Reviews of local pros in Maple Valley, Washington

Andy took great care to solve my drainage and excavation needs in a very cost effective way. The work was done over 7 months ago and has held up perfectly.

Had most of my backyard fence redone. Blue Alder was friendly, on time, and did a fantastic job. Would absolutely use their services again!

Andrew and his crew showed up on time, did great work and finished on time. I am super happy with the design and work he did, and my plants look so much healthier now with the compost he chose.

The owner, Andy Duckworth, does business the old fashioned way. He will offer you a honest and fair price, shake your hand, show up as promised and do the job agreed upon. Andy’s word is his bond. He cut a slope and graded it neat and level for us, about a quarter acre. There were large two-man stones about and he offered to use them to build a fire pit for us, and charged us NOTHING. I am certain to need Blue Alder again as I further develop this lot! Thank you so much Andy:-)

Andy and The Blue Alder did a small drainage job for me in my back yard. The response was prompt, as was the service. The job was done quickly and expertly just as I envisioned it. And for a very reasonable price! If you’re looking for quality work at a reasonable price, call The Blue Alder!!!

I can't express enough, how highly I reccomend this company for your yard care needs! I've been talking to a few different companies, for a couple months now to get my yard leveled, and I thought it was hopeless. Luckily, Andy came out to access my yard. He was extremely professional, friendly, and flexible with my schedule. I received my quote extremely fast, and had our yard done within the week. If you want a company who actually cares about you, look no further. 10 out of 10 would reccomend again.

I’ve worked with a lot of landscaping companies and Andy and the Blue Alder Team is the best best of the bunch. They are experts in landscaping and complete yard remodels. Really appreciate all their hard work they answer their phones, call back in a reasonable time, and deliver outstanding service.

Not enough room to say *everything* that comes to mind regarding Andy, owner of Blue Alder and his crew. First and foremost is that Andy conducts his business with *integrity* - a rare commodity these days. Also, Blue Alder operated with efficiency and flexibility as our project expanded and contracted with additional ideas and underlying conditions revealed themselves and needed to be uniquely addressed. Thanks Andy for "being there"!

Andy and his team were amazing! They listened to what I wanted and created a final product that was more than I could have imagined. They were quick, professional and the final product was awesome. I would 100% recommend Blue Alder and will definitely be calling them back for our next project(s).

Andy and his team are amazing! Our patio looks great and Andy was wonderful to work with. Hands down our favorite contractor of all time. Love supporting local!

Andy and his team are amazing!! The efficiency, professionalism, and creative landscaping is impeccable. My wife and I are beyond happy with the results!! Highly recommend and we will definetaly use them again for any future jobs.

This team is absolutely wonderful. We had the same day estimate and then they started work within a week of getting our approval from the HOA. Front yard, flower bed, and retaining wall are all amazing. Great job you guys.

We worked with Andy Duckworth and Blue Alder Excavation Services to help us clean up fallen trees from a windstorm. He also helped us clean up our logging roads, removed stumps, graded, and spread gravel. He was super easy to work with. Very polite professional, and yet very personal. We will definitely be working with them again on future projects. Looking forward to visiting their farm this spring.

Andy and his team at Blue Alder made my blackberries disappear into mulch. It’s not easy to find effective, reliable workers for jobs like mine and I am so glad to have found Blue Alder. You should contact them to go from thousands of square feet of thicket killing my plants to, poof, being able to see the ground. Friendly and respectful too!

The Blue Alder went above and beyond our expectations. The materials they chose, the installation, and the crew were all fantastic. We are very pleased the way our new walkway, back patio, fences, and garden bed turned out. I would highly recommend them for any type of paver installation, fence work, or landscaping.

Andy and his crew did an amazing job fixing my drainage issues and replacing my dying trees. Andy always arrived when he said he would, gave honest advice, and a fair price. He is a straight shooter and doesn’t try to upsell you on things that are not needed. The drainage issue was well handled and I don’t expect any further standing water problems. He replaced all my blue clay (the reason for my dying trees) with fresh soil, and planted beautiful large trees that perfectly matched my yard. His crew did a good job cleaning up afterword. He did great work and I’d definitely recommend him to anyone needing landscaping. I’d say I have pretty high standards for my projects and demand a clean worksite afterword. Andy did all this and beyond!

Andy and his team regraded and hydro seeded my 13000 sq ft back yard. It has been just over a week and the grass is coming in strong. Great job!

Andy and team completely transformed our backyard, including a new retaining wall, fence, leveling, patio, dog turf, a beautiful river bed garden, stairs, garden edging, lighting, and a new composite deck. There were no corners cut, the work is high quality and beautiful. We now have a gorgeous useable space where there was an overgrown, sinking, eyesore. Andy is extremely responsive with communication, dependable, and respectful. I cannot recommend this business enough.

The Blue Alder Landscape Contractors successfully transformed my front and backyard. I provided Andy with a reference image, and he skillfully executed the project. Their professionalism, thoroughness, and efficiency were truly commendable. I will definitely use their services again and I highly recommend them.

Shoutout The Blue Alder for the awesome work on our front yard. They were a spur of the moment choice after seeing their sign in a neighbors front yard. Andy and his team completed a front yard remodel to really improve our curb appeal. Stump grind, plant removal, leveling, brick work, drainage, and hydro seeding. Two weeks in and the front yard is looking amazing with grass coming in fast!! The best part of hiring The Blue Alder was the communication which is very important when working on a project like this, nothing was missed. 10/10 would recommend.

Andy and his crew (Justin, Jose, and Oswaldo) were fantastic. From the design to finishing touches, everything was top notch. With the challenges that come with any project, Andy and Justin had great communication and solutions at every turn. Can't recommend them enough and will be using The Blue Alder in the future for any hardscaping/landscaping needs.
