J’s crew was leaf blowing the 24 hour fitness parking lot today in the rain. When I returned to my car I noticed they blew leaves and mud all over it. Nice.

These guys did a retaining wall in my backyard and did an excellent job. Couldn't believe they completed the wall, put in a bunch of River Rock and the back filled it w dirt and it only took 3 days to complete. Prices were very reasonable.

J's was fantastic in all aspects of their service. Jason was clear and communicative with his estimates and the time to completion (except they over delivered on that!). All of questions we had along the way were timely answered and they were adaptable to our needs. Highly recommended!

We hired J’s Custom Landscaping to transform our backyard in March of 2014. Before we started the project we got bids from multiple landscapers. The reason we picked J’s Custom Landscaping was because the owner, Jay, took the time to really listen to what we wanted to do. We started off the quote with literally everything we would want in our yard, we then customized the request to fit within our budget with getting those most bang for our dollar.

Our project ended up consisting of, two stacked boulder retaining walls (3-4 feet tall), a beautiful waterfall with a small pond, putting in a french drain to help with our soggy weather and drainage from the neighbors uphill, expanding our lawn to double what we had before, new sprinklers and reinstalling our existing gravel path and side French drain due to the need for equipment to get in the backyard. The project was bid to take approximately a week, weather permitting.

Jay’s team did a wonderful job of turning our small backyard full of elevation changes into a larger feeling space we could get out and actually enjoy. Our friends and family who come over are always wowed by how beautiful and functional the space is now.

Recently we had an issue regarding our reinstalled french drain on the side of our yard that caused for water to start pooling in our path and flow under the house. As soon as Jay and his team heard about this they came out, assessed what happened and reinstalled a new french drain. To me it is one thing to make a space look nice, but to stand behind your work three years later is amazing and so appreciated!

I would definitely recommend working with this company to transform your space. They are reasonably priced, hard working, very ethical and stand behind their work. You couldn’t ask for a better landscaping company.

Jay and his team were very easy to work with right from the get-go. He provided us with a clear vision of what our project would look like, offered us ideas, and was clear about pricing which we felt was reasonable. We can't express enough how impressed we are with Nick and his crew who have now done a few major projects for us. Nick was involved every step of the way and super approachable. He really listened to us. And his crew of three were professional and very hard working. They were able to navigate some tricky spots when putting in our pavers and stairs. The experience I had with J's Custom Landscaping, was one that will keep me coming back for more. They hit all the customer focused spots: Responsive, easy to communicate with, listened to my ideas and plans, offered advice, flexible on schedule (which was massive for me as I was building new and the dates for landscaping kept changing based on if the concrete was poured or not), and mostly - they finished the job quickly, efficiently and everything looks great.

When we purchased our home the back yard was a mess, and the HOA wanted the front yard cleaned up immediately. I did the research and based upon my criteria (established company, well designed online website, landscaping work, yard maintenance, regular invoices, online payment) I found J's Custom Landscaping.

They worked with us (remotely) to fit us into their yard maintenance schedule to address the HOA concerns and then worked with us on cleaning up the back yard. They did a wonderful job that has been noticed by our new neighbors.

The most recent job was the removal of three raised planter beds. We initially thought about planting vegetables. As part of the big back yard clean-up, we had drip irrigation put in, and then we put tarps over them so we would not get weeds. But they started to fall apart.

We found rotten wood along the outside, and when J's team removed the dirt, the rotten wood was inside around each of the three planter beds. They removed them, put down commercial grade landscape fabric, and then rock to match the rest of the back yard. The result is that it looks like the planter beds were never there. They also added a frost-free faucet, so we have a place to connect a hose (still on the sprinkler timer) in that corner of the back yard.

We are extremely pleased with the work that J's team did. The price was a bit more than we expected, but it is worth it to get a professional job that exceeds your expectations.

This past summer J’s built a custom covered patio for us. It was a pleasure working with Jay, Greg, Josh and their crew. They took great care in integrating a beautiful addition to our home. Communication was superb and we are very happy with how it turned out!

