I live in a four unit condo building. Over the bad winter, the pipe in my attached garage had burst, leaking water into the mudroom/entrance area. This was the first time that I had experienced any kind of property damage, so as you can imagine, this was a very stressful time. Certi-Dry dropped by after hours, and upon request, they also checked out if there was any damage to my neighbor's property. I was very pleased with the high level of professionalism, the accommodations and kindness that Certi-Dry staff (Kandie, Tyrone, Jennifer) had showed me during this entire process. I especially wanted to thank Ricardo and his two other associates, who worked with me during the mitigation. Your insight, professionalism, knowledge and kindness was greatly appreciated. Words cannot begin to describe how thankful I am to you all, this was such a terrible time for me, but what made things easier was knowing that I was in such good hands. Thank you again!

We had our basement flood the day before Thanksgiving and Tyrone and his Team were quick to respond. The process began within hours of finding water in the basement and his entire team was respectful, considerate, and worked diligently to get the issue addressed and under control. We would highly recommend them in the future.

We live in Reedsburg and when we came home from work on a Wednesday afternoon we discovered that during the day our sump pump failed. As a result of this we had about 2 inches of water covering our basement floor. We were able to get our pump running again but were left with a mess to clean up. We contacted our home owners insurance agent to see if they had any suggestions on where we could find someone to help. They recommended Certi-dry. We called them at 4:30 PM and by 7:00 PM they were at our house. Within minutes they were sucking up water and cleaning things up. Over the course of the next two days they cleaned and dried the basement . I would highly recommend Certi-dry to anyone requiring this type of service. Very professional people and very prompt. Did an excellent job in cleaning up our mess and following up to make sure were satisfied.

Jim and his team did an outstanding job drying the water damage within my condo. They are very professional and easy to work with and will take the time to explain everything that they are doing and they have a lot of experience. Highly recommend Jim and this company!

A baseboard heating installation person inadvertently put a screw through the water line, causing water damage to floor and walls. Certi-Dry came to the rescue. They were AWESOME! They arrived ASAP to address the situation. Their employees were informed, knowledgeable, respectful, and did everything they said they would. Dave Meyer, Rick, Conner and others - THANK YOU!! This was my first experience with Certi-Dry and I would call again in a heartbeat!

Tyrone and his crew from certi-dry came when our basement flooded during the horrible rains 8/17/2018. They worked hard to get the job done considering the all flooding in surrounding area's. Certi-dry did a great job getting our basement clean, and they were very informative on what future measures we can take to prevent this from happening, and having proper coverage going forward. Thank you Certi-dry!! We appreciate all your hard work!

I would give this company 0 stars if it weren’t for the amazing crew members that came out ande cleaned everything out, but the management team let us down in more ways than one. We hired Certi-dry after a moderate sewage backup that took out most of our finished basement. They were very responsive initially and had a crew come out right away to help with sewage mitigation. They removed the sewage and removed floorboards and parts of the wall-as well as kept all our personal items clean and protected. They then sent the owner out to our home who I then felt talked down to me and preyed on my lack of knowledge and frankly, my being a woman. Asking about how much insurance would cover and saying it would all be fine when said and done, not the case. I had a pretty darn reasonable amount of coverage, but at the end of the day the amount for cleanup for my half finished basement was 2.5x what they quoted me. They insisted they be there when the insurance walkthrough was happening-it seems to squeeze anything they could out of my insurance policy. When it came to getting the invoice for the Mitigation costs I kept getting excuses for why it wasn’t ready. Fast forward 3 months and I had been bounced around everyone possible with promises of call backs to no avail. It wasn’t until I called once per day for a straight week that they made any movement. Promises for the invoice on the next business day was deemed fruitless. Again I had to BADGER them for the first part of the invoice and when it finally came through, I was given an entirely different customers invoice with PERSONAL identifying information sent to my inbox. Who knows who has MY personal info after this?! I received the correct invoice and this completely drained my insurance coverage, which was supposed to cover mitigation AND rebuild. Needless to say I did not use them for the rebuild and am now out any money to use to rebuild my basement. The invoice line by line is absolutely insane, $2000 for two fans for two days?!? And the fact that I had to waste my time calling multiple times a week for 3 whole months trying to get a mitigation invoice, ridiculous. Thank you to the workers who did a great job cleaning, but management needs a serious overhaul, up to the owner. They’ll take your money and run and expose your personal information. Look elsewhere.

EDIT: they’re claiming they reached out to me for 4 months regarding insurance issues not covering the work done, that was not the case. I received two texts, two emails, all within one week, and they were all in response to this review-not proactively before there was an issue on their company publicly. The insurance covered the mitigation in full no issues. Yet again not telling the truth.

