Badgerscape built a beautiful brick front walkway and a backyard fire pit/patio for me. Bryan worked with me on this project since last fall, and his great communication style is what sealed the deal for me. He always was quick to respond to any questions or suggestions I had. I am very pleased with the finished project, which was completed in May. Bryan was here with his crew every day until the project was concluded. Before departing, the yard was cleaned up, bare areas seeded, and other areas mulched. I can enthusiastically recommend Badgerscape.

We have had the pleasure to work with Badgerscape for several years both with our landscaping needs, including a large stone patio/fire place addition, and winter snow plow. Bryan and his staff are always friendly, very knowledgeable and easily accessible. We have never been disappointed! We highly recommend Badgerscape for your outdoor needs! We had mulching done, a couple of bushes removed, and a small tree removed. Bryan and his crew did an excellent job! Very happy with BadgerScape. They responded to my initial email very quickly and Bryan was able to come over to give me an estimate soon thereafter. Will definitely work with them again :)

We are so happy with our decision to use Badgerscape for our backyard design and installation. Bryan and his team did an amazing job and we love our new backyard. We initially hired Badgerscape to tackle a pressing issue with one of our retaining walls, which was bleeding into our foundation. Not only did they expertly rebuild the wall, but they also took the initiative to address with us the concerns with the downspout and burying that to help with water drainage. They buried the downspout and built a great patio, going above and beyond our expectations.

Every member of their team displayed a level of professionalism and expertise that left us thoroughly impressed. What truly set them apart was their attention to detail, particularly the thoughtful touch-up they performed on our lawn in areas that had been disrupted during the project. Bryan and Badgerscape were excellent! We had a lot of projects going on and I put off the landscaping however then decided to move forward with it. Bryan fit us in and also got it done ahead of schedule even though he was very busy already. His communication and professionalism were great! We appreciate all he did and it looks GREAT! Bryan and his team were absolutely fantastic, and I will definitely be coming back to them in the future. I had reached out to a few places prior to contacting Badgerscape, hoping to replace the retaining wall surrounding my back patio, which was very long (~60 ft) and falling down because it wasn't installed properly by the previous owner. However, every place would 1) schedule a call first, 2) eventually schedule a visit, 3) wait a while and then send me an estimate for an actually absurd amount, probably because they decided that they just didn't want to do it. The whole process would take weeks just to walk away. I really wish I had contacted Bryan first, because I had asked for a ballpark estimate just to see if it was worth both of our time, and he responded quickly with a number that seemed perfectly reasonable. (I had actually contacted multiple places for a ballpark estimate, but Bryan was the only one that was responsive) Bryan and one of his guys later came on site and checked it out, quickly gave me a proposal, which was around the ballpark estimate, and everything was good. We did need to push back a few months, which wasn't surprising just because it's 2022, but he was able to squeeze the project in just recently, which was awesome; he gave me the option to push back into Spring as the first project on their list to allow the grass to grow back and all that, but I didn't mind either way and it's nice to have it done. The project itself was much bigger than what I had in mind, and it looks SO MUCH BETTER than what I had hoped for. Bryan was great and asked for my input when there were multiple ways to do things (the steps, the corner, etc), but I fully trusted him throughout the process. He also informed me toward the very end that the top step had settled a little bit, which I probably wouldn't have noticed until Spring, but after the snow stopped, he came right back and fixed that up.
Unrelated to the retaining wall, I have an elevated deck that had 4x4 posts that sit *in* the patio. I had asked if switching those out with 6x6 posts was an option that might be doable in the future, and he tackled that right away too - and for a great price! Seriously, I'm 100% satisfied with this whole operation. The whole process was totally transparent, the end results look *beautiful*, and I'm looking forward to the next projects in the future.

Bryan and his crew did an excellent job. Bryan was very responsive to emails and always showed up on time to meet to go over plans and new ideas. The quality of work was fantastic and they cleaned up after themselves. I highly recommend Badger Scape and have made plans to use them again next year for additional work.

We hired BadgerScape Design & Landscape out of Belleville, WI in the summer of 2023 to complete work for us. We waited until now to write this review as we know how harmful negative reviews can be. After waiting several months and discussing with family and friends, it was clear that we should inform others of our experience. If you do decide to hire this company, you have at least been warned that you should watch over their work very carefully.

