The Blue Alder did a retaining wall for us that we are very happy with. They made it work with a somewhat narrow area and shrubs growing in the way. The guys worked very fast. We were actually surprised everything was completed so quickly. We also expected a lot of noise, which we warned the neighbors about, but the crew was very quiet. It has now been several months since the work was completed. The shrubs have survived just fine. The wall is functioning as it should even after a rare flooding event, followed by frost. Andy, the owner, deserves a special mention. He clearly cares about his customers and is a pleasure to work with. We will definitely be using the guys in the future.

Andy and his team did a fantastic job. They truly transformed our front and backyard. Our property is very wet, and we needed a lot of drainage work done to redirect the water away from our house. Andy ordered several truck loads of gravel and rocks to build our retaining walls and install an intensive drainage system. We couldn't be any happier with his work.

This was the best experience I’ve ever had with any type of contractor. Andy was personal and professional. His communication was amazing. Most impressive, he scheduled a week for our project and his crew were here every day all day from start to finish. Never had to worry about them not showing as they commit to one job at a time! The foreman Justin and crew were very nice and worked extremely hard. I was very impressed with their expertise in my large landscaping job, especially the beautiful walkway they installed. Thanks for the great job!

Andy and his crew did a full remodel of our backyard and front yard.
It was a large project and we are very happy with the results.

Andy managed the project end to end and was able to finish it on time.

The project included:

Privacy trees
New grass
Landscape and hardscape
And more.

Follow-ups - we had couple of issues that Andy fixed:
Andy did come back to fix the front yard grass as the initial sod was bad ( too bad they put them at the first place but he did promise to fix it if it will not recover and he did that two weeks later) .
Andy also fixed a small issue later on, that happened to one of my neighbors.

Overall a very good experience and I would recommend him to others.

We highly recommend The Blue Alder! We hired them because we were getting water under our house, and they installed a French drain along with routing four of our downspouts underground and away from the house.

The entire team was incredibly friendly and professional throughout the project. Andy was especially great to work with from start to finish—he made communication easy every step of the way. We had a huge rain right after the work was completed, and we’re happy to report that we didn't get a single drop of water under the house. We would absolutely work with them again!

I am writing this review as the owner of PAVERART who had the privilege of working with Andy at the Blue Alder on a recent project. Andy called us looking for a unique addition to a patio build for one of his clients, a Compass Rose inlay that we specialize in. Andy is a top-tier professional and we've worked with hundreds of contractors across North America over our 22+ years in business. He had multiple conversations with us to ensure he understood timing, pricing, quality of the materials, and our procedures for how we would rectify if something went wrong on shipping. He requested a facetime walk-through of our shop as well, a small detail but shows his level of due diligence on behalf of his clients. When the Compass shipped he communicated real time that everything was safe and secure, and then he communicated along the way of his successful install. He went above and beyond and cut an additional band with lighting adjacent to the cardinal directionals, an addition we've only seen one or 2 times over thousands of designs sold. When contractors communicate clearly and "real time" while simultaneously going above and beyond to IMPROVE on the product, all in an effort to delight their clients, that is someone we will NEVER hesitate to recommend for future work. Such a pleasure working with The Blue Alder.

Eferen Valencia is very professional and pays attention to detail. I would highly recommend them for lawn prep or any landscaping job.

I had an issue with my sprinkler system and Lorenzo explained it all to me over the phone. He came by a day later to assess it and fixed everything that day. He really knows his stuff and I would highly recommend them! Exceptional customer service 👏

We had totally torn up front yard after maple tree got removed in February. Roots and rocks were horrible, sod needed replacing, AND sprinkler system was shot. We are seniors and usually DYI, but this was too much. Also, we have an HOA, so it needed to be fixed asap. My sister recommended Lorenzo because he had just rescued her by doing big project before her house sale could close, so we called him. We got VERY REASONABLE quotes to 1)repair/re-direct 6 zone sprinkler system, along with doing the certified backflow testing. 2) Clearing rocks/roots, old sod off yard and bringing in new, good quality topsoil, AND re-seeding or doing sod. We chose to re-seed. This was wonderful enough to just have a plan for summer, but they finished all of it TODAY! They did the sprinkler system last Saturday and the re-seed project this Saturday. Lorenzo is the best guy! He brought several of his crew to get the job done and they all work super hard. But he's such a great boss, with good leadership. He takes his crew to lunch or brings them lunch. My husband and I are so impressed with them. We're going to ask our HOA to put them on their contractor referral list. They have better prices than most, so why waste your time on high quotes? I'm posting an initial picture of the dirt today because it is so beautiful compared to the horrible tree roots & rocks before. When the grass is in. I'll post that. These guys did this entire 2000 square foot overhaul of our yard in 6 hours ( including lunch break). I'll have grass this summer and sprinklers to water it, so HAPPY!