Js Custom Landscaping has been maintaining our landscaping for quite some time. Their crew does a great job and we couldn't be happier. We recently hired them to add mulch to our landscape and again - top quality product and service!
In addition to the landscaping, we hired Js to build a custom patio with a cover. This was a challenge and Js made sure that the new area matched perfectly with our custom craftsman cedar home! Having lived in FL long ago - I insisted on hurricane resistant construction - and indeed the cover is solid as a rock! We did have one minor issue with the winds coming out of the gorge and Js made sure our concerns were met in a timely and quality matter.
What makes Js different is a local owner who cares about his customers and his crew members! They are indeed a pleasure to work with and they have earned our trust by solid performance!

Our project with J's Custom Landscaping exceeded our expectations. This was our second project with them, our first was a patio under a deck, and both are perfect. The crew was professional and worked through some 90+* temperatures during our project. I explained my vision and they were able to make it a reality with minimal direction. The retaining walls are beautiful and our water feature exceeded our expectations. If we noticed a small flaw they corrected it immediately. They are very easy to work with and when they said they would be coming, they showed up. We are very pleased with the end product and would highly recommend them.

We love our new paver patio! Geoff came out to our a house a couple times before we moved forward and helped us decide on the type of stone and design of the patio. We never felt rushed, or that he was trying to get a sale. Geoff always answered our questions throughout the process. Adolfo, Jose, and Julio were also professional were meticulous but also efficient. They did beautiful quality work and cleaned up every day before leaving. The team takes pride in their work and it shows! They had great communication and were flexible with a couple last minute changes we made. I highly recommend!

J's a Custom Landscaping has transformed our overgrown mess of a yard into a virtual oasis. They had a huge job on their hands. This yard both front and back had been untended for I don't know how long. My husband and I had Jay come out and go over some ideas and requested suggestions and together we came up with a plan. We received a detailed quote. They do have an office to contact if you have any concerns or questions. They also respond in a timely manner to your emails. Many landscapers have no office. As the project moved along they were more than accommodating when we wanted to tweak things in a different direction than originally planned. They always made sure we were satisfied with the work as it progressed. The project included a retaining wall in front and one in the back yard, a new fence in the back, paver paths, big slabs for a patio base, an arborvitae "screen", a complete dig out of existing front yard, with new sod and a curved stone stairway from the street up to our house. Before, guests had to walk up the steep driveway to get to the house so we definitely wanted to add steps. It was a complete outdoor "gut job". We could not be happier with the result. The workers were the hardest working guys we ever saw and the weather was hot hot hot. We would recommend them to anyone thinking of any yard project, big or small, and extremely skilled in customizing a plan to your particular needs or limitations your area may impose. They were simply fantastic! Thank you to Jay, Adolfo, Jose and others for your tireless efforts and for transforming our yard to something we could finally be proud of!

I am having a wedding in my backyard and needed extra space. Victor, Nicholas, and Julio did the incredible back-breaking work of installing my paver patio. They were early to work every single day, and stayed late to finish and barely took breaks. They were kind, with great attitudes, and helped me decide on a few details after the plan was formed. I’m honestly in awe of what they did. Very talented trio! Greg sold me on the job and instantly I knew I could work with him as he was honest, humble, and never raised an eyebrow at the small changes I made along the way. They were very respectful of me as a woman making all the decisions. All of them had incredible attention to detail and though they had plenty of other jobs to do after mine, they did everything to perfection! I would hire them again without question. We hired J's to design and execute the landscaping of our new home. It was a very large and challenging project at approximately one acre on a sloped lot with serious water run-off issues to deal with. Every person we dealt with was a joy to work with and took a personal interest in our project.

Their design incorporated dry creek beds to channel water in an aesthetically pleasing way that matches our taste. We had the largest rain storm we have had in years last night and the dry creek beds did their job!

They also did extensive irrigation, a retaining wall, lawn, bark, dozens of boulders, a walking path, and over 200 trees and shrubs. The whole job took significantly longer than originally anticipated but they stuck to their original bid while accommodating several on-the-fly changes and even threw in a few extras.

This was Phase 1 of 2 and we will definitely hire J's again in the future. I have recommended them to a couple friends and would highly recommend them to you.

Jay and his team were amazing. Our neighbors cut all their trees and Jay and his team came, reviewed and had a plan in mind. His team planted a row of 200+ ft of various evergreen fast growing trees and they are great. During the hot summer he provided the supplies of have them watered by a timer. Great service! Highly recommend Jay and his team.