We had 3 areas of our yard that needed attention. We meet with 4 different contractors to get ideas and bids. BadgerScape Design & Landscape was one of the companies we had bid our project solely due to all the good online reviews. BadgerScape was more expensive than the other companies, but we ended up choosing them to complete our project for two reasons; we were impressed with Bryan and an idea that he presented for one of the areas and more importantly he showed confidence in diverting water away from our house in another area where the grading proved to be problematic. Bryan did have good communication with us up until the time he was ready to start with our project. These are the only positive things we have to offer from our experience. Unfortunately, the rest of our experience with BadgerScape Design & Landscape was nowhere near what was described in the other online reviews. We encountered one problem after another and were not satisfied with the quality of their work.

We reached out to Bryan each time we had a concern. Unfortunately, this added up to be several calls. I am sure he was tired of hearing from us just as much as we were tired of reaching out to him. But when you pay a company thousands of dollars for work to be completed, you expect it to be completed correctly and without supervision. We are not unreasonable people and understand things happen. However, it's how the concerns were addressed and the poor workmanship after the concerns were brought to their attention is what prompted this review. Bryan made it very obvious that he was irritated each time we reach out to him. We often found ourselves apologizing to him in which we never should have been made to feel that we needed to apologize to a contractor for them completing work incorrectly.

Below is just one of several issues that we encountered while working with Bryan.

BadgerScapes was contracted to raise and level the cement slab under our air conditioning condenser. This slab had sunk over time and needed to be leveled out. We agreed to hire an HVAC company to come and remove the air conditioner condenser for the slab to be raised. We paid for this in addition to the contracted amount from BadgerScape's. As you can imagine, this was not cheap. Bryan called us the day before he was going to start the work which caused us to scramble in trying to find a HVAC company that was available on such short notice. When the landscapers completed this work, they did not use the correct base underneath the cement slab. We know this because I overheard them talking about it. One of the landscapers questioned the other and their response was, "she will never know because she won't see it". Once I heard this, I immediately called Bryan (he was not on site) so he could follow up with his crew to install the correct base while the air conditioner condenser was still removed from the pad. Instead of asking them to install the correct base, Bryan told me the base they used "should be fine". I specifically asked if it "will be fine" or "should be fine". Bryan said, " it should be fine" and agreed to give us a warranty that if the cement pad would ever sink or shift in the future that they would fix it free of charge. After all the work was finished that they were contracted to do, we asked for this warranty to be placed in writing before we issued final payment. Much to our surprise, Bryan flat out refused to honor what we had agreed to earlier over the phone!

Contrary to the other reviews, we would never recommend using BadgerScape Design & Landscaping out of Belleville, WI for any of your landscaping needs.

Bryan and his team were fantastic to work with. His design was great, and he incorporated everything we asked for within our budget. His estimated timeline was fairly accurate, and the finished product was outstanding. It was well worth the investment, and we will enjoy our patio for years to come. I would highly recommend Bryan to anyone looking to put in a new backyard patio.

I used Badgerscape to enlarge my current patio and then a second time to dig a French drain across my backyard. Both times his crew provided excellent service at a good price!! Bryan is very professional , prompt and response quickly with calls or emails. Staff is very friendly. I recommended them to two neighbors and they both hired him.

BadgerScape did a great job adding a stone retention wall to the side of our house in a tight space.

We are so glad that we worked with Bryan and the Badgerscape team for our retaining wall and walkway project. Our existing retaining wall was basically falling down and needed to be replaced. We thought that we'd also like to overhaul our front yard but had no design ideas. Bryan got back to us quickly with a great design and quote and took the time to help us pick out materials that we love. He was super accommodating when we decided that we'd also like to add pavers to our off-street parking area in addition to the original retaining wall project. The work was completed even faster than we'd hoped and Bryan was super communicative throughout the whole process. We will definitely continue working with Badgerscape for all of our landscaping needs.

Badgerscape did a great job with our project which consisted of three pages of items to accomplish. Bryan was very prompt with the initial proposal and also conducted a second visit to answer additional questions. Once the project was started, the crew arrived by 8:00am and completed a full days work. The crew was always very polite and friendly and answered any questions we had. Bryan was also very prompt to return calls and texts. Would definitely recommend to others. A great job.

BadgerScape did an excellent job with my yard project. Very helpful with picking out new bushes and trees for my front yard. Excellent work with the planting and mulching. I would definitely recommend them.

BadgerScape exceeded our expectations on a project that included removal of our patio, and landscaping, including water management, in preparation of us putting in a screened in porch and deck. We were very pleased with thier work, and it was on schedule and priced reasonably.
