This place is amazing! A wide variety of plants and the staff is sooo very knowledgeable and courteous!! Love it!!

Every single plant that I have bought here has thrived. And, to say the least, I am not a green thumb. Spend a little more to get a healthy plant! Great knowledgeable employees as well.

Sunday 5/25 was my second experience at GardenSphere and sadly I won't be back. The first time, they advertised having what I needed, I called and verified but when I got there 10 minutes later, they were out. Can't be helped and I don't blame the business but provides context. On Sunday, the service was lackluster, at best, which is saying a lot as I already have very low expectations when dealing with anyone in the service industry. I wanted to ask more questions, to purchase more but the 3 staff that worked there were way more interested in throwing food into each other's mouths, ignoring patrons and being highly unprofessional in their dialog to even bother. I'm very new to gardening so have tons of things I need to purchase and learn but I'll spend my dollars and gain knowledge elsewhere. Supporting small and local isn't always what you hope - lesson learned.

This place is an instant favorite. They've got a huge variety of plants, a wall of soil and other supplies, planters and birdseed, all to the tune of background 80's music. I came in for a bag of soil for my snake plant and they kindly re-potted her for me! Meeting Thomas, the store's cat, was the icing on the cake. Definitely planning on coming back here.

What sets this nursery apart from others in Tacoma is their wonderful staff. Super helpful and very knowledgeable. They even delivered our tree at no cost. HIGHLY recommended!

Plants are great quality and they have a lovely variety to choose from.

This nursery and store is exceptional at finding uncommon/rare plants and veggies. You can also buy chickens here too! The staff is amazing, and they respond to text messages promptly. The are through when sending messages over txt. Definitely a high-end quality store. If you want cheap/generic there is always the Walmart & Fred Meyer Garden centers! Other great local shops (of this caliber) are: Jungle Fever Exotics, Wild Thyme Nursery, Portland Ave. Nursery & Watson's garden center. None of the other stores I have listed stock live chickens!

I can’t say enough good things about Gardensphere. The service is top-notch—every time I’ve stopped by, the owners and staff have gone out of their way to help me find exactly what I need, whether it’s a specific plant or advice on care. They’re amazing—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about what they do. The store itself is such a cool spot; it’s well-organized, packed with unique plants and gardening gear, and has this welcoming vibe that makes you want to linger. It’s clear they put a lot of heart into this place. Hands down, one of the best garden shops around—five stars all the way!

This is my favorite plant store in the Tacoma area. The staff here are incredibly kind and very knowledgeable about all of the plants that they sell. I've spent a lot of time here and as a new plant parent, I had a lot of questions. They will personally pot your plant for you that you buy and also recommend the best options for their care. I've come in and shown pictures and talked about where I wanted to place a new plant and was given excellent recommendations. Not to mention that they do have a one year guarantee. Especially in these times, filling your home with plants is calming. Support small businesses that provide excellent service and knowledge!

Not only is this such a fun garden center to visit but it is owned and operated by truly amazing people. They provided the seeds for us to use in seed packets as a remembrance for my dad’s memorial service. He was a frequent visitor of Gardensphere and it made it so special for everyone to be able to take a packet of PNW Native Flower Mix home with them. I love having a place like this in the Proctor district!

Ok this is the best nursery in north Tacoma. Friendly and knowledgeable. Will do delivery service. Great collection of plants that do well here. You can even get chickens here. Well worth visiting.

Beautiful plants but about the most bizarre customer service interaction I’ve ever had. I think the retail fella was offended that I asked him to get the plants down? He sounded really annoyed with our presence and stared with a blank face saying we could go after we paid. Very odd and not sure if we just caught him in a bad mood or if he felt upset by taking down the plants. I’ve never wrote a review before but good lord that was quite an unfriendly customer service interaction.

I took a video of my backyard to Garden Sphere along with my plant needs (drought and deer resistant) and they help me make selections that worked perfectly. Their assistance and knowledge was priceless. They also patiently helped me select a very special tree to plant in memory of my beloved dog.

The store is a gem… I'm clueless with plants and I was in there recently buying a couple succulent plants… The nice employees educated me when I had questions about light and watering… I really love supporting small businesses like this 🩷🌾 🍂 🌿 🪹

I have been buying organic soil for my gardens for year's. I didn't know the the person that has sold me tons of items for year's and he is one of the owners. I totally appreciate 🙏 them serving the communities gardening needs. I will be back again with friends. Love Gardensphere in Tacoma

This is a great neighborhood nursery with a broad selection of plants, flowers, etc. Mostly everything is in healthy condition with signs of having been taken care of. I was impressed with the prices considering the variety and healthiness of the plants. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Certainly the place to go. 👍
