Our home has a claustrophobic crawl space, tiny attic, decades of nonsensical remodels from DIYers, and pests. It's a nightmare for contractors who want to nudge our house towards being up to code. Jamie and Ashley did an incredible job despite all that, with good looking wire pulls that required very little cutting into walls and new breakers. The pulls were incredibly difficult, requiring some wires to be pulled through the tight attic, through the low crawlspace, and sometimes both. One particular pull was inaccessible except through the attic first to get the wire to the kitchen and then the crawlspace to get it to the particular corner of the kitchen we needed.

They adapted to surprise challenges and requests we forgot to include with our original bid and were also able to fix some huge annoyances while they were at it. For example, there's a 20 amp breaker in our home that 1/2 of the ground floor is on, they were able to break off our new outlets into their own breakers to carry the load of new appliances. It was a real problem since our fridge, wifi, lights, microwave, and a ton of other outlets were on the same breaker before. As these surprises popped up, Jamie let me know it would increase the total invoice and asked if it was okay before proceeding.

Compass will be my first choice the next time I need some electrical work done on my (difficult) home.

Very nice people from the receptionist to the electrician who came out. I needed my hot-tub hooked up to my house and I loved that they charged per job and not by the hour. Although I know I caught them in their slower time, they came out within one week to get the job done. Very quick and efficient. Their response times were great. Couldn’t be more happy with their services!!

They were amazing with keeping communication while we needed to add extra lights to our bathroom, and were honest and transparent on what needed to be done. They were even able to identify some problem areas we were concerned about, and get them fixed when it came to our electrical wiring. I will be recommending their business to others and continue to use them as I’ve had bad experiences in the past with electricians, but felt completely confident moving forward with all their recommendations.

I've used compass electric a few times since buying my house. Jamie has been a rockstar. They come up with great solutions to complex problems. We ran cat6a ethernet cable all through my 4600 sqr/ft 2 story house, added outlets, replaced fixtures and removed some old ones. Their work is great quality, the staff are friendly. I will continue to hire them for any project that I have.

They did an amazing job on the rewire of my house. They were professional and courteous throughout the entire process. The staff was stellar throughout the process, including explaining any on site modifications to the original plan due to any unforeseen factors that will always come up on a large scale project. Their follow up was wonderful, and I definitely know who I will be going to in the future for any of my electric needs.

The Business Owner, Matt Bay, installed a GFCI dedicated electrical outlet for a sump pump in our crawlspace. He arrived ahead of schedule by half an hour, immediately changed the appointment from estimates only to estimates/installation based on our request, applied for a state permit, and completed the work to a high quality. He also scheduled a virtual inspection with the State of Washington the same day and got it to pass. Matt is a thorough professional and a pleasure to work with. He runs a well managed, ethical business. Kudos for a great job!

We needed to add a 240V plug and a 40A breaker to accomodate a small kiln, which would require rearranging existing breakers, and while we were at it, I wanted to add in a whole-house surge protector. Compass Electric just rocked it from the get-go: terrific communication with text message reminder the day before and the day of (with tracking the vehicle on-the-way) to both me and my partner. When we got the quote, it was right at the end of the discussion - Jeff just added it all up on his phone and gave me the number right then and there, with the office following up with a written quote.

The office - and Jeff - were *incredibly* patient as I hemmed and hawwed about different options (do the living room lighting, what fixtures, maybe I should wait, etc). I must have gone through 5 different scenarios and they were unflaggingly patient with me, for what overall is probably a smaller job for them. They got the inspection set up & had great communication on how & when that would happen as well. Jeff also was forward-thinking and incorporated my "maybe an electric vehicle someday" thinking and sized the wire so it could accomodate a 50A breaker if I need to upgrade in the future. That is amazing customer service!

Compass Electric will absolutely be my FIRST call if I need electrical work done again, and they should be yours too. (the other electrician I called was almost TWICE their quote as well - so great service AND great value!) Thank you very much, Compass Electric!

edited to add: I had a question on whether my permit had been closed out 4 months later when I was looking at the county documents for the house. Within minutes I had a response to my email, a screenshot showing it was finalized, AND a follow up phone call to make sure I didn't have any more questions. Seriously impressive, Compass Electric, thank you!

Compass provided great customer service, excellent work, and fair pricing (no surprises at the end). The project was smooth from start to finish, including permits and inspections. I couldn't be more satisfied.

Matt reworked our panel so we could get enough space for a 50 amp dedicated breaker for an EV charger. It was quick and easy, and I also learned some really helpful information from him about charging my car, and expected battery depletion of my vehicle. I highly recommend.

Jeff and Brice went above and beyond installing my EV charger and 50amp inlet box. They were on time, and super easy to work with. Also, their prices are very reasonable. Keep up the good work!

Ashley showed up on time for a residential repair. She quickly diagnosed and resolved the issue, answered all of my questions and was very enjoyable to work with. I would definitely recommend Compass Electric.
