Used this company for a panel upgrade and some mechanical system coordination. Scheduling took a bit of back and forth, but once booked they were punctual. The team worked efficiently and kept me informed. Pricing matched the estimate given earlier.

I contacted them after a partial power loss in the house. The team handled the electrical issue carefully and tested everything before leaving. They also checked nearby mechanical systems just to be safe. Pricing matched the initial consultation, no surprises.

We had some trouble with part of our mechanical systems affecting the garage wiring. The electrician took time to trace the source instead of guessing. He cleaned up after the job and tested everything twice before leaving. It’s been working properly since.

I called Tacoma Electric Service to make some safety updates on my 1927 house. Phil did the initial walk through and quote, Brian and Olivia made the updates. All three were fantastic - pricing was fair, they were professional, clean and thorough w/great communication throughout the process. And on top of that just really nice folks. I highly recommend and will not hesitate to hire them again for any upcoming electrical work.

Incredible experience from start to finish. Phil came out and gave honest assessment, saving me money. He was very patient explaining things to me and answering all of my questions. Project was scheduled quickly and Joseph and Olivia did excellent work. They were upfront and honest. I will be using them again for future projects without hesitation.

Phil and his team have been very helpful and pleasant to work with. After an unforeseen issue with a circuit install due to my house configuration, they were able to quickly troubleshoot and ensure the job was complete.

Additionally, Phil was able to complete a same-day house call after an issue with Lowe’s installing a new range. He was able to troubleshoot and get the range working, and provided practical advice on how to communicate the issue to Lowe’s.

He takes pride in his work, explains the technical details if you have questions, and he has very reasonable prices.

Can electrical work be beautiful? Yes. Phil & co do quality work. We could see the craftsmanship and care from Phil’s communication, planning, and execution of our project. He asked us so many questions and offered many suggestions to determine the right set up, things I wouldn’t have thought about. I never leave reviews but he deserves it!

Need electricity fixed or updated? Tacoma Electric Service owned by Phil Peterson is simply fantastic. We lost power to much of our house Nov 27. The first company we contacted not only charged us close to $800 for a walk through test, another $100 for cancelling them. Then their final estiment was $65k+. Phil charged $139 for the walk through and pricing out every thing. The crew he sent in were fabulous, knowledgeable and quick, which isnt easy on our old 117 year old girl. In 7 business days, working around the holidays, it was DONE. With every single lighting fixture replaced. I did buy them myself. I will forever be grateful to them. Bottom line for entire house rewire as well as permit to city and new panel and circuits….$31,500. Booyah!

Phil is a wizard! I lost power to my bathroom years ago, I had other electricians come out and look and they said they couldn't figure it out. Years later I decided to be an adult and call Tacoma Electric Service after hearing nothing but good things about Phil and their work. He figured out the issue and I had power in less than an hour!

Of the three bids that we obtained for a total house rewire, Tacoma Electric Service was one of two that showed up. I was at work for this appointment so my wife handled it. Phil (the owner) was punctual for the bidding walk through. He was thorough and respectful when answering the list of questions she had for him. What really stuck out to her was when he said that he treats every job like it’s his own house.

The work started promptly at 7:30 on a Monday morning. Brian and Liv showed up and they got right to work. Both were mindful with limited impact of our day to day household operations. They were very communicative throughout the week to make sure that we got what we wanted. They’d spend the last hour or so cleaning up any messes, reviewing that day’s work and the plan for the next day with us.

I won’t hesitate calling Tacoma Electric Service for any future electrical needs.

I needed to update my house’s wiring from knob and tube. My house is about 100 years old and has plaster walls and (sometimes) interesting things going on behind those walls. Phill and Liv came out to provide an estimate and did a great job laying out all the options for me. I never felt like I was being upsold or taken advantage of. The bulk of the work was done by Brian and he also did a great job walking me through the day to day updates, again giving me options all along the way. The whole team was really respectful of the house and worked hard to meet my needs. Any more electrical needs and I’m calling Phil at TES!

Phil was great! Needed an EV charger installed in the garage that was very far away from the electrical panel. Phil responded to my inquiry immediately and scheduled a visit in a few days.
