I got estimates from 3 contractors before choosing Wolf and Sons. Their cost was in the middle of the 3 estimates. I had them weed, regrade the back yard, install mowing strips all around the house and the perimeter of the property , and install river rock. The crew did an excellent job, and were okay with a couple of small changes I made during the course of the project. They cleaned everything up and I am quite satisfied with the result. I would use them again.

Chris saved us after a rogue plumber caused a major problem with our irrigation system while attempting to repair a leak. Chris was responsive and communicative, he made good on his promises, and he fixed a problem first time that another company had failed to resolve after four attempts. Wolf & Sons are now our go-to company for anything related to our irrigation system. Quality work for a fair price. Highly recommended. Well deserved five stars.

We hired Wolf & Sons Landscaping to repair our in ground water sprinklers. Even though it was a relatively minor job, Chris (owner) treated it with the same level of care and professionalism you’d expect on a much larger project.

Chris showed up right on time and quickly diagnosed the issue with our sprinkler system. He explained everything clearly, made the necessary repairs efficiently, and even adjusted the system to ensure better coverage going forward. It was clear he takes real pride in his work.

We are very happy with how everything came together. The landscape crew arrived promptly as scheduled and the work was completed on time. Chris had great suggestion on making sloped corner of backyard into a planting bed with retaining wall and it turned out beautiful. We also had sod and trees put in and everything looks very nicely done. Highly recommend their service and we plan to use them for future projects.

Update to review: We finally got the yard we expected. We got a response and they came out and got things corrected. We are finally happy with our project.

It’s been a couple of months since our backyard project was completed by Wolf and Sons. My initial contact and consultation was good. Crew showed up and did the work. Side pavers and rock turned out great. Our biggest issue we wanted addressed was getting the yard to drain more. We had two bad areas where water would pool when it rain. The contract mentioned removing 4-6 inches of the rock and clay replacing with 50/50 mix topsoil. Not sure the removal happened but I can’t prove it so that’s moot. Everything was leveled well then it rained and we still had pools. They came in and made a couple of changes, not enough in my opinion but again…moot. Then the sod was put it. Looked good. Job completed. Paid the remaining balance then…gone. Nothing. No follow-up to see if things were good. Nothing. A month later and the sod is having issues. Emailed but got no response. We are 2 months in and we have half a yard that’s green and one type of grass and another half that’s greenish and a different grass. We did all the watering correctly as instructed. I have yet to get any call, email or follow-up. We had two neighbors who also got new sod from a different company. Theirs looks great. $15k is not a small amount for us and I don’t feel I got a final product that reflects that amount. Use them, don’t use them. Your choice. This was just our experience.

We hired Wolf and Sons for a total backyard renovation. We added turf, pavers, garden beds, greenery, sail shades, fence doors, gravel… everything, really! Chris was very responsive and professional. He was quick to bring over samples and answer my questions (and I had A LOT of questions). He worked with me and gave good advise when I was struggling to make decisions. The workers were very timely in getting everything done. It only took them 9 days, which was very impressive! I highly recommend this company!

The only thing they could have improved on was walking through the property beforehand and understanding what needed to be removed or modified. I’d recommend them and work with them again.

Ray and team did an amazing job of bringing my yard back to life after several months of neglect. They addressed all the issues we talked about in our walkthrough, and even some I forgot to mention. They've been really easy to work with.

We hired Raymond with Modern Living Landscaping to enhance our existing garden, and he did a fantastic job.

He has a great eye for design and chose plantings that not only look beautiful but also add scent and a nice feel to the space. What stood out most was how thoughtful he was—he took the time to explain his choices and focused on the long-term health of the garden as well aa aesthetics.

He’s knowledgeable, creative, and genuinely cares about plants. He also helped troubleshoot why certain plants weren’t doing well, which was really valuable. Raymond listens well, is collaborative, easy to work with, and truly aims to get it right. I hope to hire him as my landscaper - this is someone you want taking care of your garden.

MLL just completed a job for us. They completely transformed our small, useless backyard, adjacent to our elevated deck, into a lovely raingarden. Raymond, Ciara, and their crew were all awesome. The work crew was professional and considerate. Not a speck of debris was left behind. We highly recommend these folks!

I am very pleased with their service. They respond to my needs, show up on time, waste no time, and take great care. Today was my first visit after the initial landscape renewal and I saw them watering my newish resending after they mowed. Also did some additional pruning of a young tree and 2 bushes without being asked. I don't think they knew I was home until I came out to ask how often I now needed to water the lawn .

Ray helped me with landscaping twice and they did a great job. Professional service on weedbarrier / mulch / triming, etc. Recommend!

Very professional, prompt, and informative! This is our first time caring for a lawn that was fairly distressed and thanks to MLL, we understand how to maintain the extensive work they put in!

Ray has been amazing! When I bought my house it turned out to have a mole problem that had completely destroyed my entire yard. I tried all sorts of things to fix it, with no luck. And then I found Ray! A few months ago my lawn wasn't even safe to walk in there were so many tunnels and holes. And now it's starting to look like an actual lawn! It even has grass! Ray identified that the problem was that the last owner had buried stumps that had become infested with grubworms, so he treated the problem AND also sent amazing pictures showing me what he found and what he did. He's awesome and a problem solver. I can't recommend him enough!

Ray, Ciara and their team have recently designed and transformed our backyard into a much better area for our two crazy pups to play in. They were professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating to our asks (and added scope). We can’t say enough great things about MLL so far!

I initially contacted them about a quote for monthly maintenance and a spring clean up. Ray was prompt, professional and showed real interest in providing the best services tailored to our yard, not a uniform “this is our services quote”. Prices were reasonable and seemed transparent in costing.

We had the initial clean up last week and my husband and I were so thrilled about the thoroughness of the work being complete and the care Ray and his team showed for every plant in our yard. They pressured washed everything for us and took great care to ensure everything was spotless and any splashing was washed down.

We have monthly maintenance with MLL going forward and we feel so much better with this lawn service taking such great care of our lawn and creating a beautiful place for our kids to play this summer!
