Wow! J’s Custom landscaping has helped us in the past with fixing our sprinkler system and revitalizing our (clay soil) lawn and we were very pleased with their work. However, the recent work they did for us blew us away! This past month, we had them tear out both sides of our front lawn and our large tree, and create a brand new landscaped environment, with boulders, a dry riverbed, a new tree, perennials, shrubs and blueberry plants. We are thrilled with the results, which far exceeded our expectations for what we ever imagined our yard could look like. Every time I drive up to my house now, I have to walk around and admire the yard. Within one day of having the job completed, multiple neighbors had stopped by to ask who we had to do the work.

Greg, who managed the project, communicated with us on a daily basis with updates on the project, especially when temperatures reached 105° and adjustments had to be made. He was also flexible on plans for the landscaping, allowing us to incorporate existing plants and also to pick which plants we wanted included in the final landscape design. (I am a plant nerd, so this was important to me!) The crew was hard-working and professional.

Really cannot recommend this company enough.

J’s did an absolutely amazing job redoing our backyard with artificial turf! From the beginning the process was easy and professional. Nick came out and showed us turf samples and gave us a quote before he left our house. Communication was fast and easy. The guys that did the work were very professional and courteous when moving machinery back and forth, they covered the rock pathway from the front to the back to minimize dirt in the rocks, they were very efficient, the job was completed in 3 days. The installers went and above what was asked of them and adjusted our existing sprinklers to get them aimed appropriately and they even installed stepping stones which was not part of the job. They transformed our torn up, mushy backyard into the enjoyable area that we have been dreaming of for a long time! Thank you so much to everyone involved! Highly, highly recommended!

We just had our backyard redone by J's Landscaping. Before it was just a swampy mess of mushy grass that wouldn't drain, even after wasting our money on installing 2 French drains.
Just look at it now! Jay and his team made all the difference. Knowledgeable, courteous, creative, flexible, very reasonable, accommodating, trustworthy, reliable -- all the positive adjectives!! :) We highly HIGHLY recommend their service. (Photos show the yard with the grass removed, and after)

This company is above reproach! We're so excited to see our yard this Spring. It already looks so beautiful. The Team Oscar, Filiberto and Oscar too, were kind and worked so very hard every day. They kept us in the loop the entire projects. Can't wait to work with them on our next projects. Jay was wonderful too! This is a 5 star company for sure.

J’s custom landscaping team did a fabulous job of installing a mini rock border and enhancing landscape along the side walk of our place in Camas, WA. The owner, Mr.Jay Hofer’s approach is hands on, very professional and the project was finished by his skilled team in a timely manner. They take pride and dedication in their craft and were willing to meet our expectations by making requested modifications.

We had help from Greg and his crew. They were awesome to work with. They listened well to what our needs and wants were and helped us design our yard and need for drainage. We felt they really cared about what we were wanting and have been easy to get answers when we needed information about caring for our yard. 2 years later we still love our yard and get so much enjoyment out of the money we spent. We would definitely recommend Greg and J’s landscaping company.

We are very happy with the results of our backyard landscape project. Jason provided a design and his team quickly cleaned our backyard and installed ground cover and plants. All team members were professional and friendly. We are happy that we had J’s Landscape do our project.

I honestly couldn't say enough nice things about the work J's Custom Landscaping did and how easy it was to work with Nick. From the start everything was efficient and he was always available to answer my questions and very flexible when it came to dealing with my indecisiveness over our new patio.

Bonus - the work crew was always kind enough to make sure there was a clear walking path for my parents who live in an ADU behind our main house.

J's Custom Landscaping installed retaining walls, proper drainage, a paved elevated patio, 600 sf. of artificial turf and paved pathways connecting the patio and both houses.

Chris is absolutely amazing! From the moment he arrived, he was patient, attentive, and truly went above and beyond to address every question I had about my sprinkler system. He took the time to explain what he was doing and why, making sure I understood each step of the process. His professionalism and knowledge were evident in everything he did, and it gave me complete confidence that my system was being well cared for.

What really stood out was how thorough he was—he didn’t rush through the job and made sure everything was working perfectly before leaving. It’s rare to find someone who combines expertise with such a kind and approachable attitude, but Chris does exactly that.

