JK Contractors did an excellent job with our new roof , gutters, and Hardie siding. The work crews were courteous, good tradesmen, and left our property immaculate. We received a lot of compliments about how nice our house looks, and the speed and efficiency of the crews. They were also very well supervised. We waited 15 months until JK was available, and I'm glad that we were patient. It was worth the wait. JK Contractors is head and shoulders above their competition. Excellent!

We were not familiar with JK Contractors until this summer when we saw them do a roof on a home on our street. The roof was completed in one day with a great crew. We met with Jeff who went all around our house and even looked into the attic to see our insulation. We were impressed with his thorough proposal for the roof and because we felt so comfortable that he would do a great job, were decided to replace our siding as well. And as long as we were making our house maintenance free, we asked him to redo our decks. Jeff has a team of craftsmen who really care about their work. We were amazed at all they did. They created a beautiful pillar for our porch and designed a decorative post for the front of our house. They worked hard even in the hottest days of this summer. They are a crew who are knowledgeable , friendly and professional. The roof, insulation, soffits, rain gutters, siding, downspouts, and the decks were completed in 8 days.They did a fantastic job!! There many features we were not expecting which added so much to the appearance of the house. The work they did really far exceeded our expectations!!Jeff and his crew went above and beyond! We love our "new house"> We have received so many compliments about how beautiful our house looks. We highly recommend JKContractors!!!

We had a fantastic experience with JK contractors. Jeff and crew are knowledgeable, honest, and reasonably priced. We had full a roof tear off and replace and all new gutters installed. We received quality product and installation,; both of which are backed by substantial warranties. Communication with Jeff was fantastic both before and during the project. The crew was hardworking, pleasant, conscientious around the landscaping, and the clean up was absolutely impressive. We are so glad with went with JK after talking with another "roofing" company that was more concerned with insurance checks than with providing us with a quality product/install. We highly recommend JK and will be using them again for siding in the future. Thank you!

From beginning to end working with JK Contractors was exceptional! Jeff and his son's, Mitchell and Spencer are incredibly knowledgeable and have an extreme sense of pride in their work. They take the time to stay educated on the materials they use to ensure the job is done correctly and to perfection. Their attention to detail was so greatly appreciated. They completed all aspects of the job with meticulous care, from the start of the job through clean-up. They tore off our old aluminum siding, gutters, facia and soffits and replaced with LP siding, new gutters, facia and soffits. Their crew was wonderful to work with and we cannot recommend them enough!

JK Contractors is the worst contractor we ever hired. They were paid to replace our roof, INCLUDING all the OSB wood sheeting because of extensive mold. They tried to leave the worse part of the roof unchanged, and when I finally argued by phone with the owner Jeff he said it would do it on the remainder of the roof but wouldn't go back and replace the large section already neglected and shingled (and still covered in black mold). There was other very poor work done (installed fewer vents than we paid for, and very very poor spraying of mold killer they were paid to do. (which now had spread to the new sheeting from that lumber holding the roof up) We had to pay NARI $1,500 to take Jeff to arbitration. We settled before that before it got to the arbitrator. JC Cont. was forced to come back and remedy these and could not even do that right!! Jeff himself was here. He put in additional vents, but he never cut the hole if the roof for the vents! I believe that was a malicious act. Today, the roof has re-grown the mold. What a horrible experience. Really.... you can do better, avoid them like the plague!

Fantastic experience having new siding installed. The crew was very professional and worked so hard - most days they didn’t leave until dark and the first week they worked 11 hours days Monday thru Saturday!! The house looks beautiful. Highly recommend JK Contractors.

This is a great company! They did our entire house - roof - siding - soffits - gutters. It looks amazing! The attention to detail the by the team working on our house was impressive! I would highly recommend them if you need any exterior work on your home!

JK Contractors delivers fantastic service and quality results! Our house received a complete update with siding, roofing, fascia, soffit and gutters. Mitchell worked with us and talked about our project as passionately as it was his own. His eye for the details that go into a project such as this are excellent and we were lucky to have him work on our house. The whole team at JK worked hard on our home and we could not be happier with how it turned out!

JK Contractors just put a new roof and gutters on our home. They were very responsive to all of our questions. They got us on their calendar quickly and I was blown away by how quickly they completed the job. They didn't bat an eye when unexpected rot was discovered where our old gutters had failed. Our property was clean when they left. We had follow up questions after the job was complete and they immediately got back to us. I highly recommend JK Contractors.

WARNING: CAUTION HIRING JK CONTRACTORS

JK Contractors were hired for a comprehensive project including roof replacement due to water leaks, damage, mold, adding vents, replacing insulation and gutters, as well as adding additional structural supports. Initially, Jeff, the contractor, communicated effectively and professionally during the consultation and contract signing phases.

Unfortunately, after the contract was signed and the deposit given, delays in scheduling arose. It took weeks to schedule the actual work, causing inconvenience as arrangements had been made to accommodate the crew’s arrival.

The crew worked quickly but with little regard for property care, trampling the landscaping in the front yard and leaving the skylight covered in debris from the roof tear-off. Post-completion clean-up was subpar, with multiple pieces of shingles, nails, and insulation left strewn around the yard.

