    A lot of the plants outside needed a good soaking. When checking out, my total came to $189 and I told the cashier that was a mistake. She canceled everything and did it over and it came to $119. Make sure you're paying attention. If something is on sale, ask if you were given the discount.

    Nicole* was super helpful. I know nothing about plants but wanted to get a housewarming gift for a friend who has pets and needed a non toxic house plant. Nicole was super helpful in helping us find exactly what we needed and all the extras!

    Stein's needs to implement a blanket policy to verify presumed acts of theft vs customers returning merchandise. I wanted to exchange a bag of seed for a larger bag. When I got to the store I parked next to the outdoor register window, and immediately brought my bag of seed in hand to the associate working there. Stein's can easily verify by checking their cameras and asking the cashier. That cashier directed me to register 1 inside. So I go inside, drop my previously purchased seed near register 1, try to find a bigger bag of seed, realize the bag of dense shade I had was the biggest they offer, then grab a 2nd bag of dense shade. I then take both bags of seed to register 1 and explain to the cashier that I had already purchased one of the bags, and didn't have the receipt with me.

    Does that look suspicious? Sure! But it's better for her to say "I'm sorry I'll need to verify before I can let you go" than to 'whitesplain' to me why I should have a receipt, and why she'll let me go this time, but 'next time' she'll have to question me...

    Like what?! We're all adults here. Either force me to go through the security/verification process or just take my word for it, but I really don't need the patronizing tone.

    3rd year in a row we've bought our Christmas tree at Stein's, might not return now...
    Never had an issue with picking up a few extra trimmings from other peoples' trees to mix with our own and make a wreath out of. Always tip the employees for their extra effort.
    The guy that helped us tonight was SUPER adamant that the company policy has been anti-free trimmings for a couple years now...Because they sell wreath-making supplies.
    I get it, but I wasn't gonna buy any anyway, and it just seems like a really stingy thing for a large company to do.
    Those trimmings were literally already paid for by the people who bought the trees they came from. It's not a loss to Stein's to let people have them for free, it's a nice gesture during the holiday season.
    So, congrats, I guess, on the Scrooge/Grinch policy 🤷🏼‍♀️

    Such a nice nursery! They also have a decent selection of indoor goods & faux plants. The greenhouse is absolutely stacked! This is the first shop I've been to that had plants offered at different sizes & maturities, which is super cool. Would definitely recommend stopping by. 🌿

    Went there on mother's day when they were understandably swamped. An employee named David still took the time to help me find a very specific windchime for my mom, and when he discovered they didn't have any packaged ones left, he sold me the floor model and took a lot of care packaging it up for me. Impressive customer service!

    Stopped in to pick up pre-order at 3:55pmMay 16 ‘25 and person at service counter/register one:
    —Demanded customer name even though cash was paid when ordered;
    —Insisted on name even though e-mail said only receipt was needed for pick up;
    —Told my wife, who came in after I called her to say I had been waiting 5 minutes, nothing helpful, and didn’t bother picking up the phone to check progress;
    —Ignored a display of same item to be picked-up that were on counter.
    Much more, but enough. This person should not be in customer service. Shameful, and quite embarrassing to be subjugated to this.
    Milaeger’s instead. Or a garden plot on the corner, even.

    Stopped in at Stein's today, looking to add a house plant to my collection. I actually found 2. The nursery selection was great, good variety, decent prices.
    As always, the store was clean & organized.
    The staff I talked to were friendly.
    The cashier was terrific, so polite and cheerful. She was such a pleasure to deal with. Bagged up my plants & thanked me for coming.
    Think I'll go back tomorrow, I know there are plants I want to buy.
    Thanks for a pleasurable experience.

    I love this store for its selection and great prices. You can find anything for outdoor living here, as well as a fantastic variety of house plants. My only complaint is that customer service can be slow and some employees come across as if you are a nuisance for asking for help (not all though, but enough it's worth the comment.) I'm sure it comes with the busy season though.

    I bought the world's deadist chrismas tree here on 12/1/2023. Unable to support ornaments after 48 hours, they fell to the floor and became cat toys. Cat sat under tree for 10 minutes and looked like a chia pet

    I loved the Christmas wreaths and decorations that I found at Stein's this year!! They had a great selection of seasonal decor.🎄 🎅

    Best store I've been to all week. Went there to snag a plant for a house warming gift. I was wowed (is that a word?) by all the "stuff" that were perfect 👌 gifts like a towel that had a tongue in cheek message for sisters and a shirt that elevated an old Grandpa. Then a giant werewolf that roared and made me laugh. Wàaaaay too much fun, man.

    For buying a fresh Fraiser Fir it was a pleasant experience. Considering the date 12/19/18
    ..late in the season and mild temperatures, we were the only 2 people tree shopping!
    So we had great service with a surprisingly large selection of trees from which to choose.

    Great Staff, Awesome gardening supplies, plant varieties, nutrients and soils to choose from. Seasons just starting and I got to grab a few bags of soil B4 it's too warm & sunny and the heat started killing off the microbes in my soil. LOTS of diff colored roses that r "Plug&Play" when placed in dirt, get in today Before some of the Rare Colors of Roses are gone. Now I'm waiting for my Alpine Strawberry, Thimbleberry and Rose seeds "POP" so things really get going. Thanks Stein's

    Stopped in for the first time to buy a couple big pots. Didn't realize what a wide variety of things this store has! Kind of like home goods, a nursery, and lowes had a baby. They have pet supplies too, which I didn't expect.

    Wide variety of outdoor and indoor pots to choose from, although their locations are a little confusing. Outdoor non-heavy duty pots are inside near patio stuff. Terra cotta pots are outside on a shelf near patio stuff. Heavy duty outdoor pots are outside on various pallets. Indoor pots are inside in the nursery with all the tropical plants. Prices are reasonable. Friendly service too!

    Very rude and condescending employees , the young workers are great the old ones are so rude and disrespectful it is insane does steins just hire people with zero customer service experience sure seems that way. Maybe try hiring people that want to work instead of the rude lazy folks you got pushed plants around your storefront. I could not imagine that working at steins is that difficult. Neither is customer service. Your company should be ashamed of how your running your business and the trolls that you keep at your gates (I.e. customer service reps and management)

    I have been to Steins over the years. They always seem to be a bit overpriced for the quality. We were looking for patio furniture. Didn't find anything that was a fit or worth the price.

    I have been working with Dan and his company for over 15 years. I use DF for all of all of my investment properties and he is the only tree trimmer I trust to work on my personal home. He is easy to work with, knows his business and trees very well and has fair prices. He is one of the better contractors to work with. I'm glad I have a great tree guy!