We’re planning to remove some trees in the near future, which will require adjustments to our sprinkler setup. There’s no question that we’ll be requesting Chris specifically to come back for those repairs. It’s clear that he takes pride in his work, and we couldn’t be happier with the service he provided.

About a year ago, we envisioned changing our backyard into an entertaining space. We attempted to get several quotes and found ourselves ghosted by several different companies who visited us initially.

After going back to read reviews and talking to friends, we found J's Custom Landscaping. From our initial appointment with Nick, we were thrilled with his attention to detail and referral to landscape architect, Harley Barber who created an amazing initial design.

Nick then worked with us to provide solid cost quotes and we refined the vision into what our budget was. The crews who worked on the project were super friendly, paid attention not to disrupt the front yard landscaping and were just amazing workers in all sorts of winter weather.

Both Nick and Jay (who worked with us on the patio cover) were amazing communicators throughout our project. It was finished on time and on budget and we are super thrilled with all of the work that was completed.

J's Custom Landscape has been an amazing partner in the process of landscaping our new home and property. Even before our house was completed Jay came out and walked the property with us to discuss the vision of what we wanted to do with it and how he could help us.

Throughout the next 12 months that followed, J's has been a one stop shop for us in helping us complete a large number of different projects, and making our vision for the property a reality beyond what we could have imagined on our own. Their ability to take on a very wide breadth of projects was truly a huge value.

Some of the projects they did for me included a gravel/concrete block base for a shed, solving drainage issues, bringing in fill dirt and leveling my yard, planting a new lawn, building a paver patio, installing a water feature, landscape lighting, multiple plantings, building a garden area, installing irrigation and many other small details along the way.

Beyond their extensive experience and wide range of capabilities they were wonderful and highly professional to work with. It was a great experience communicating with Jay throughout the projects before, during and even after each phase. Oscar was a fantastic crew lead to have at our property throughout each project. Details matter, and they did all the little things right without cutting corners. To that end, they have built tremendous trust with me and I will not hesitate to call J's in the future for any of my landscaping needs.

Very responsive and compassionate to my plight of incoming visitors. Dusting was my main concern and the team did a fabulous job! A few things were missed (window track, spots in kitchen,) but they were minimal and I was able to correct myself. Overall the team did a great job and I recommend Octomaids.

The team from Octomaids is amazing! They are fast and thorough, leaving our home exceptionally clean. We have enjoyed their service for several years and continue to be totally pleased.

Our experience with Octomaids was deeply disappointing and fell far below the standards promised during our initial consultation with the owner, Norma, and as outlined on their website. Norma assured us that their routine cleaning services would include wiping door frames, cleaning fronts of cabinets and window sills, dusting all surfaces, and addressing baseboards. Unfortunately, over the course of five cleanings, these tasks were repeatedly neglected, despite our numerous attempts to address the issues with both the cleaners and the office staff.

It is important to note that we did not request any services beyond what was explicitly promised. These were expectations set by Norma during the initial walkthrough and further reinforced by their website's claims. However, Octomaids demonstrated a persistent inability or unwillingness to fulfill these commitments. Instead of addressing our valid concerns, the company chose to terminate our service, citing their inability to meet the expectations they themselves had established.

To make matters worse, after filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, Octomaids attempted to shift the blame onto us, a tactic both unprofessional and dismissive. Their subsequent offer to refund our money contingent upon signing a settlement agreement and removing any negative reviews was not only unethical but indicative of a company more interested in silencing dissatisfied clients than addressing legitimate grievances.

In total we paid over $1500 to discover that Octomaids' business practices were deceptive at best. Their failure to deliver on their promises, combined with their attempts to avoid accountability, reflect poorly on their integrity and professionalism. I caution prospective clients to exercise extreme diligence when considering their services and to be wary of the promises made during their initial consultations.

Our first experience was a deep cleaning and they did an amazing job, cleaning areas that we hadn't even thought to clean before, and organizing parts of our bathroom in a much more efficient way. I did notice some parts of our rug weren't vacuumed as thoroughly as others (some literal loose flakes of dirt still present) and the inside of the oven had grease smears (though still WAY cleaner than before). I'm going to chalk that up to the fact they did such a great job over all and had to start from zero in our house. Looking forward to having them come back to do their regular bi-weekly cleaning.