Amazing service! I had an issue with Backflow Testing. Lorenzo was the only person that took care of it asap, in 1 day. I'm honestly impressed about his level of service, he even refused payment until everything was documented and the issue was cleared.

I'm going to have him in my quick contact list for many maintenance needs.

Samuel and the entire crew were responsive and wonderful to work with. They were so quick to come out and give a quote, then I was amazing at how quickly they completed the work. We did an extensive yard clean up and in one day they got 4 loads of very old rubbish out of our property, and dug grass out between paver stones. The next day they laid mulch and top course gravel. What a transformation in two days! I’m so glad we used Ramos and are looking to set up frequent maintenance to keep our new beautiful yard kept up. Thank you!

My home had significant water damage due to a faulty upstairs washing machine. Finally done with remediation, I was more than a little apprehensive about the next step of putting my home back together again. That was until I met Luis. Luis and his crew were upfront about what to expect, kept me informed, made suggestions along the way, and stayed on time and on budget. I couldn't have asked for a better contractor. Should I need help on another project, Luis and Casillas Construction LLC will be my first call.

We were absolutely the most fortunate of folks to have Luis and Casillas Construction recommended to us. We had a water leak in July 2021 that required remediation and subsequent renovation. We had to wait a month to get on their calendar (because they ensure they take care of EVERY client - and I knew we wanted to be treated like that ourselves), but once it was our turn, that team was all ours. Luis is SUPER responsive - via telephone, email and text. He's SUPER flexible. Things are arriving, er... no, they're not arriving. Luis manages jobs that are like revolving three-ring circuses with a great attitude and a never-failing good humor. Our water damage meant that we had repairs required on multiple floors, and due to that damage, we wound up with a virtually new kitchen. Our project was slated for 6 weeks - it went 7, but just because certain ordered items were delayed (we all know what THAT's like right now, don't we?) I can personally speak to Luis's creativity and willingness to incorporate his clients' personalities into the work. Our kitchen is BEAUTIFUL, and uniquely ours, and the work that was done to create it is sheer craftsmanship. I've worked with many contractors who get the job done. Luis and Casillas Construction get the job done CORRECTLY and well. My dad would be impressed - and that's saying something. I couldn't recommend Luis and Casillas Construction more highly. Luis and his team dealt with shipping delays, roaming cats, in-and-out neighbors and Queen Anne parking. And still they were on-time and on-budget. We are looking forward to having them back for a couple of bathroom renovations. We figure we'll let them help some other folks for a couple of months, but then they're ALL OURS.

Our water heater flooded our master bathroom and our master bedroom as well as a small part in our garage. We found Luis Casillas Construction company on line after our insurance told us they could not recommend anyone because they had not contracts with anyone in our area. It was lucky for us that it happened that way. Luis came in and took a look at the areas and said he was unable to do the work until we had another water mitigation company come out and make sure things were done properly, because from he could tell it had not.

We called south sound water recovery to give a second opinion and found that the first company that the insurance had sent did not dry our home as it should had been done in the first place. That led to another two weeks of demolition and drying in our home.

Once that was completed Luis came back in and was super helpful. I trusted him because he was right about the first company and really had our interest at heart. He was always communicating with us and making sure that we knew every step of the way what was going on and the plan. If product we ordered came in and had any issues he was sure to share that information immediately.

He was extremely busy but was able to get us on his schedule and he worked night and day between us and other jobs he had on his schedule. He still always did a quality job on everything. We appreciate his quality work and his professional manners! In this day and culture were company's are going more toward that the customer is not right, Luis is still a respectful and caring to the value of money and the work that he performs. I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to have reconstruction projects done on their home for just a remodel or for emergency flooding as we did.

Luis was absolutely fantastic to work with. Much of my house was drenched with water when one of my pipes burst. Luis was knowledgeable about the insurance process, which was invaluable for saving me time and money. He was transparent and upfront with different options and costs. Work was completed on schedule. And, everything was done with super high quality. Throughout Luis was professional and helpful. I will definitely work with Luis again- and suggest you do too.
