They kept saying that they'd take care of our project for 1+ month, to eventually ghost us.

You should not trust these people.

Gravity Waterproofing did a great job sealing my basement and also replacing a pipe at my other house. The crew was friendly and worked hard until the jobs were done. I would recommend them to anyone that needs waterproofing or having a pipe cleaned or replaced .

This company put a multi step project at risk by claiming they could do a job to not just us but also our other contractor and then ghosted us for multiple months.

Due to water under the house best option a French Drain.
I was told it would take 5 days. The team that would do the work was always on time and noted their attention to organization and detail was exceptional. The lead Jose was respectful and explained the work easy to understand. Fernando and his team are great at coming up with creative solutions for your waterproofing and drainage needs, and do it for very competitive rates! I've had them work on my home and rental properties, and each time they've impressed me with how quick and effective they are at what they do. Highly recommend!

My home used to smell like mildew. Various home inspectors, plumbers and contractors had come in to troubleshoot this situation, to no avail. It wasn’t until Fernando got involved last month that I received clear and feasible solutions. His crew just completed a 3-day job installing footing drains and pumps in my crawlspace to take care of a hidden groundwater intrusion. Although the job took a day longer than estimated (at no cost to me), his crew was hard-working and efficient. They took time to address my concerns and to explain their process. They also did additional drain and downspout work at no extra charge to be sure my garage stays dry and to clean and to remove existing mildew from my basement. My home smells perfect again. I especially liked that he solved the whole problem, not just a portion of it. I recommend him highly for any moisture/drainage problems.

These guys are terrific. The job they did was done well and I was very pleased with the outcome. They took their time and did an excellent job all the employees that were working on the job, were a pleasure to work with.

We loved working with Fernando and Gravity Waterproofing. Water intrusion in Seattle is a nightmare! As real estate agents we look for partnerships with vendors who are reasonably priced, thorough, and we can trust with our clients and friends. Gravity has completed 3 projects for us. Two of the projects were huge and unexpected. Fernando responded quickly, had a plan, and executed it flawlessly. The new owners have all been happy to report that the job they did has proven the test of time and rectified the water issues. We can't recommend these guys any more. Just terrific.

Fernando & crew came highly recommended from our realtor and have done great work on our new home, including installing a full interior perimeter drain that has kept our basement bone dry. Fernando is knowledgeable, reassuring, and affordable—though busy, he responds promptly to calls and texts and is always ready to help problem solve any random house issues we ask him about. His workers have been amiable and tidy. We’ve enjoyed working with him and will continue to do so!

Update 1/27/25: The Gravity Team just finished an additional project for us and went above and beyond to troubleshoot and make sure our yard and walkways were looking their best. Much appreciation to Oscar, Fernando, and the crew!

Couldn't be happier with Fernando and his team! When our basement started leaking, I discovered a crack in the wall after a plumber confirmed it wasn't a plumbing issue. Fernando came out for a quote and immediately impressed me with his comprehensive approach. Unlike the other two companies I contacted, he explained his plan thoroughly without any sales pressure. He even spotted another issue in our crawl space that we'd been putting off since moving in.

The work was incredibly challenging due to our house being built into a hill with tight property lines. These guys were digging 10ft trenches in some spots, by hand, using shovels and buckets to move dirt. Truly impressive.

Jose, who managed the daily work, would always stop to explain their progress whenever I checked in after I got home from work. He patiently walked me through their plans multiple times to make sure I understood everything.

They installed plenty of clean-outs for maintenance, added tar coating (I think) to the foundation, and used dimpled matting to ensure proper drainage. Though the job took longer than expected, they never cut corners - they were committed to doing it right.

Without hesitation, I'd hire them again for any service they offer. Excellent craftsmanship, respectful team, and Fernando is simply a stand-up guy. These people know what they're doing!

I had a great experience working with Gravity Drainage. They installed a French drain in my crawlspace, which only has about 2 feet of space to work in, and they handled it with impressive efficiency and skill. The team was very professional and completed the job at a very reasonable price.

In addition to the drain installation, they went above and beyond by helping remove mold buildup, reinforcing and replacing wooden posts, changing out my water heater, troubleshooting some electrical issues, and fixing multiple leaking pipes. They were incredibly accommodating with my schedule and made the entire process smooth and stress free.

