I highly recommend Gibson’s ... we have a large landscaping project we are doing at our home and stopped in to look at their hardscape materials, having been to their nursery previously. They have a huge selection to choose from and we were greeted immediately by Rob Perkins, who was really helpful and knowledgeable (as well as just being a really nice person). Rob walked us around, answered all of our questions and also made some really helpful suggestions. He also is a great source for referrals to subs who can perform work, which is great for us, as we’ve only lived here a couple of years. Thanks to Rob and Gibson’s! They provide great products as well as top-notch customer service - we will definitely be purchasing from them for our project!

If you need help landscaping your home, do not go here. I am new to the area with a newly built house which needs landscaping. I arrived early Saturday morning. There were 2 gentlemen scrolling on their phones when I entered. No other customers. I explained my situation and asked if they could make any suggestions as to what to plant. They made no suggestions but handed me a card of someone that does design work. I imagine it will cost me thousands to landscape my new home. This business must be so successful they don’t need new customers. Don’t go here if you have questions or need suggestions. They don’t have time for you as their phones are more important.

Had a delivery for these guys yesterday. They were awesome! Not only did they get ALL those beautiful plants off my trailer in a timely manner...they even washed out all the dirt and mess that was left over from hundreds of plants. Great employees. Kind and very friendly! Willing to go the extra mile to make their delivery drivers happy! If I could give them 10 stars... I'd do it in a heartbeat. It's rough out here right now and they absolutely made my troubles worth while on this load. Thank you Gibson's Nursery for all your help and support.
Satisfied driver.

Stopped by today hoping to scope out some smaller-sized trees. The guy at the desk in the store nodded at me as I entered the nursery. I saw the resident dog resting in the store and walked in to pet him. The guy at the desk never asked if he could help me. Outside, there was one woman watering plants. There were several men running tractors, moving plants around and off-loading a flat bed. I asked one of the men on a tractor how to tell which plants were sold and he advised me, but there was no offer of assistance. I wandered the nursery for about 25 minutes and no one approached me. They had an amazing selection of EVERYTHING and their plants were all in nice condition. Prices were sky high compared to other nearby nurseries (for trees of the same size). I have been shopping around for the past few days. It was nice to scope out their supply, but I didn't feel attended to (or even noticed, for that matter) and I didn't feel like hunting down someone to help me. To be honest, I wouldn't pay what they were asking anyway. I would rate them 1 star for customer service, 5 stars for selection and quality, and 1-2 stars for the high prices.

I really like this nursery. Good plants. Knowledgeable, friendly staff.

Decent prices. Perennials were overly dry for mid morning. No sales

If you want great, friendly service, fair and competitive Prices, and quality products, Gibson's is where you need to go for all your landscape/HARDSCAPE needs. -
It was hard to decide how many stars to give Gibson's. While I do love their selection, their prices tend to be on the higher side (which I've been willing to pay for some less common trees and shrubs), and my most recent experience with them was exceedingly disappointing.
I have purchased a total of six Subalpine fir trees from Gibson's in the past two years. I'd purchased five originally, but after a buck in rut got ahold of one of them last Fall before I was able to install wire around it, I purchased a sixth one as a replacement this past Spring.
None of the firs available in May looked outstanding, but I picked one that was close to the size I need and looked healthier than some of the others. Because it was ~8ft tall, I left it outside but in plain view of the counter when I went in to pay. As I was checking out, I asked about some yellowing on the lower branches and needles. The guy behind the counter didn't even make the effort to go outside and look at the tree, he simply advised me to fertilize it using "anything where the numbers are all the same" and said it would be fine.
I did as he suggested. Within a few weeks, the tree was looking worse. So I called an arborist to come take a look. The arborist diagnosed a spider mite infestation - not something treatable with fertilizer. And in fact, it's not advisable at all to fertilize stressed trees.
I called Gibson's and asked to speak to the manager, mostly just to let them know what happened (so that it hopefully wouldn't happen again). I didn't ask for anything. The person I spoke with was completely unsympathetic and unapologetic.
A month later, the tree was clearly beyond saving. I also pointed it out to my landscaper, who has a long-standing relationship with Gibson's. He spoke to them and was told that, for him, they'd warranty the tree for 90 days. Well, I found my receipt, and I'd purchased it less than 90 days prior. So I provided that to my landscaper to take to Gibson's. When actually presented with the receipt, they refused to do anything.
We're talking about a $300+ dollar tree that I specifically questioned the health of at purchase (with no real consideration or advice). And the remaining four firs that I purchased originally, the year before, are doing very well, so it's clearly not an issue of poor conditions or care.
If this is the type of customer service that I should expect from Gibson's, I will spend my money elsewhere. I'm sorry to say it, but when a consistent customer has one problem after multiple purchases and you aren't willing to work with them, that speaks very poorly of the business. -
Best trusted nursery around and excellent folks to work with, highly recommend!

Amy was very helpful and so nice. Lovely selection of plants…take you sun hats and good walking shoes because the grounds are quite large

I've been there 3 times this season due to convenience. For items I was looking for, prices and quality were better elsewhere, as was customer service. Employees seemed distracted and stressed each time I was there. Maybe they were just busy or overworked? On a good note, the younger guys that load heavy items in your car, were very efficient, polite and personable.

I just spoke with Gary and he was a huge help! Looking for a specific plant and he helped me by telling me what is in stock and said, they might get in a shipment next week. So glad to know that customer service is still out there!! I got all my backyard plants from them, 20 years ago. Now need to replace some. Thanks Gary for your help!

Worst customer service I have ever experienced! Was told a product I wanted was in stock but when I showed up I was told they didn't have the product - even though I passed pallets and truckloads of it in the parking lot. The employees standing at the counter seemed happy I was taking my business elsewhere. Will never recommend this business to anyone.

Worst and rudest experience I’ve ever had at a nursery. There used to be great knowledge there and now there seems to just be a bunch of underpaid acting annoyed to help people type of kids in there.
-
Great prices and a wide range of trees, flowers, plants, landscaping materials, and more! Such a great vibe!

Needed low maintenance plants for mostly shade and rodent resistant. The staff member I talked with listened to what I was looking for gave me ideas and pointed out some items I liked. We will see how they handle through the year. Really nice expansive place.
My one issue I had was that the staff don't have a uniform. So I ended up accidentally asking someone who didn't work there about a type of plant. He mentioned I was the 4th person that day to do that.
So my suggestion is just a bright colorful t-shirt would be a great help. Green, red yellow would help people recognize works and who to ask for help. -
Beautiful outdoor plant gardens! Well manicured, huge selection!

This place used to be awesome. Friendly/helpful/knowledgeable staff and a wide selection at decent prices. 2 of those things are no longer. Their prices have rocketed up in comparison to other area nurseries and their customer service has taken a tailspin. Last couple times I've spoken to someone on the phone or in person they seemed annoyed by my questions. Not to mention it is laughable that their website contact button ONLY points to calling them on the phone and their Facebook page is empty yet 15 years old!
Their selection is still decent but I've even had trouble with that having bought what was supposed to be a boysenberry and a nectarine turned out to be a raspberry and a peach. -
Wonderful! We bought two Cork Bark Firs and had them delivered and planted today. Brandon was a pleasure to work with and went out of his way to help my husband and I begin the planting process and made sure we were happy with where they were placed. Brandon was very knowledgeable and helpful for what we were were looking for. Brandon also checked in later in the evening to ask if we received our soil, which we also bought from Gibsons. I would highly recommend Gibsons and especially Brandon for any advice. Thank you, and we will for sure be back again.
