If you want it done right, STS is your crew. Whatever the scope, they have the expertise to handle it. If it’s damage to your home, they fix things up as though it had never happened. If it’s a remodel, STS has the most experienced and professional craftsman you’ll ever find. STS really prides themselves on getting things done right. I’ve appreciated all the work they’ve done for me, and I’m sure to call on them in the future.

STS construction has been working on a project in the Queen Anne area for almost an entire year, taking up roughly 12-15 parking spaces with absolutely no consideration for said people that live in the neighborhood. First, they made their no parking signs no parking, 24 hours a day, M-S. They go home between 3-5pm and do not work on Saturdays. 2nd, they have had no parking signs up for almost entire months when they don't do any work. 3rd, I have come home at least half a dozen times to 0 parking spots because their work trucks are parked in regular plapots, while their reserved parking spaces are available, they just don't move their trucks. I understand that you you have contracts and jobs to complete, but you can be going about it in a completely different way and can have at least a little consideration for your temporary neighbors. This is also on the people whose house they're working on but the rich folks already don't care about the middle class people in the neighborhood, so this really doesn't help. I don't believe in writing bad reviews but I am sick and tired of STS working in our neighborhood and having absolutely no regard or consideration for anybody but the people whose house they're working on.

We hired STS to do a major repair on our home (replacing the cracked foundation of our two-story house). The work required them to coordinate with our architect, designer, structural engineers, geotechnical engineers, and support piling specialists. We also decided to do some light remodeling and updating while the house was under construction. Our STS project manager (Jay) and site lead (Enrique) were fantastic to work with, answering our many questions and making sure to check in with us before proceeding on anything that came up anew. The on-site team was very flexible and helped us to create new storage space and improve interior spaces during the build. The plumbers, electricians, and other pros employed with STS were all great to work with. Everyone was respectful of the home and property. We have already, and will continue to, recommend STS!

STS Construction is a highly professional, reliable, and easy-to-work-with contractor. As the president of our HOA, I monitored STS as they replaced the siding and windows on two sides of each of 6 buildings. The year-long, $1 million project went far more smoothly than we had imagined possible. The workers were friendly, accommodating, and most of all, competent craftsmen. The project was very well managed; the site manager kept us up-to-date on the progress and on any issues that arose. So, when my wife and I wanted to renovate our condominium, we went with the residential division of STS and, again, had the same, great experience. STS takes care of its employees, and it shows in terms of low turn-over and in the quality and skill of the workmen they hire. Their attention to detail, explanations about what they were doing and needed to be done, and their willingness to go the extra mile was impressive. We got what we paid for and more. I highly recommend considering STS for any residential construction project.

We have used STS for 15 years as our go to company for remodeling, emergencies, and various condo construction projects. Clint and his staff have always reacted quickly to emergency situations and been very accommodating to resident needs. Their work is always very professional and of high quality. When we took possession of our home in Seattle, we realized that the sellers had done us a "favor" by painting swatches around the holes where pictures had been hung - in a different color. It looked like our walls had measles. Every. Single. Wall.
And our furniture was expected to arrive on Monday.
Clint came to give us an estimate on Friday, helped us choose a paint color, and had a crew on site at 6:45 am on Saturday. Their preparation was painstaking and meticulous and, although they worked quickly, they cut no corners. They were able to finish the entire house in about ten hours - just in time for the furniture to arrive.
They were also very accommodating about our two traumatized cats who were still recovering from their first plane ride,

We hired STS to lay tile for our kitchen floor and we couldn’t be happier. They did an impeccable job. The grouting was masterful and recommended an epoxy grout, which takes more skill as it sets fast, but its stain resistant and more durable than normal grout. They also identified that our floor sloped in places and adjusted for those so the floor was properly level. The team who did the work was also friendly, on time, and attentive to our preferences. We plan to hire them again for a bigger project in the future.

We worked with STS to do a full gut remodel of our house and would recommend them highly for anyone looking to build, remodel or even take care of small projects. The best parts of working with them include:
-They were honest with us up front about all quoted work, which made things clear if we wanted something changed during the process.
-They have excellent builders and craftsmen on the team and didn't outsource their trades. All millwork, metal railings and low-volt were custom for our project and it turned out great.
-Last - and don't underestimate this when deciding on a contractor - they had excellent project managers. I've worked with project managers across a number of different industries and it's easy to tell when a project manager knows what they're doing versus someone that just gets thrown into the role by their company. STS has great project managers.

