Sarkinen Home Services absurdly over-billed my service. My AC capacitor and fan booster was replaced in just an hour of service and when finished I was charged TWICE that of what I later learned I should have been charged. Paying close to $1000 for this service is twice what it should have been and I am extremely disappointed in their lack of fair pricing and pricing transparency upfront.

Josh and Leighton came out to our house to quote some electrical work and later, came out to perform the work. Both did an excellent job and we're very satisfied with the work performed. The new lights look great and it's nice to have a few new outlets where we need them. We'll use Sarkinen again for our next home renovation projects.

Had these folks out today to replace my heat pump. Sean, Fernando, and Setu did a great job, completing the job in about 7 hours. The new unit was larger than the old, causing problems with the old coolant pipes being too close together, but they overcame that and other issues without a hitch. Good guys and good solid work.

A "preventive" cleaning of my sewer pipe turned into an unexpected repair after the camera used to inspect the pipe got stuck as they were retrieving it. Lucky for me, Alex and Michael (with an assist from Daniel) were able to quickly assess the issue from what they had seen, explain the process for the repair, help me get a little financing to do the job, and schedule the work -- all within a couple of hours. The repair went smoothly, the camera was retrieved, and a final check ensured all was well. I am deeply grateful to the entire team at Sarkinen. Professional group of people and highly recommended!

These folks did wonderful job in short order Alex, Marco and Chris were great to work with. They knew what they were doing and kept us up to date through every phase. Can't say enough good things about them. Worth making the call. Two thumbs up. A++++++++

I've had several really great experiences with Sarkinen for plumbing and AC maintenance. They've been able to get me timely appointments for even non-urgent issues, the person who takes calls and coordinates is so kind and helpful, and the technicians have been super competent and lovely. One time I called to request an appointment for a frustrating AC issue, and the person who took my call said, "Oh hey, just try this --" and it completely fixed the issue. Another time, a plumber came out for an issue I was concerned may be thousands of dollars in repairs, and they fixed it in no time at all and charged me zero dollars. For a business that pays its own bills by making housecalls, I've found them gratifyingly honest about when things are extremely simple on their end and not charging me for it. I recommend them wholeheartedly, and they will continue to be my first call when I have maintenance concerns.

This guy charged me for 2 hrs. work ($375.00 PER HOUR) and I supplied the parts. Beware.

Southerland always does excellent & efficient work for us. Our garbage disposal had to be replaced & was done in a timely manner. Plumbing in our well house had to be replaced (pipes were very old & were leaking) & the work done was excellent, they installed new pipes & "on/off" valves that are much more easier to use. Thank you!

Overpriced! Unprofessional! Wanted to charge $525 (including $45 I paid Lowe's) to cut 1/4 inch from the sides of a 2 ft cabinet to fit my new wall oven. Needless to say, we did it ourselves taking about 20 min! The two gentlemen that provided the estimate felt it necessary to gossip in front of our daughter. Stating I was crazy for wanting to replace my existing wall oven. News flash! My old oven was 30 yo, didn't heat properly and could no longer obtain parts for it! Keep my $45 because I don't want to deal with your company ever again!

Good Morning, One of your employees, Darren Williams, installed a water heater for me last week. I wanted to let you know that I was impressed. He did an excellent job, left no mess, was friendly and courteous and was quick. When I first met him at the door I had some reservations because he seemed so young but boy was I wrong. He really impressed me with his ability and professionalism. You have a good employee there.

I have never experienced such horrific customer service in my life. I purchased a new dishwasher from Lowe's and Lowe's subcontracted the job out to Sutherland for removing old dishwasher and installing new one. Sutherland does not give you any window of when to expect the installer, just 8-5. I told the gentleman on the phone I likely wouldn't be home and he assured me they are licensed and insured so I gave them the code to our key box.
I was walking out the door when the installer walked in. I told him I had to leave. He refused to let me leave saying I had to empty the contents under the sink like I had been instructed. No one told me that. I was very late for my appointment and asked for his assistance. He backed up and said with a very sarcastic attitude that he is not a housekeeper. I threw everything in the kitchen sink and tried to leave. Again he refused to let that happening saying that additional work needed to be done and it would cost $235 and needed immediate payment. At this point I was way beyond angry. I scribbled my debit card number, expiration date and 3 digit code. He still was not allowing me to leave saying I hadn't left him enough information. I threw the paper at him and showed him I had. I was then allowed to leave.
First off, I'm angry that I was charged & 235 for installation. I never would expect additional charges when there already had been a dishwasher there. He told me it wasn't up to code. Hard to believe when the home is only 6 years old. And had to pay labor!! I paid Lowe's extra for the installation... And they charge me labor?
Secondly no window of when to expect them. Are we supposed to wait all day for them?
Third, and most importantly, I have NEVER experienced anybody in customer service so incredibly rude and unhelpful. He should NEVER be allowed to work with customers again. I'm tempted to even got to the Better Business Bureau and report them. I deliberately waited 24 hours to post this so I'd be calmer and collected. I would appreciate an apology by this technician.

Roy and his team worked on my bathroom and several other jobs around my home. It has been 6 months since they finished and I am incredibly pleased with the results and the quality of the work. They will be the first people I call for my next job.

I cannot thank Matt and his team enough for their help with our project. We were having minor electrical issues and had two companies come out to quote the work. Both companies provided extremely expensive estimates, telling us we needed way more work than we could have imagined in order to make our house safe for our family. While trying to figure out how we were going to pay for this, my coworker suggested we call Matt, SO glad we did. Matt came out, walked us through everything, showed us what actually needed to be done and what didn’t, and calmed our fears. I’m confident in the work his team did, and was so glad to learn it was much more affordable than we had expected. Thank you so much Compass Electric! Highly recommend!

I'm very happy with Compass Electric. We got a quote for quite a bit of work on a new home that needed can lights, island plugs, a floor plug, outdoor lights and other small things. The price was reasonable compared to other quotes I received and the three electricians that came out were terrific. Super happy customer here!

Compass assisted me with installing a Starlink on my house. The tech was knowledgeable, courteous and punctual. He was very safety conscious when using the lift to get to the roof. He made sure everything was back the way he found it when the job was done and the area in good shape. Great place to work with.
