moved into a nice new house with a nice new yard, and our two dogs reduced the lawn to a mud bog after two days, then moved on to the next job of tracking all the mud into the house. Dio came out, gave us a good quote to replace the lawn and his team did the job quickly and beautifully. Now we have a nice yard again with no mud, and the dogs have moved on to the next job of chewing all the perimeter plants. I highly recommend turf for a lawn replacement, and definitely have Dio do it for you!

Dio and his team did a wonderful job in putting my artificial turf in. I originally put in a quotation request on Yelp and his bid was one of the best prices compared to others. The sample we got from his was excellent quality in comparison to other contractors, it was much more plush and real looking. They are very busy though so if you plan on installation, be prepared they will quote you 2-3 months out (they do large jobs such landscaping for new development areas as well. Dio also responds best by phone, he picks up my calls right away and is slower to respond to text messages. I’m guessing it’s because he’s working all the time and don’t look at his phone much. My lawn was done in 2 days from removing the old lawn, leveling and compacting the ground to installing the new turf.

If I could give Dio and team 6 stars, I would. They were so great to work with and worked hard to completely transform our backyard, beyond what I thought was possible.

We had a big project, and even unforeseen surprises along the way (like buried tree trunks) and Dio was just so incredibly helpful and understanding. He listened to our every need and completely exceed expectations. He was so patient when I wanted to change/add/modify things and just overall raised the bar on quality. Every brick they laid was meticulously measured and leveled too.

I could not recommend this group enough. See before and after pictures below!

Dishonest, liar and a scam. Dionicio and this business are a Scam! Ran away with our money. DO NOT EMPLOY!

Let me start by saying this business and its owner Dio is a SCAMMER. Do not fall for his references like we did. Do not give him any advance upfront. His license is expired as of Sept 2025.
We contracted Dio on June 18th 2025 for two bath renovation project at our home after a sincere referral. His appetite to extract money out of us became evident from the get-go. Once he gets the advance and does an incomplete demolition, he asks for 2nd installation. Reaching him on call or text was a pain thereafter. I ended up being the project manager/coordinator working with the labor, plumber, electrician, tiler etc.
He lies through his teeth. he lies about pricing and will take extra money from you. For e.g., he asked $350 for a window worth $119 and when confronted would just laugh. Incompetent and insincere - forgets about original project plans and makes mistakes then asks for more money to repair those mistakes. Orders incorrect tiles, incorrect cabinets.
(After 2.5 months of excuses, lies and fake tears Dio absconded with money without paying labor, electrician, tiler etc. I felt terrible for them as they were equally scammed. They quickly packed their tools and took off when they realized they were not going to see any money.

THE AFTERMATH:
1. Lost money to Dio + lost money with suppliers: All the places where we had paid for material such as Cabinets, Tiles that exclusively work with contractors refused to release the material that WE PAID FOR with our credit card because Dio wasn't there for pick up. We lost thousands of dollars there.
2. Still incomplete project: We are still living this nightmare as any new person who we called for quote to finish the remaining work is also taking advantage of our situation and quoting ridiculous amount of money. We will need to take out loan to pay such amounts.
3. There is so much waste he left behind that we now need to pay to get rid of. Even more loss.
4. Not worth the stress: The constant stress working with Dio since day 1 is not worth saving a couple of thousand dollars. I ended up spending money at the doctors due to all the health woes that come with stress. The state laws do not support consumers and thus allows for such scammers to continue their nasty work.

This experience has left our house in a mess and with both our baths incomplete we are at our wits end. We are rebuilding from this slowly and hindsight is 20-20. As we connect all the dots, Dionicio was always planning to take off with money. Each week we hear more homes around us that he took advance from and ran off.
I'm sharing my experience in full honesty here so that it benefits others. Not only will you lose money, but you will also lose your peace of mind and health working with this scammer.

