READ BEFORE DOING BUSINESS WITH BRENNAN!

This is a review that started 11 years ago. I was in need of a more efficient heating system. Costco had a Brennan rep at the exit. I spoke with them and I ended up with a Lennox mini split installed for $6400. Everything was great. Fast forward 11 years, the outside unit failed at the coldest time of the year. I called Brennan and they sent out a tech. I was told the unit was dead and parts were no longer available. I was quoted $11400 for a lower quality system! Even with cost increases over the years, double seemed excessive.

I had another tech from another company out. He told me $300 to install a new control board but it was possible there was a short that would fry the new board instantly. With further inspection, that tech found that the needed 4-wire bundle from the outside unit to the head unit was actually a 3-wire with no actual ground wire. Instead an 8 inch wire with a striped end on both ends that used the metal interior of the conduit as a jumper was used as the ground wire (See photo). The new tech told me this is most likely what caused the failure and was an improper installation. And if the permit inspector had known that's what was done, they would have never sign-off on the installation.

I found a more affordable option and finally have heat again. I attempted multiple times to contact Brennan to let them known about what was found. I finally spoke with a supervisor after leaving several unreturned voice mails. I told him the situation and he basically said, it passed inspection and they wouldn't do anything about it. I told him I still have the old unit and wire to show them the problem. He said it's been too long and again that it passed inspection. I asked him if they would at least haul away the old unit because refrigerant requires a specific disposal process. The supervisor agreed to email me after he spoke with the owner. It's been months and I have received no emails or phone calls.

Be warned, Brennan takes short cuts and does improper (if not illegal) installations. If you have any equipment installations done by them, speak directly to the permit inspector before they sign-off on the permit. Don't let their short cuts cost you thousands later on.

On one of the coldest days of the year our furnace malfunctioned. Brennan responded right away and got the furnace fixed same day. The technician, Ibs, was punctual, courteous, clear in explaining the problem and fixed the problem. Thanks for the great work.

I needed a furnace check-up/ tune up.
The technician Daniel showed up on time with an awesome attitude.
Very considerate about our surroundings.
And went right to work.
He found some things that needed attention explained to me what they were showed me a part that needed replaced gave me the cost of the part and asked me if I wanted it replaced.
Daniel did all the work cleaned up and was done in no time..
He let me know my furnace was in good shape.
Very professional .
I would use Brennan again and again.

I needed to have my hot water tank serviced so I contacted Greenwood Heating and Home Services because they do a yearly service on my gas furnace. Marcus came out and did an excellent job. The overflow tank had failed and Marcus replaced it. He was so kind and knowledgeable and did a great job. Also, when I call their office to schedule appointments or ask questions someone always answers the phone, is pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend this company.

Great work by this company assessing the upgrades we needed after our furnace went out 2 yrs ago. We upgraded to a heat pump, and they did an excellent job installing the unit. We had an annual inspection and maintenance done this year; Branden did a great job…he was very thorough and explained the whole process of what he did/very knowledgeable about the system. Excellent HVAC maintenance service. The technician performed a thorough system inspection, cleaned and checked all key components, verified airflow and performance, and made sure everything was operating efficiently. They explained the condition of the system clearly and pointed out any preventive recommendations without being pushy. The work was clean, professional, and detail-oriented. Very reliable service — highly recommended for ongoing heating and home system maintenance.

The issue with my furnace is not straightforward. The Heating Technician Paul, was patient, courteous, empathetic. After listening to my description of the Furnace’s issues, he examined it, explained possible causes and then spoke with the manufacturer to glean more insights regarding the most logical way forward. He explained these to me and provided me with a recommendation for a plan of action. I agreed that it was the best way forward. The furnace is not yet fixed but i was very pleased with the level of service from the personal to the professional that Paul provided.

I was referred to Greenwood heating from my son who is a fireman, and I was not disappointed with their service.
David arrived on time, he was very personable, very knowledgeable and very helpful answering all my questions. I’m a senior citizen and I found David very honest and not high pressure sales as I had anticipated. After servicing my system, he explained everything to me, he even assisted me changing my filter because this was a new system to me. He showed me “inside the box” and made me feel very comfortable.
My system is functioning more efficiently now, and he gave me some tips to ensure that. I look forward to his return next year and making sure my system is still continuing to function properly and efficiently.
I highly recommend Greenwood heating and I already have to my neighbors and friends.

