Had Ryan come out and troubleshoot my issue. Within minutes he found not one but multiple outlets were bad. He was quick, timely and a great point person for the company on my first experience with them. I will call them every time from here on out. THANK YOU RYAN

Glen and Dalton did amazing work. They replaced my wall heaters, as the old ones were a fire hazard. I also had a surge protector installed, as well as a smoke alarm. I highly recommend Prairie Electric.

We have hired Prairie Electric for a variety of jobs over the years including light fixture installation, under cabinet light bar replacement, ductless heat pump wiring, electrical panel replacement, and outlet replacement. Most recently, Andrew came to our 1910 historic home to install two new chandeliers and replace a dimmer switch. We have never had a negative experience with any of the electricians at Prairie and recommend this company enthusiastically.

I used prairie electric to change my panel box, I got quotes from 2 other companies, normally I don't go with the lowest (which they were by a few hundredhdollars) but after reading the reviews and honestly partly because I see their trucks everywhere which made me think they must be well established, I went with them. They arrived on time, the technician was knowledgeable and on time and they put in aa to of the line panel box. 5 stars

I have used Prairie Electric for two jobs at my home. I have found them to be very prompt and extremely professional. Their workmanship was great and their employees have always been courteous and very knowledgeable. I will continue to use them for all my future electrical needs.

Prairie Electric was there for us on a Saturday afternoon! Every person we spoke with on the phone or in our home was very helpful, knowledgeable and kind. They went above and beyond to make sure we didn't have to go all weekend without power. I highly recommend giving them a call!

Prairie Electric did service on our duplex today to conclude the required repair list on a sale of the property. There were several electrical items on the list such as multiple lugged neutrals, verifying or installing a new ground, wiring anomalies in one of the circuits, remounting the electric meters which had pulled away from the building, etc. We were concerned whether the electrician they sent would be up to getting this list done in one day. They got the problems diagnosed and solved quickly, and the repair list went like clockwork. Their electrician, Dan Niemi, did great work and I can breathe easier tonight knowing all of the repair items on this sale have been done well, quickly and economically!

I was very impressed with this company, I called to set up an appointment and they were booked out two weeks. They offered to put me on a wait list to hopefully get a sooner time and they came that afternoon! Courteous, professional and a fair price. I will definitely recommend and use again.

On a Sunday, of course, we lost power in a section of our house. Breakers and RFIs were all OK. Called PE and 80 minutes later we were repaired and good to go. The tech took time to explain the issue to me and how this might be avoided in the future.

The light fixture in our kitchen stopped working, and we took the opportunity to change the fixture to something we liked better, but that fixture didn't work either! Turned out we had a bad switch, they put in a new one and even finished installing the light, Really appreciate it Praire

Granted - it was a Sunday. I thought the price quite reasonable for a Sunday and immediate service. Easy contact - and they stayed in touch. The fix only too a few minutes - and he carefully showed me how to do it. Easy peasy - I'll call again. Highly recommended.

This company arrived to diagnose a clients generator.
Not too sure what they did , to actually diagnose the problem.

They DID inform the client they needed a new ($20,000 plus) generator.
Or possibly an issue with the electrical.
I replaced a spark plug and added a small amount of oil. Started right up.
How can you be in the business of repair, and not check a spark plug?
And then suggest the client spend money for nothing as well as charge them full price. Charge to misdiagnose? Should be paying for the electrician she paid for no reason.

I had an intermittent porch light that needed fixing. I had called a couple other electric contractors a few days ago, but they never called back. I figured they don't get too enthusiastic about small jobs. I called Prairie today and they happened to have some workers whose job was just wrapping up, and they came by in about 20 minutes and fixed it in about 20 minutes. The price was very reasonable.

We had an unexpected need for an electrician for an urgent, but small, repair. Dan in scheduling said he could get someone out that afternoon, which he did. Mark did an unbelievably fabulous job - situation resolved in less than 90 minutes, for a VERY reasonable price. I'm a customer for life!

Prairie Electric was incredibly helpful! Had a late night electrical failure in our ancient wall heater that caused some pretty bad sparks, we killed the power to the house and called around for an emergency tech. Prairie was the first one that actually had 24/7 service. Spoke with Andrew who talked us through the issue and helped us get power safely back on in the rest of the house so we could wait for our landlords to get someone in to repair the broken heater. Super friendly service and put our minds at ease!

My husband and I recently purchased a home and were informed that because we had a deep freezer we needed to reach out to Prarie about possibly installing an outlet that would hold power to keep my deep freezer running. My husband called and explained what we needed. Who ever he spoke to did inform us that it was going to be $190 for the first hour and $90 every hour plus parts. That’s it and proceeded to schedule our appointment. The electrician showed up and was very kind (which is why I gave 2 stars because my husband spoke highly of him and said he appeared to feel bad about what I am about to say) and my husband asked him something to the effect of do most deep freezers need this to which the electrician replied something along the lines of not typically for newer deep freezers. So 2.5 hours later, I get a call from my husband stating we had a bill for $798 we needed to pay. I asked how, and he broke it down as approximately $300 for labor, $200 for parts, $150 for a permit, and I believe the rest ro taxes. Firstly, I am not an electrician nor am I a construction professional, how am ai supposed to know I was going to need a permit? Additionally, before having someone pay almost 1k in fees, you should probably break down the cost analysis and ask questions to ensure they know what they are asking for. Would recommend training or something on that…because of this experience, I wouldn’t recommend you all to anyone…ever…hopefully this doesn’t happen to anyone else.

With Covid going on, we were nervous about having work done inside..but Prairie Electric was GREAT! Did everything right in regard to precautions without being asked (this household has an 89 yo senior and a caregiver) and was quick and efficient with all the jobs we needed done! Will DEFINITELY be calling these guys for any more electrical work in the future. The price was great too!

I called up Prairie Electric to get a quote on some possible work to be done. The service tech talked through the potential problem and assisted me over the phone. Very friendly, very knowledgeable. they were able to solve my problem in a 5 minute phone call. If I ever have any other issues i will definitely will be coming back to them. Highly recommend.

Absolute rip offs for residential services. Called them back for a repair completed 30 day prior, same issue resurfaced, wanted to charge us a $250.00 service fee. Also had a bid of $5,000.00 to install an outdoor outlet! Highly recommend going elsewhere for residential electric needs and skip these con artists.

We had a great experience with Prairie Electric! We purchased a new AC unit and needed our outlet changed to run it. Not only did they fit us in a week sooner than expected but they were quick, professional, and even cleaned up the mess from when our AC unit was installed for us. Highly recommend, thank you Dan!