Tyrone and his team were amazing! When I had water in my basement along with many others due to extreme rain, Tyrone showed up on short notice well after his work day should have been over. He got his team there promptly, and they did a lot of difficult work professionally and smoothly. The crew leader Ricardo found some water and mold damage away from the area they were addressing, on his own initiative, and offered a solution that could be addressed without extra cost for me or additional site trips for them. Tyrone promptly and happily addressed questions from me throughout, even when I woke him up once with an early phone call! It could've been a miserable experience--water and mold ruining a finished basement. YUK. Instead, it renewed my faith in the caring of people for others, and allowed me to witness excellence and pride in a job well done. Hats off to that great team!

Amazing service. We had a city-sewer backup that flooded our entire basement. They were there the same day and spend the next four cleaning up the house. They were up front with the work being done and costs. I was able to talk to the job manager daily to review the costs and make sure there wouldn't be any surprises. After the job when the final bill was totaled it ended up being more than the estimates we had discussed and unprompted by me Certi-Dry only billed for the discussed estimate. It isn't often you find a company with such good service and honesty. Especially when dealing with a stressful situation like a flooded basement.

I cannot say enough great things about Certi-Dry. Every single person we worked with were professional, cheerful and a pleasure to deal with. We chose them due to the views and are completely satisfied.
A special shout out to Eric and his crew. He was so personable and his crew seemed to all work great together. Thank you Certi-Dry for turning a horrible experience totally around for us. Five stars plus!

After a sewage back-up, Certi-Dry (Ricardo Chavarria + Eric & Anna) got out to my home within a couple of hours on a Sunday eve and took care of the immediate mitigation needs (carpet removal, floor cleaning and sanitizing) that evening, as well as further remediation (drywall & vinyl removal) in the next 3-4 days. Thanks to their promptness there never was one whiff of any odor. Certi-Dry also did the rebuild and were terrific, although it was 5 months before it all was completed (due to an insurance adjuster who was not helpful and tried to treat the damage as water intrusion only rather than sewage). I am very grateful to Marco for his thorough management of the rebuild team. Marco gets 5 gold stars for sure, and David was a superb worker under Marco. Dave Meyer, the business owner, is easy to work with and was extremely helpful in advocating for me with the insurance adjuster.

A clogged pipe caused minor flooding and sewage backup in our basement, and as a storage area, the basement was full of our belongings. The Certi-Dry crew was out first thing the next morning and did a thorough job cleaning everything. Almost nothing needed to be thrown away. The best part was the speed with which the crew worked, and their professional manner. Every process was explained, and the materials they used were non-toxic to our pets. We highly recommend their services.

One late night I walked into the basement to find water everywhere. My wife and I googled quick and found a 24/7 service that had great reviews. Certi-Dry!!! They did not disappoint. Ethyn and Moises came out and worked from midnight to 4am removing all of the water. The following day another team came to remove carpet and check water damage of the walls. Everyone I worked with was prompt and provided the knowledge needed to fix the nightmare for us. I wish I could provide more than 5 stars. Thank you so very much!

I hired Certi-Dry for water remediation caused by a flood related to a spontaneous crack in an upstairs bathroom. They were prompt in coming over to begin the job and spent three days working in my house before leaving dehumidifiers on over the weekend. They had set up sensors to monitor the temperatures and humidity levels over the weekend but failed to check them. I came over to my house on a whim to check on it, and I found that the house had been heated to over 130 degrees on the bottom floor and 140 degrees on the top floor. The tech in charge told me that he was at a cookout drinking with friends and forgot to check the sensors. This overheating exploded wine bottles, cleaning supplies, and cosmetics and caused tens of thousands of dollars of additional damage to furniture, caulk, paint, and other personal items.

Certi-Dry assured me that they would fully repair the damage they caused and replace all of the damaged items on numerous calls and in numerous emails. That was until they realized how much damage they’d caused and how expensive the repairs would be. It is now 10 weeks since the initial damage caused by the flood and 9 weeks since Certi-Dry damaged my home because of their negligence, and Certi-Dry (specifically Tyrone and the owner Dave) are refusing to give me a timeline about when they will complete repairs or replace items. I’m still living in a semi-functional and damaged home and I’ve had to pay thousands of dollars out of pocket to replace items they damaged.

Be very wary of working with this company. They are negligent and refuse to follow through on promises to fully repair and replace the damage.