I contacted Gravity Waterproofing after discovering water intrusion in my basement, and I couldn't be more pleased with their service. From the initial assessment, they took considerable time to properly identify the root cause of the problem and develop an effective solution.

What impressed me most was their detailed and transparent pricing quote. They not only provided clear pricing but also included potential cost overruns that might be discovered during excavation work. This upfront honesty about the unknowns that come with digging was a huge plus and showed their integrity.

The team installed French drains both in the crawl space and outside the house, and also handled repairs to the water-damaged flooring and drywall in the basement. The work was completed efficiently - the French drain and pump installation took only a few days, and they addressed the basement water damage shortly after resolving the intrusion issue.

Their professionalism, thoroughness, and quality workmanship were outstanding. I would definitely hire Gravity Waterproofing again for any future outdoor water mitigation needs. Highly recommended!

We had a water line break and Tox was able to determine some of the first things to do. His team dug very deep into the clay to get to the problem and fixed it expertly with their in-house plumber. Good job Gravity! We are finally getting our basement back.

Fernando and his crew were fantastic - transparent, hardworking, and professional. Everything was explained in simple terms, they showed up when they said they would, and they even let us shave off a big chunk of the bill by letting us dig most of what needed digging out ourselves.
I got another quote from a large company. Slick presentation, totally different vibe, and they wanted to do something different that would have been more invasive, more expensive, and didn't really make sense to me. I'm glad I trusted my gut and went with Gravity.

Our backyard developed a bit of a sinkhole that was 40 feet long and got two different quotes for remediation. While nothing is cheap about a sink hole, his rates were fair and his team were both knowledgeable and hard working. They dug out our entire backyard, put in all the necessary drainage, rerouted our sprinklers, put in new retaining walls and leveled the yard. It came out way better than we had expected. I know that they did a great job when the other company we consulted complemented their work!

Fernando is extremely knowledgeable and his team did fantastic work for us. What started as a blocked downspout turned into a significantly more complicated project once our family learned that our home never had any appropriate drainage installed for storm runoff! A disappointing thing to learn during weeks of heavy rain and flooding.

Fernando was a very clear and patient communicator every step of the way as we evaluated how to best understand and manage our options. In the end we came up with a stormwater drainage and retention solution that we’re very happy with, which was executed extremely well at a very competitive price. Even in nasty December Seattle weather with a whole front yard to dig up, Fernando’s team completed their work within 48 hours of arriving and breaking ground. We’re very pleased and highly recommend!

I really enjoyed working with Fernando and crew.

I had an annoying situation where the builder had installed multiple pumps outdoors to a catch basin to get pumped to the sewer by yet another pump. When that last pump failed last year all hell broke loose and my basement flooded. I contacted Fernando to figure out a better system and I felt really on the same page with him with the solution.

He was responsive with my questions and his crew was really prompt and hardworking and did a great job putting my backyard back as they found out (removing and carefully reinstalling pavers for example). I've been happy with the results and the piece of mind of now having a sensible drainage solution.

We had a significant exterior drainage project done by Gravity, and the end result has been excellent, as far as we can immediately tell. The system appears well-designed and expertly installed, and our property seems nicely improved. The crew worked hard, and the core technical work inspires confidence. I did need to ask for intermediate inspection points, which felt important given that this is buried infrastructure, but once I did, they were provided without complaint.

If 4.5 stars were available, that’s likely where I’d land. The only reason for the slight hedge is communication style. At times, explanations leaned more toward emotional reassurance than process-oriented discussion, which isn’t ideal when working with any company. That said, the work itself is what ultimately matters, and on that front they delivered. If you want intermediate inspection points (one or two before work is buried), just articulate that up front; otherwise they may assume those aren’t important to you.

Overall, I would recommend Gravity. They seem to have a quality mindset and a desire to scope projects appropriately. I also appreciated that the manager, Tox, did not try to upsell me into work we didn’t need, aside from a brief mention of a possible future option.

Pricing seemed reasonable to me, based on the amount and difficulty of the work, though I don’t have direct comparison points. One practical note: you may want to nudge them to get utilities marked as soon as scheduling begins.

No team is perfect. This one seems excellent.

Omar brought his team to my yard to remove concrete, dirt, and a large rock that others couldn't split (the rock was partially buried in a limited access spot) left over from previous excavation/building project. They were reaponsive and made quick work of the project, finishing on schedule and making way for the next phase of property improvements. Thank you, Omar and crew!!
