I’ve been buying my plants from here since 2017. My bushes and perennials continue to grow and look beautiful. Staff advises me on what plants will work in full sun and look nice next to existing plants. This is my all time favorite nursery and I love that it’s on the Eastside.

Nice large nursery with a lot of plants to choice from. The price is higher than other nursery in the area but they keep their plants well maintenance.

They had my Black and Blue Sage that our hummers just love!
Also got some unique perennials.

This was my 2nd visit and this is my go to nursery!! The plants I've gotten here have all thrived. On my first trip I got 4 different tomato plants which 3 have produced. This time I got some ground cover for a garden bed full of flowers and an indoor plant w/ a fun pot! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The sections for plants are divided up into about 3 sections. A covered open area, an open uncovered area and an indoor small shop. Will recommend it to everyone and can't wait to return!!

This nursery has a huge selection of plants to choose from. One of the best nurseries in Tacoma. I have been coming here for over 15 years now. The staff is friendly, and extremely helpful. Even over the phone they are very knowledgeable.

Outstanding variety of plants trees and shrubs! I found evergreens for below my window and Kawanzan Cherry trees for the front lawn additionally, I purchased Ranunculus and Philodendron Selloum for the inside is the house. The staff was helpful and smiling, I mean genuinely smiling! They were actually to help you. I will be back to purchase more. Thank you so much.

This is the coolest place to go to buy your trees, bushes, flowers, shrubs and outdoor furniture. They sell many more items than what I've listed. Flower pots galore and many more. It's a beautiful peaceful place to shop and visit. Employees are friendly and knowledgeable! I bought a Phlox flower for my flower bed. It is a healthy vibrant pink flower. All the plants looked great. They have a VERY impressive19 foot tall hedge that's been growing since the 90's. It is quite a site to see. Check them out. You'll be glad you went!

Nice nursery with lots of variety. Including unique plants that are not available at Big Box stores. Pricing not bad considering quality level. They have wagons to put plants on while strolling the lot. Also, they offer umbrellas to use while shopping.

I have been coming to Portland Avenue Nursery for years. They have a great selection of flowers, herbs, grasses, veggies, trees, and more. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I highly recommend them for all your plant needs. The decor is so much fun my son loves it.

This nursery has fast become our favorite! The staff is super helpful and the selection is just perfect. Picked up bulbs today - 10 for $5.99!!
I love how they take care of the plants and their customers. They even have big umbrellas for when you want to wander around in the rain!

5 Star selection and service!!! My sister and I are flipping a home and the landscaper said we had to have the plants and flowers there the next morning. It was 5:40 pm and they close at 6:00 pm. We know nothing about plants.

The employee, Katie, jumped right in to help when we asked her. I showed her photos of the spaces and we grabbed carts and she gave us easy choices and loaded us up! We bought 26 plants in about 15 minutes. That’s impressive and we couldn’t have done it without her!

This place is clean, friendly and has knowledgeable staff. You can’t go wrong! Thank you Katie!

They did a good job didn't leave a mess and gave me a good deal compared to the other bids I got. I was very happy.

Great service and price.

Professional and well skilled! I had 4 stumps removed. 1 was up against a retaining wall and boulder and next to my vegetable garden, the other 3 in a bit of a tough sloped spot in the yard because it was where we needed a retaining wall as well as close to neighbors home. All removed without any damage to anything else and without any other problem!

Highly recommend.

Louis did a great job and extremely responsive and flexible. Needed a last minute mowing and clean up. He and his team were able to come in the next day and take care of our home. I’m so appreciative of the response time and the great work they did. It’s a family owned business and it shows. The number you call is an actual real person who picks up. Nothing negative with my experience. They did great, looking forward working with them more.
