We have been using Scott Kiel Electric for a few years now and can not say enough good things about them. They are very knowledgeable, reliable, trustworthy and reasonable. They have rewired our lighting. They have replaced underground wiring that had been nicked by a landscaper. They go above and beyond to stop by and try to help out. We are very grateful for them. We highly recommend this business if you are looking for an electrician.

I hired Scott Kiel Electric to upgrade my 100 amp service to 200 amp service, and move the electric meter from inside the garage to an outside wall.

Not only does Scott have the best prices in town, I am certain that he does the best work as well, and provides superior customer service.

While shopping for an electrician it was difficult to get in touch at other companies with the person that does the estimates. I had to play phone tag over the course of more than a week with several other companies; that was not the case with Scott though!

Every time that I have called Scott he immediately answers the phone and he replies right away to any e-mail inquiry. He stopped by the very next day after I called him to do the estimate. Most other companies made me wait a week or more. His estimates stand out too -- not just because his prices are so incredibly competitive, but because of the high level of detail. He detailed literally every single part that would be used on the job and noted the cost of each part. Other companies only gave an overall dollar figure. With Scott I knew exactly where every dime was going.

Just like his website says: you will not find another electrician that you get along so well with. He provides excellent customer service; he is very friendly and knowledgeable.

He completed the entire job in record time. The workmanship is neat and clean, and he made sure to thoroughly clean up the job site.

I highly recommend Scott Kiel Electric to anyone seeking an electrician. My wife and I have several more jobs lined up for Scott on our house.

2021, 3 stars - Great experience with Scott in 2016. 2021 update...tried 7 times over 7 months by email, phone, and talking to an apprentice at a job site nearby to get a hold of Scott to get a quote. No response at all, even if it was just to say he's booked up. Obviously still in business and working during the pandemic. If you're lucky enough to get him to respond, he does good work.

Great experience with a somewhat complicated project. Scott was super responsive and fit us in super quickly. The work was excellent and they did a great job explaining all the potential issues and why they chose the solution they did. Highly recommend.

I definitely need to give a 5 star review for the recent work I had done by Scott Kiel Electric. I first talked to Scott on the phone and he took all my info down and then due to a cancelation he was able to send Nathaniel (master electrician) out to my home the same day! Nathaniel is a great guy ... polite, professional and listened to what I had to say. I had issues with a bathroom vent fan and the duct work from the fan to the outside of my home. Technically it was a 2 professional job ... electrical and HVAC. Nathaniel and Scott discussed what was going on and proceeded from there. Nathaniel was able to to work around the duct work issue to come up with an answer to the problem without having to add an HVAC professional to the mix!

He completed the job in a timely manner and did a tremendous job keeping the work area clean. I highly recommend giving Scott Kiel Electric a call if you need an electrician. They are now permanently in my list of contacts!

We just had Scott Kiel Electric do extensive electrical work in our home. Scott was great to work with setting everything up and answering all questions and coming to the house a couple times for work. Nathaniel, their Master Electrician,, exceeded our expectations. He is extremely knowledgeable and did a very thorough job, including pointing out unforeseen electrical issues without any pressure to fix things as they came up.Great experience with both of them and we will continue working with them for all electrical issues.

We hired Scott Kiel Electric for a kitchen remodel and a panel upgrade. After taking a bunch of quotes, they seemed liked they cared the most about doing a great job and they were actually the most affordable. This, combined with the quality of work that we ended up with have resulted in our highest recommendation. Nathanial found and corrected so many issues that the previous installer (who was either not an electrician or a terrible one) had made. He made sure our house was safe and took the time to show and explain to us clearly any issues that arose. Nathanial is the best and you can tell how much he cares about his work. I think our house had one of the worst electrical situations possible, and I think it would be rare to find other electricians in the state who could have handled the job as expertly as Nathanial and Scott did. Every inspector that came to our house also commented on how nice a job they did!

Nathaniel went above and beyond helping us ensure we had safe ceiling fans installed our home. He even came back after we purchased the wrong one. Very professional and thoughtful. Truly an outstanding experience - would highly recommend!

Great service! Highly recommend seeing Tom when visiting, very knowledgeable.

I tried to recycle and purchase more fluorescent bulbs this morning, but was denied because the counter guy wasn't willing deal with my employer's tax exempt status.

I cannot recommend these guys highly enough - I am not a pro, but Mark, the sales rep I spoke with was super-patient, helped me walk through a variety of product choices, showed me example pieces, and helped me get what I needed.

The BJ in Janesville is excellent, however yesterday I had to go to the BJ in Madison and Tom, the counter rep was awful to work with. I wanted to just walk out, but I was in a time crunch so that wasn’t an option. Definitely will use a different supplier when in the Madison area.