STS recently remodelled our bathroom and we are extremely pleased with the final outcome. Our Magnolia home is 85 years old and the downstairs bathroom presented multiple challenges including underground plumbing / window relocation. Throughout the entire process their team exhibited exceptional workmanship. They handled our home with the utmost care and respect, which is a huge priority for us. The most impressive thing is that STS was able to come up with effective solutions to any challenges that arose during the project. The project went smoothly and our bathroom is beautiful. We strongly recommend STS for any home project.

STS helped us with an extensive remodel of our home. What started out as a conversation about new windows morphed into windows, doors, kitchen, bathrooms, ... everything. The quality of work is absolutely fantastic. The project was one month longer than expected, but they were great about communication and frankly was due to changes that we made regarding the scope of the project. The sub-contractors used were wonderful also.

Probably most importantly, it really felt like they cared about the project. Everyone from the site manager down to the painter had massive pride of ownership over their work - and it shows. It's really fun as the owner to see someone excited to show you the work they have done on your home. Their excitement helps you stay excited - even as you're dealing with the inevitable frustrations that come along with a huge project.

I've worked with STS in the past on another home, but for a smaller project. They were great then, and they were great again with this much larger undertaking.

STS saved our project.

We went with a Build Design firm for our to-the-studs remodel, but the entire experience of designing and bidding with them felt wrong. It felt like we were paying A+ prices for their B team employees. When it came time to sign for construction, we decided to bid it out to other builders. STS’s bid was by far the most comprehensive and the price was fair. They felt like they had the experience to do the job, and we needed that when our design had shocking code violations that cost tens of thousands to remediate. STS was there every step of the way working with us to fix the issues, get us up to code, and the change order pricing was fair. I couldn’t have asked for anything else.

We did a massive 9 month project with STS that touched every single part of our house. It was as big as a project can get without full demolition. Our 1919 Craftsman is now a treasure, an incredible house that retains all the character and charm of the original state but with across the board updates. This house will go another 100 years without skipping a beat and we have STS to thank for that.
We’re going to do more work in the future and we will use STS without reservation. I don’t normally do reviews but STS deserves to have people know our experience. They’re that good.

As an Interior Designer, I've worked with STS Construction on several residential projects from bathrooms + kitchens to full-house remodels and have enjoyed my experience working with them. They've been communicative, accommodating to scope changes (growing and reducing), and offered helpful solutions when we've encountered unexpected challenges on job sites. I've received repeated positive feedback from clients on STS's work. So when we were ready to start remodeling our home last year, we called STS immediately!

We had a broken bathroom in dire need of a full gut & redo. Our electrical service was archaic, with an over-stuffed panel and not enough capacity for EV charging and air-conditioning. The rest of of our 1950s home suffered from neglect and poor DIY. As we got more excited about the changes to our home, we imposed several rounds of scope creep, and our project manager was incredibly accommodating and flexible with getting us added on to the schedule.

The electrical work was complicated by the fact that we had underground power. This made things exponentially more difficult since it required digging, and a more complex set of permits. STS's Electrical Division coordinated the entire process for us: dealing with the City and going through the permitting process, trenching, installing two new panels and a new meter, pouring the new sidewalk as demanded by SDOT, and installing our car charger. We were worried about this given the complexity and number of moving parts, but STS completely owned it and alleviated our concerns.

I had several difficult design details I wanted which included doing custom mixed tile layouts at the fireplace and in the bathroom. STS was incredibly patient with me as we worked through getting the different colors/sizes of tiles placed exactly where I wanted it. Also, their grout lines and mitered tile corners turned out BEAUTIFULLY! We're very happy with how our project turned out and I'm glad to have had such a wonderful experience throughout the construction process with their highly skilled trades and fantastic customer service from the entire STS team.

Going through a renovation is a daunting process and having STS on your project will make the process go easier and you don't have to worry! I'm excited to work on the next one with them!

Our project came in on time to the *day* our project manager planned, and even came in slightly under budget. Everyone from STS was always accessible, respectful, responsible, and considerate over the course of the five-month project. We hired STS to replace all of the counter tops in out kitchen and three bathrooms, the floor tile in the three bathrooms and a utility room as well as in two showers. Installed new lighting, two custom built cabinets, carpeting and painting of the entire condo. The quality of the work was outstanding. They were excellent at communicating throughout the project and met all of their time commitments.