During the project, Jeff’s presence was minimal. The crew lead, who struggled with English, made real-time communication challenging, often directing us to contact Jeff via phone for any issues as he was limited in his ability to make decisions. This caused frustration and delays in addressing problems effectively.

Midway through the project, it was discovered that the crew began laying shingles on the old roof without replacing the OSB sheeting as agreed. Despite lengthy arguments, only the untouched half of the roof received the new sheeting.

We paid for mold treatment and insulation, but the crew failed to replace some of the old insulation, leading to the discovery of black mold remaining underneath. Continuous calls to Jeff during the project's duration were draining and time-consuming, highlighting a significant oversight and lack of thoroughness.

Additional ventilation installation to the bathroom was poorly executed. Long nails blocked the fan motor, rendering it inoperable. Furthermore, a metal sheet left over the fan prevented air from venting properly. After persistent disputes, Jeff returned to fix the issues, but the fan motor remained dead, which we had to replace ourselves.

The shingle installation, especially at the corners, was poorly done, indicating a lack of attention to detail and craftsmanship.

Based on our experience, we strongly urge potential customers to be cautious when considering JK Contractors. Despite initial good communication, the project was marred by delays, poor workmanship, communication challenges, and substandard practices. The constant supervision required and the need for follow-up on various issues were exhausting and unprofessional.

All work was paid in full but I will never recommend JK Contractors to anyone. Photos were taken of all of the issues noted above when they occurred.

JK Contractors were professional for the beginning to the end. I highly recommend them. They did my roof and excised my expectations. They were very clean and fast. I couldn’t even tell they were here when they completed the job.

It’s been 1 year since JK contractors completed our siding and windows and we are extremely satisfied with the outcome. Jeff is not an insurance storm chaser looking for easy insurance money, he is a craftsman who has perfected his craft. He came in quick (when we were having troubles with a different contractor) and gave us an old school hand written estimate. Just a short time later (after they had all the materials) they came in and completed the job within two weeks. Awesome crew and awesome work! Thanks again Jeff!

We hired JK Contractors to replace the siding and gutters on our home. The crews that did the work did a great job. They were professional and have a great work ethic. The communication and any questions for the office and Jeff were always answered promptly. You won’t be disappointed!!!

JK Contractors were hired to replace our roof. We were able to get a quote and a start date established quickly which was great since the roof of our house we had just bought was in bad shape. They not only replaced our roof but also ended up replacing our gutters as well. They did a great job on both tasks. The crew was able to complete the job in one day and left the property clean and safe. We are incredibly satisfied with their work and will be reaching out in the future for any other repairs we might need. Thanks to Jeff and his team!

Very unprofessional- would not recommend. They did work on my neighbor’s house. While my daughter was napping I heard a ton of yelling in my yard (on the opposite side of the neighbor that was getting work done). I ran to the window to find 10-12 men (JK employees) running around my yard, some no more than 3 feet from my house. I was TERRIFIED not knowing what was going on (a woman alone in the house with her sleeping daughter). I opened the window and yelled for them to get off my property as they had absolutely NO business being there and that they woke my young daughter up. They all just stared at me, slowly walked away and got into their van and pulled off. I immediately called the company who told me “it was just boys being boys”…how unbelievably insulting. Rather than genuinely apologizing for their employees’ inappropriate actions and for terrifying me, I was met with a condescending tone and told “I don’t know what to say, it was just boys being boys” and that “they don’t speak English so they couldn’t understand you”. Disgusting customer service. They should be ashamed.

Very responsive when we called with a roof leak. Professional employees and did a remarkable job in one day. Great job cleaning up after the job was completed.

Jeff and his team are awesome. I met him while he was doing a friend's house who met him.because the contractors doing her house had messed it up. Jeff was an amazing resource the eventually earned her trust as well as that job.
He then did my friends daughters house and then mine.
He is a cool confident partner. I would highly recommend him for any of the services he offers. The work is top notch, great communication, great workmen and workmanship. 10s all around!!!

Do not take the risk - hire another contractor!

JK Contractors destroyed my near new roof when they installed gutters, cracking or tearing every shingle on the roof perimeter, often going up several shingles.

Instead of cutting off the old gutters (per contract) they were torn/ripped off, taking the ice and water shield with them. Many times before and on the day of installation I asked and owner Jeff confirmed absolutely no harm would come to my roof - he lied - repeatedly.

It’s hard for the untrained eye to see, though a roofing contractor and owner of a 41-year company would have recognized it immediately, my roofer confirmed.

He knew, did nothing about it, and a year passed before I noticed - I’ve been living in a now likely water damaged home for a year! I may have been exposed to the mycotoxins from mold - a carcinogen! The house smells like wet wood.

Within just three hours of posting on NextDoor to see if others had similar experiences, three responded with nightmare stories: flooded homes, rotted wood, leaks, water damage, mold - in all those cases as in mine, he never responded to their calls and emails for him to correct a major problem or reimburse for expenses and loss/damages.

I have filed a claim directly with his insurance, Frankenmuth, and recommend others who have similar problems do the same. I am also preparing a lawsuit to file for damages the insurance company doesn’t cover.

Save yourself the time and misery. Find someone else! Perhaps he does better work on occasion, maybe for larger jobs, but several homeowners Had a horrible experience.