I found some mold underneath a piece of trim in my basement. I called Certi-dry and they had someone inspect the mold and surrounding areas and gave me a quote in the same day. The price was cheaper than the competitors and I paid them to remove the mold. A few months later I added drain tile to my basement and the company I used showed me that I had some mold behind some drywall. I contacted Certi-dry and they came out to inspect it. They completed the mold clean up free of charge, which I was shocked. I had a great experience/customer service working with Certi-dry. I would recommend them to anyone.

Called Certi-dry in the later afternoon due to a backup in our basement (had backup already taken care of) and they sent someone out right away to check it out. The person who showed up that day was very professional and helpful. We determined that no further damage would occur if we waited to morning to get started on the dry out. A crew showed up first thing in the morning and tore out the walls, carpet and anything that was wet and started the dry out process. Meet with a project manager who was very good and got the new flooring and paint ordered, project went smoothly and the process was great. I would for sure recommend Certi-dry as they took care of everything from the dry out, cleanup process to having the walls fixed, new flooring in our bathroom replaced, new carpet installed, and all the walls painted. They worked with our insurance company to take care of everything and we were very pleased with their work.

The team at Certi-Dry was incredibly helpful in March 2020 and again March 2021. We had a flooded basement at the start of the pandemic and thought we were in trouble! The Lead Tech was so friendly, informative and very specifically communicated the plan and cost. He and the office team helped me with the homeowner's insurance as well. All of the techs were friendly, professional, timely and followed through on exactly what they said they were going to do. COVID protocols were followed. We even got a thank you card in the mail! A very nice touch! We will certainly use Cert-Dry again and are so appreciative of the friendly and professional nature! :) Thank you!

I am not one who normally leaves reviews, but these guys went above and beyond! I had these 2 guys painting my house outside (they are not professionals, they are morons) and they used the deep sink in my basement and forgot to turn the water off... on full blast... with rags blocking the drain ... for 40 minutes! 95% of the basement was covered in 4 inches of water, and I was freaking out! I remembered Certi-dry from when a restaurant I worked at had a fire and they had come and cleaned up and everything, so I called them and could not have been more satisfied. They had a crew out to my house outside of Madison in under 30 minutes. They were real professional and got straight to work immediately taking pictures for the insurance company than began cleaning up everything and drying the basement out. It took the crew only about an hour to get all this done. They left fans and some other equipment so the basement could continue to dry and prevent mold from growing (something I hadn't considered). They were able to talk me through not only what exactly they did and why, but are proving to be an excellent help with insurance as well. If I ever run into an issue like this one again I won't hesitate to give them a call.

We found our basement flooded at 8pm on a weeknight and Tyrone sent James and his team to our house within an hour. They stayed for three hours pumping out what they could and starting the drying process. Him and his staff were courteous, hard working and prompt. There's no doubt they saved our house from thousands more in damages.

We also used CertiDry's sister company, Crown Flooring, to repair and replace the damaged items in our basement. We worked with Brian from Crown Flooring who drove 45 minutes outside of Madison to meet me on my lunch hour to show me options for flooring. This type of service was common throughout the repair process and within 1.5 months, they had our basement looking better than it originally did.

Last but not least, Dave Meyer, the owner of CertiDry personally stepped up when battling with our insurance agency for obtaining the payments. We were in the middle of selling a house and American Family Insurance was stalling out our payment. To speed the process up for the CUSTOMER, Dave conceded to AmFam to make sure we were paid on time. His loyalty to us was very impressive and putting the people over profit is something that should be recognized and rewarded. So, to say the least, I give CertiDry my highest recommendation. If you're looking for a company that will treat you well and perform high quality work, choose Dave Meyer and his team at CertiDry. Thank you Tyrone, James, Brian, Brian (at Crown) and Dave.

After a tree fell on our house and went through our roof and ceiling during the bad storms, we immediately reached out to a water restoration company we had used in the past. We left multiple messages explaining our emergency situation but never heard back (and still haven't, over a week later). So I did a google search and I am so thankful I chose to call Certi-dry! I was immediately impressed with how the receptionist seemed genuinely concerned and sympathetic to our situation and someone was here to assess the damage within a couple of hours of that call. The restoration part is now complete and the work Jim and his team did was great. We are currently waiting to hear from the team that comes out to rebuild everything but I have no doubt that they will do just as good of a job! I hope we never need these types of services again but if we do, I know who to call! I highly recommend Certi-dry!

Certi-Dry is absolutely fantastic and will now always recommend them for any water restoration projects. They made the entire ordeal significantly less stressful and were kind enough to work around my winter holiday schedule/vacation time during the pandemic. Working with Tyrone for the water damage clean-up along with Dave and Marco for the restoration was incredibly easy and they helped me every step of the way, including navigating State Farm and finding the EXACT right planks needed to repair my Brazilian Redwood floors to look as good as new!
