Home Services reviews in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

I love this place. Not once have I had a bad experience. They had my wedding dress cleaned within a week! They're exceptional!
-
MY DAUGHTER HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS BUSINESS! She did not receive the service she was promised...a clean purse and still had to pay an extraordinary amount for nothing! The old man was rude and does not sound like he understands the concept of customer service!

Best dry cleaners in town. Whether it's delicate projects like leathers and special fabrics or every day laundry and dry cleaning, Jimmy and his team never disappoint. And there's not a more decent human being than Jimmy in all of Milwaukee!
-
not very friendly service and extremely expensive one duvet insert costed 66$ and price isn't mentioned up front with a little more i could of bought a new one
-
Felt welcomed the moment I walked in. A good experience overall.
-
I had soles for two pairs of boots fixed here. They did a great job and exceeded my expectation since the boots were really worn out. The customer service was excellent as well!
-
Was a wonderful place until the old owner died and his nephew or something took over. We switched to a great place over on Capitol. Further out, but worth the trip.

Old man who answers the phone literally just yelled at me for no reason.
I called to ask their price to launder a single business shirt, and the guy didn’t even tell me. I could tell he was very old and I could barely understand what he was saying, but he was super angry and yelling at me through the phone.
From what I could tell he was telling me that he couldn’t get the clothes done today? Not sure what he meant by that.
From the other reviews, it seems as if this is the person who they have handling their customer service, so one can only image what the service is like.
I’ll never go here. Bad experience from the jump. -
I've never had and still do receive the best service from London Cleaners. The elderly gentlemen with an accent is very kind and patient, if one takes a bit of time to get past the accent. Isn't that what America is all about? I found these cleaners because the one that I was gong to didn't do alterations. It only makes sense that the cleaners cannot give an estimate over the phone because the cleaners need to see exactly what they are working with. They have my utmost customer respect because that's what they give me, as well as great services and quality work.

Family run business here for generations. They don't compete on price, because their service is excellent and we aren't interested in going elsewhere to save a couple bucks. The repairs on belts and coats they have done for us were excellent.

London Cleaners is amazing. They got out a stain another dry cleaners made in my blazer. They have also done some tricky sewing repair on my coat. All this incredible service come with a smile from the sweetest man alive. He remembers my name every time I walk in and gives my hands a hug. I don’t plan on ever trying anther dry cleaners!

It was my first time putting an order with these dirty crooks. They charged me almost $40 for two sweaters and a shirt. Complete rip off. Will never go back. The only reason I didn't complain there was because other people were there.

Absolutely LOVE this place! It's tough to find a cleaner and seamstress you can trust, but London Cleaners is the place. Great pricing, and that perfect "Midwestern Hospitality" from the moment you walk into the door. Would HIGHLY recommend for both cleaning services as well as tailoring!

I took a dress there to be taken in. They were very kind and helpful. I felt that they were happy and eager to assist me. I didn't call ahead of time, but I did leave my dress there and set up an appointment to come back for a fitting (which I had already anticipated).
I read some reviews that they could be rude, but I didn't have that experience at all. There was an elderly gentleman with a very thick accent and he is very difficult to understand sometimes in person. I can only imagine over the phone being much worse. I think I can chalk the rudeness complaints up to miscommunication. I'll happily bring more business their way. -
I have had great service for getting a belt, sandals, and purse repaired. Each item that I brought in at separate times were missing the time that was needed to repair. Although the older gentleman that is the owner told me that he didn't know if he could fix them--everytime he was able to fix it! I'm happy with his service and will continue to patronize his business.
I didn't give this business 5 stars for one reason: the shoe and purse cleaning guy.
Once, begrundingly I got a purse cleaned for $80. Honestly I thought that was overpriced, but I did it anyway.
I visited again to get Gucci sneakers cleaned. He wasn't there when I dropped them off, so I left them with the owner. When he called me and quotes a price, it was way more than I felt it was worth to pay. I told him I would just pick them up.
Here is a summary of what he asked me:
You don't want your shoes cleaned?
Aren't they Gucci?
What, you can't afford the price??
Seriously, I was too stunned to be offended. And I think I let out a laugh. After the last question I told him with finality: I will be picking up my shoes. Thank you.
You can't attack customers by attempting to guilt them into your services.
I walk past dude every time I walk in the cleaners. He will NEVER get my business again-- but the actual owner--he will continue to get my support! -
The gentleman who does the alterations is fantastic. He does great work even on uncommon items. For example, when I had brought my boyfriend's leather jockstrap in to have the elastic waistband repaired he didn't even bat an eye. It was finished in short order and it was quite reasonably priced. I have since returned many times for dry cleaning more common items and always get treated with the same friendly demeanor. Highly recommended!

When I started with London, I was new to the frequent dry cleaning and alterations thing. Jimmy may be abrupt on the phone, but he gathers exactly the necessary information for whatever is needed. When you arrive, everything runs smoother than silk and he could not possibly be nicer in person.
Their work is prompt - on your schedule, not theirs - and extremely well priced. Every shirt is pressed perfectly, every suit looking brand new.
Kathy unfortunately passed away recently, which I just found out about. She was a good soul and forever helpful about any and all questions I have. Her alterations were custom per the article you brought in; this of course, will be missed but London has this mentality for everything they do: hats, shoes, cleanings and customer care.
I personally have never had so much as mistake on anything I've had done, but I know if that were to ever happen, they would be on my side, helping remedy whatever it may be.
London treats you like family, probably because they have grown up alongside Milwaukee. They are experts in every part of their field, and while Kathy's passing certainly leaves a hole - as expected from someone as kind and generous as she was - I have all the faith that Jimmy and the crew there will keep the place running to the standards she exhibited her whole life.
For as long as I am in Milwaukee, and whenever I return, London has a customer in me. -
We had a tight turn around for getting some wedding attire cleaned. These guys could not have been nicer. They were incredibly accommodating and professional. Highly recommend London Cleaners

I've been a loyal customer for over a year and have had positive experiences every time I go in. The elderly gentleman is a sweetheart and very thorough. He gives my garments careful attention and is always extremely cordial. He even insisted on escorting me to my car with my clothes to ensure I made it without slipping on the snow! I am always very excited to pick up my clothes because they are in such pristine condition. I will keep being a loyal customer for years to come! Thank you, London Cleaners!!

I don’t like to leave negative reviews, but I felt that my last experience at this business warranted such a review. Very overcharged $110 to repair 2 pairs of shoe soles, and 1 boot sole. The boot repair on its own cost $48
It took about 2 months for the repairs. I also called once to see if my pick up was ready and waited for like 7 minutes for someone to get back the phone call.
I also mentioned at the time of my drop off if they could ‘clean up’ the suede booties I brought in but they weren’t touched and he said it wasn’t on the ticket/request.
When I originally stopped in was told $75 for the repair, which honestly two pair of shoes and one boot to resole seemed pricey but it’s within walking distance from home so I just went with it but that was my last time and will be looking for a more affordable and timely shoe repair in the future. -
Just stopping by Milwaukee for a business meeting! They charged socks by piece not by pair! As there’s no visible price list in the stall or online, do request to get total price written clearly on paper before passing them the clothes, so it’s nice and clear and wouldn’t feel cheated like me.