Dio and his team did a beautiful job on our front yard. They did not cut corners on the project, were extremely detailed and worked unbelievably quickly to complete most of a large project in only two days. In fact, we've had multiple people already mistake our turf for real grass which says something! His quote was reasonable and he is a lovely, kind man. The only challenge we experienced was that Dio had committed to finishing the last step of our project (installing a drip line) the next week, following his request to be paid in full for his work. This was admitedly our mistake paying prior to completion, as it took him five weeks to follow through and only after my calling him from a different number, texting and leaving multiple voicemails. Despite difficulty with timely communication and follow through, we are very happy with the result and quality of Dio's work and would absolutely recommend him to others.

Save yourself! Dio is a disaster. And our job ended up costing way more then his original bid and took 2.5 months to “finish”
I can’t even tell you the level of frustration I had working with him. Maybe did good in the past but he’s broke and won’t show up for you. Do not even risk it. Also now we spent so much money on a project we just have to fix ourselves. He refused to make it right with us. Happy to send pictures if you need proof. Do not recommend.
Unless you like taking all their garbage to the dump yourself (7 truckloads over the course of the project) and replacing all the plants they destroyed!🤷🏼‍♀️
And I can’t make this up… they put a latch on my gate the wrong way and you couldn’t open the door to get to the garbage cans for a week😂
Had to fix it ourselves! So bad😝🤦‍♀️
And that is spray paint from hinges he spray painted on my brand new walkway😳

I just called this business twice, guy asked "Who you are?" and hung up. ??

I am very happy with all my pavers patios and driveway and turf backyard retaining walls I hired the Sky landscape company they did a very nice job and very professional finishes from the beginning to the end of the project, good prices and quality of work. Thanks

Kudos to Environmental Construction for great yard care. They added mulch and rebuilt a red-stone pathway this week and our yard looks amazing!

We have had nothing but head ache from this company and the worst person we met from this company Lori/Laurie came off as patronizing, lacking customer service, intelligence and all things bad with this country ignorance. We went somewhere else for our needs.

The team is amazing! Our garden looks amazing. Highly recommend this company. Trustworthy, professional and get the job done as promised.

We are so impressed with the elegant, yet functional, landscaping around our home. They worked with the natural layout of our property to ensure erosion control and created a dry creek bed and waterfall that divert the water during heavy rains. They used a variety of plants that are absolutely beautiful at every season of the year. It has been nine years now since they landscaped our property. It is still just as beautiful today.

They seemed great to start with but then they started adding junk fees like payment processing fees and leaf blower rental. After a while I realized they had been consistently overcharging me by about 30-50% every visit. They were not happy when I caught them red handed and confronted them about it. Spend your money elsewhere.

Environmental Construction is great to work with. They have great attention to detail and they highly value the quality and customer service that they provide! As a landscape architect I have the opportunity to work with many contractors and see first hand how much a company's values are reflected in their work.

Environmental construction is a great company! They are a pleasure to work with at all levels. They are responsive and have done a great job educating us about our yard and working with us to create the landscaping of our dreams.

Tom Barrett and his team have done work for us numerous times over the past 25 years at two different homes, from a major re-landscape of the whole property to just pruning a few trees and rhodies. They have also built several arbors and a deck for us, and installed a two fairly large water features. Their people have always been solid experts in their field, whether it be pruning, landscaping, or construction. They show up, they clean up after themselves, are always respectful, and have a real love for the trees, the plants, and our home environment, helping us realize the vision we have for the property.

I found that working with Environmental Construction was an absolute joy! They were professional, personable and thorough in the seasonal garden cleanup, mulching, and plant replacement and enhancement. My yard looks beautiful thanks to them.

The skilled gardeners at Environmental Construction Inc. care about plants. When they pruned shrubs and hedges for me in January-February, they carefully selected branches to remove or trim, always striving for a natural look. "Good pruning is essentially invisible," to quote a garden book. Previous landscapers used hedge trimmers to give everything a buzz cut. The lead designer made suggestions on creating a privacy screen for us. Trees were planted and staked. We are very pleased with the look. The yard was raked clean of overgrown material and mulch was spread over all garden areas. Besides looking great, I know plants are going to be happy and grow well spring and summer. A great company to work with.
