Nasser was great. We have no clue when the last time the air ducting in our old house had been cleaned. If he was horrified by the state of them, he did not let on. He was so kind working around all our cats. He was professional and very thorough. Would definitely recommend these services.

The first impression I had of StarDucts was their ongoing communication. They regularly updated me about the status of the upcoming service, from confirming the appointment to what I needed to prepare, who would be coming, and the estimated arrival time. Starducts cleaned my dryer vent two weeks ago. I found out my dryer vent was 80% blocked on Sunday and contacted Starducts. They came over on Tuesday to clean it up. Simon arrived on time and did a fantastic job. He was very professional and showed respect to our property. I highly recommend them to anyone needs a prompt dryer vent service!

Today, Nasser came to do the air duct cleaning and made the air in our whole house feel so fresh. He did his best and kindly explained everything step by step. I hadn't had my air duct vents cleaned in a few years and I started noticing the dust in the air, so after a horrible failed attempt with another company I called StarDucts. I was easily able to get information about their services, pricing and schedule an appointment. They arrived on time, quickly set up and got to work. They did a great job and I am very happy with the results and I would definitely use them again. My only complaint is that in inspecting the floors after they left, I wish they would have vacuumed the areas around the vents after cleaning them. There was residual debris left on the carpeted areas as a result of the cleaning.

I am a property manager for some HOAs and also have a few years of trade work experience.

Simon did an excellent job with an individual having issues with their dryer not drying correctly. After pulling out the stacked washer and dryer he found that the installers failed to connect the dryer flex duct resulting in all the hot air and lint blowing into the unit. He got it attached correctly and cleaned out the duct from the roof as originally planned.

Upon putting the stack back there was a noise coming from the dryer that he could have ignored and left the resident to deal with, but he pulled the stack back out and found what was causing the noise and corrected.

Poor work creates more work for the next person, and Simon is that next person who does the job right.

Star Ducts was prompt and did a very thorough job cleaning our ducts. Nasser was communicative about his arrival time frame and showed us before and after pictures as well. We were able to schedule our duct cleaning in just 2 days and the price was reasonable. Would highly recommend.

Very friendly and personable technician - I liked him instantly. December 26th visit.

During the initial walk around he saw 4 ceiling vents. He said there were 4 return vents and that the estimate was for only 1 return. He said the other 3 would cost $300. I said thank you - but no thanks and to immediately cancel the appointment. That was a 50% upsell from the $600 estimate!.

4 returns for a 2200 sq ft house all within 20 ft of each other seemed unlikely - that is when I realized he was inexperienced.
I was immediately turned off by this bait and switch and my hackles were raised. Maybe I looked like a sucker?
He then said let me talk to my boss and make it $150 - I VERY reluctantly agreed. Later I asked him did you call your boss and he said no - that he was sure he would approve - very sketchy response again.

Later my wife was a bit distraught since he had opened the closed bathroom door while she was dressing. She did not hear a knock. He claimed he knocked twice. Next I saw him using our step ladder - he did not ask first as a common courtesy - of course I would let him use it.

FYI - we just completed a major bath remodel where we had over 15 different workers in the house over 10 weeks. Everyone was polite, respected our privacy and ALWAYS asked if they needed to use or touch our personal property. Many were youngsters like him - but who had had better mentorship and training from the owner.

Later he says we have only 1 return vent so the original estimate is correct. I asked and he said he had no idea what the other 3 vents were meant for - any experienced duct cleaner would have known. Again this uncertainty made me lose confidence in his knowledge and capabilities.

He did a thorough job of cleaning the furnace and all the floor vents, including the one big ceiling return intake. Seemed to do a great job with the furnace cleaning - and air is flowing very nicely now. Thank you for that!

I asked if (per the estimate/contract) he cleaned the 2 bath fan vents and he said he had. They do not look clean - neither does the return intake grate look any cleaner. He showed before and after duct pictures - but by now I was questioning whether these were from my house at all.

As he was wrapping up I asked if he had cleaned the dryer vent. He said he had from the outside - but he did not move the dryer inside to clean. When he knew I was not happy, he said he could move the dryer if I really wanted (I guess the customer has to request it?). By this time, I was quite fed up - and said we were done - please leave - and that I would remove all the blue plastic vent seals myself. He left in a huff and slammed his van doors very loudly and drove off.

Later I found he had tripped the entire garage circuit and did not tell me. I had to reset the panel breaker.

Not a pleasant overall experience- upselling as a bait, made me think I looked stupid, not experienced with home ductwork, and most importantly, lack of common courtesy and business/customer soft skills. If he is your lead quality technician as the owner says, I am concerned about the rest of the team.

The only reason I rated it as high as 3 stars is because he did a great job with the actual duct cleaning.

Overall, I really liked him as a son - but inexperienced - and who has not been provided customer interaction soft skills training and guidance by his parents“
