After many disappointing conversations and meetings with a variety of contractors, we got a recommendation on NextDoor to work with Donald @ Zuma Contracting and everything started to fall in place.

Donald helped us simplify the overly complicated structural design we received from another firm and locked in a plan with us that fit within our budget. He was meticulous about ensuring everything was done right and patiently worked with us through all the complications that can arise when you're remodeling a home built in 1907. You never can know for sure what's behind the walls!

I could not be happier with quality, craftsmanship, timeliness, and professionalism of Donald Tillman and Zuma Contracting. This was an extensive remodel with a ton of tile work that included gutting and renovating a powder room, laundry room, master bath, fireplace, and kitchen. They turned my 80’s condo into the beautiful home of my dreams!

Donald is an artist and a perfectionist. You won’t find a contractor the produces higher quality or better craftsmanship.

The attention to detail is remarkable. For example, I had a bypass pocket door installed and Donald’s crew stained the inside of the pocket door jamb to match the doors. The jamb was the same color as the wall and would never be noticeable, but Donald’s crew wanted a high-quality look. I love it. And the tile work is superb! I had a pattern tile installed in the tub surround and his team made sure the pattern followed around each corner. It’s beautiful! Oh, and the live edge mantel…. Wow!

I lived through the construction and the entire team was respectful and courteous, even when my dog walked through the paint. They understood I was working from home and took steps to mitigate disruptions. In short, Donald and the entire team were incredibly respectful.

Communication was outstanding. I always knew what to expect and when. Of course, there are always delays, (especially with supply chain issues) but Donald’s communication was on point. I was never left wondering the status of a project or what the next steps would be.

Terrific communication, responsiveness and service. Kudos to STS and in particular, Justin Heyer, for assisting us promptly and with the utmost professionalism.

STS came to my home for an estimate and said they would send a detailed estimate within 2 weeks. All other contractors sent within 1 week. It is now a month later and still no estimate. .

Misrepresented their work - they say they don't use 3rd party vendors but absolutely do.

The STS team helped to build out our office space and was great - Quality of work was very high and the people were excellent to work with as well.

Worked with Clint M and had a very frustrating experience that included him telling me “I don’t need the money. We’re saving you by taking on this project through the HOA” when politely asking to move the project forward, missing target finish construction date by 8 weeks, getting a majority of texts/emails/voice mails ignored, going on leave for a week without zero notice, getting contractors in my unit on a different day than I desired with no communication which resulted in me needing to frantically reschedule movers from another company because they couldn’t do their job, and preventing me from calling Justin (his manager) when trying to leave feedback by telling me “I don’t have a manager” which turned out to be a lie.

Overall, this might take the prize for worst customer experience.

STS Construction Services is a great company. Their staff is friendly and efficient. Their knowledge goes above and beyond expectations. I would refer anyone looking for commercial or residential construction services to reach out to them.

Disappointed in my experience with this company. Would not recommend using them for any home renovations.

The service and work on residential, commercial and / or water intrusion is the absolute best in Washington.

STS recently completed a repair/residing project on my house. They are very customer focused, courteous, and professional and really go the extra mile to ensure the job is done properly and will stand up to the wet weather we have in Seattle. I couldn't be more pleased with the results or the service.

I am on a site right now doing security for another site, but having to use the same door that I am watching. These guys are the coolest guys to work with! They let me park my big truck and they have offered me water and professionalism when I need to take a break. I recommend STS Construction to anyone that asks.

I experienced not even a moment's doubt that my future home in Seattle was in the most skilled and trustworthy of hands with STS Construction Services and under the careful curatorial oversight of Robert Sheka. That is saying a lot--given that 1900 square feet on the 24th floor was completely gutted and renovated during the peak COVID years of 2021-22 and by bi-coastal meetings each Thursday between me (in NC), my designer (in RI), and my contractor Robert! My retirement home is not only impeccably engineered and crafted, it also materializes my wishful thinking down to the detail. Given that this was a major renovation and supply lines at this time were so shaky, it seems nothing short of miraculous the reno was completed a week before my scheduled move and the entire project went over budget by only a negligible amount. STS ROCKS!

One of my father's condos had a water loss. I was trying to assist him with coordinating the repairs as he lives out of the area. The building manager hired STS to complete the repairs. After a year of lies and broken promises by Clint the supervisor the unit remains unrepaired and incomplete. The quality of work was horrendous. Who simply paints over wallpaper when they are supposed to repair it? The materials they tried to use were much lower grade that what was in the unit. They also caused damage to other areas when they were in the unit doing the repairs. Not one thing they did was completed correctly. Do not ever hire this company!!! It is too bad that 1 star is a minimum as they deserve less than a zero!!

A good contractor can make all the difference in ensuring that your home project is completed with high quality and efficiency. STS has helped with small misc. projects at my home. They are top-notch regarding professionalism, reliability, and high-quality work. I highly recommend STS! If you are thinking about doing a home project, call these guys!

CondoManagements, Inc manages condominium buildings in the Seattle area and we have used STS for large water losses, unit rebuilds, full exterior re-clads, roofing projects and more! 10 stars all around! STS built my fitness studio (HOTWORX) in Seattle. As a 38 year old woman who knows nothing about construction, this build out process was scary and intimidating....until I teamed up with STS.

I worked closely with Mark, Jacob, Kellen, and Mike and all 4 were fantastic!

Mark handled my estimate and explained the process of permitting, timelines, and costs in detail and was so patient with me.

Once we were able to start building, Jacob took over the project as my project manager. Jacob is an absolute rockstar and is truly so good at what he does. He's knowledgeable, assertive, and detail oriented. I always felt he really cared what my concerns were and genuinely wanted to make sure I was happy with every detail.

Jacob contacted all my vendors so he understood down to the hour when equipment was being dropped off and organized all of it! He literally managed by entire project, not just the construction like I assumed.

He took so much off my plate so I could focus elsewhere which is going to make my grand opening a breeze because of it.

STS didn't just build a beautiful studio, they made my experience of opening a new business easy and dare I say enjoyable. (I've heard so many horror stories and I'm so glad that wasn't my experience)