Wow Thank you Greenwood, shout out to Lake Stevens ( The employee, not the town ). I never thought a maintenance visit would be so fun! Lake was professional, super enthusiastic , and I can tell he really loves what he does :) He taught my partner and I everything we needed to know about our furnace. Might I say he was very thorough, and made sure we knew what was going on with the pictures he showed us, and explained all in detail. We have never had someone take the time or care enough to do that. Not only do we have a new maintenance guy now with Greenwood, but a new friend :) thank you Lake, and everything you did for us. 10/10

Excellent! Summar from Greenwood provided excellent service. She repaired an inline hot water heater for us and switched out a few angle stops. She was super knowledgable, skilled and the most EFFICIENT plumber we have ever worked with. A huge bonus that I don't see with very many professional service people was her clear and concise explanation of both the problem/issue and then everything she was doing to fix it. She also performed a whole house plumbing inspection for us, which helped us understand what was working and where we might have issues in the future. Have a plumbing problem - call Greenwood .... Greenwood advised me by postcard that it was time to have our furnace checked. I got an immediate appointment, and Chris McClure was prompt, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, quick, and clean. It was an excellent experience. My husband is out of commission to handle these things, and although I wish I had more understanding of how they work, I felt that Chris was willing and able to explain things and advise me. We recently had our system maintenance completed, and Lake Stevens was one of the best technicians we’ve had. He was incredibly thorough, kind, and professional throughout the visit. He didn’t pressure a upsell and gave us exactly what we needed, which I very much appreciated! Thanks to him, this was one of our best experiences with Greenwood. Don Page came out to do our annual furnace maintenance. He is very professional and friendly and did an excellent and a very complete service checkup. He even removed his shoes to come inside the house to check the thermostat. We have been very impressed over the years with Greenwood and would highly recommend this company!!

I always do my HVAC maintenance with Greenwood and every time I’ve had very professional and friendly experiences. Today Lake Stevens performed my maintenance I could not be happier. He was very thorough and detailed about the whole process. He is very friendly and was liked by everyone at home, even our dogs!

Lake was extremely thorough in his process with my gas heater. He took many photos of the parts involved and of all the testing he did as well as the results. He also checked inside my home for any indications of CO2 at each vent in my home. He was attentive and conscientious. He also was able to get me a refund for some work I ordered as there process did not involve very much labor.
I highly recommend this company despite their higher costs .. I believe ultimately their service saves money down the line.

We had a technician named Lake Stevens from greenwood do our maintenance on our furnace, and we couldn’t be more pleased. Lake was so personable, professional and thorough. He walked us through his work, and answered any questions we had. His personality, and customer service was hands down phenomenal. I have to say, best experience and visit we’ve had in a while from any company. Ask for lake stevens for your yearly maintenance, won’t regret it.

My boyfriend and I had our mini splits done recently by Lake Stevens. Not only was he fun and super friendly, He was very knowledgeable, funny and helpful. By the end he felt like family. I’m so impressed by the techs Greenwood has to offer! If these are the kind of people that Greenwood hires... Then we are with Greenwood for life! We had an unexpected heating system malfunction during the weekend. Called Greenwood Heating and received prompt and professional followup call. They scheduled service on Sunday afternoon. Brandon called to let us know he was on his way. He arrived on time, he is very polite and professional, checked everything, identified the issue and gave us choices to fix the issue and quotes with good information to decide what we wanted to do. He took photos and documented everything, sent the quote for approval and the fix was promptly scheduled. Brandon and Thomas arrived on time and started working right away. Work was done professionally and they left everything clean and heating system working. Very happy with the service, the price was adequate for the fix and we are thankful for the prompt service since it is getting cold. Keep up the good work!

Great estimate process. Sergio was very knowledgeable and educated us on the options. Communication were very good related to paperwork turn around & notifications on their team arrivals. The team was right on time to the what was scheduled. Finally, the install team also knowledgeable and pleasant. Bonus: they were able to do a next day install on a Saturday in deep winter. Highly recommend the Greenwood team!

Erik and Jo did an amazing job at replacing our old heater and heat pump. The original installation was done by a contractor that worked for a big membership store, it was undersized and poorly installed so dust was leaking into the system. Being undersized caused the compressor to work harder than it should so it failed twice and never was able to keep the house at a comfortable temperature. This last time it would be $9000 to make all the repairs. After getting a quote for a complete replacement that was sized correctly from John at Greenwood we decided to go for the new system so we didn’t have to worry about repairing the existing system and having it fail again. Erik and Jo came out in a few days, removed the old unit and installed the new one. They worked steady and kept us updated and asked questions as to what we wanted done differently from the old installation and made it a cleaner and better installation. They were both very knowledgeable and friendly, no corners were cut to get the job done faster just did the right thing. Everything was sealed up real good so the dust had no way to get in and I could tell they took pride in their work and wanted to do a nice looking job, it was better than I expected as dealing with many HVAC companies in the area was a very unpleasant experience. When they were finished Erik walked me through the installation and explained how to use the new thermostat and answered all my questions. When they left everything was cleaned as if they were never there. All and all we were completely satisfied with the repair visit from Felix and everyone else on the installation to get the job completed in one day. I would highly recommend Greenwood for your HVAC needs.

Excellent follow up service on on our furnace install. It was easy to get next day service scheduled for a non urgent noise issue. Sam came promptly on time and diagnosed the problem quickly and accurately. He replaced the filer, which was clogged sooner than expected, which fixed the noise issue. He was nice to talk to and work with. He and all the staff I’ve dealt with have been very good and professional.
