Just wanted to share an amazing experience we had at Home Depot (HD), Redmond location. My husband and I had gone to HD along with our four year old daughter to get our Christmas tree. It was quite cold and I was not layered enough. Cheryl who was working at the counter was amazing, she was very friendly and she gave me her hand warmer and also asked me to wait inside her booth where she had a heater on! She also told us to help our selves with hot choclate but unfortunately they were out of the mix and my daughter was disappointed. By the time we found the tree that we wanted my daughter's hands were freezing! Cheryl have her a hand warmer and made her wait inside the booth as well and we stayed there until my husband got the car. Brian also helped us with getting the tree tied on the car. As we were about to leave, a girl whose name I didn't get had overheard my daughter feeling sad about not getting her hot chocolate and she came out running with a cup for her!!!

This experience gives me hope! Thank you Cheryl, Brian, the girl (sorry! That I didn't get your name), and Home Depot for the great experience! Even though it was freezing out..the three of us left feeling very warm and fuzzy :)

They have got a wide range of flowering plants of different colours and sizes suitable for indoor and outdoor. The soils and mulch is very good deal. Many varieties of vegetables and fruits seeds and starters available.

The nursery department is not staffed with knowledgeable staff. They can direct you to where the different plants are, take your money and help you get your plants to your car. They know little or nothing about the individual plants. If you want that kind of service, you need to go to a private nursery like Mulbaks. The quality of the plants is inconsistent. About 1/3 of the perennials that I buy there either die or do not thrive. I stopped buying perennials there because it is worth it to pay extra for higher quality plants.

I was there to buy mulch. There was a special deal (5 bags for $10), and I could see there was sufficient stock. I just had to tell the cashier which brand and type of mulch I need and pay for it. Then I drove up to where the mulch was placed (in the parking lot) and hauled the quantity I bought to my car. No hassle. Home Depot personnel can help you hauled if necessary.

Pretty good selection of plants here although they are all over the place - inside, in the garden center and multiple places in the parking lot. All kinds of fungicides, pesticides, fertilizers, etc., although Amazon prices are sometimes cheaper. If you find that to be the case, ask them to price match. Large tool and pot selection and I've found the staff to be very nice and helpful.

Said they were going to come by on a Saturday (no time window). I made plans to be available most of the day. Never called, never showed up.

I had Bill and Co fell about 30 trees in my yard, most of which were 80' or bigger. They did an amazing job of landing them where they'd not hit others I wanted to keep. One was a HUGE maple whose trunk was touching a fir I wanted to keep, and they managed to do it without doing any damage to the fir. They're artists!

As a property manager, I have used them for years. Probably 4 to 6 times a year. They do an excellent job-- including those with the "occasional" difficult job requirements; and they clean up well when they are finished with their task. They are a smaller company where the business owner is over-seeing every aspect of the operation. That contributes to their consistently high ratings.

Bill and his crew did a good job of dropping an 80' Maple in our yard here in Seattle, with not a lot of room to spare. His price was very reasonable, and they hauled off all the small branches and just left us rounds sawed up to split for firewood.

He is hard to get a hold of, and hard to pin down for an exact date (as someone else has noted). But to be fair, we scheduled him in the winter, and there had just been stormy and wet weather which brought down many trees in the area and he and his crews were scrambling to keep up.

His price was the best, and if you can deal with some scheduling challenges, he does good work!

Bill and the crew did a really good job removing a few trees in my house! Easy to communicate, schedule, and get the job done really well and fast, with a very reasonable price.

I have used Gentle Ben's Tree Service for almost 15 years while living in Redmond and they were friendly and very professional. When I called for service, Bill was out within a couple of days and gave me a quote that day which was very reasonable. Once I made the decision to have trees removed, they came out and removed each tree with careful precision. They're toughest job came when I needed two trees removed next to a deck, partial fence and canopy area, there was no room for error and I was amazed how they did the job with no damage to any of those areas. Since that time, Gentle Ben has been providing service in my old neighborhood as word of mouth has made him the person to call.

I now live in a condo up north in Mill Creek and we will be using Gentle Ben's for removal of a few trees here.

I highly recommend Gentle Ben's Tree Service!

Ernie and Danny were great to work with. Friendly, timely and attentive to detail. Around 50 yards of gravel spread for our driveway and it looks awesome.

For those with a tighter driveway like ours, they have an 8 yard truck which spins on a dime and had no issues.
