If your looking for a rare plant, tree, flower, succulent, or cactus Hannas is probably the best place in town or nearby to get it. They have a great selection and their staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Great place to get potting soil as well.

Each of my experiences at Hanna's have been great! I purchased some beautiful gardenias and several years later, they still look and smell great! Staff is friendly and the selection is great. Plus they have the cutest garden accessories!

Nice garden shop with reasonable prices. Went for pumpkins, and they had a decent selection. $20 for huge ones, $12 for large ones. Gourds and mini-pumpkins available, also. So yeah, imagine it's a good option for seasonal shopping based on my first experience. Saw some professional gardeners/landscapers shopping there as well, which I took as a good sign.

I had been to several garden shops looking for a specific shrub and no one was willing to order it for me. In fact, most people laughed and told me "good luck". I went to Hannas this afternoon and the gentlemen there were so helpful. They offered to order it for me, went through my list of 30+ plants I was looking for, and displayed exceptional customer service! I highly recommend going to Hannas! They have a Huge variety, they're willing to order specialty plants, and go above and beyond helping the customer with their gardening needs! Thank you!

Ever since I moved to Birmingham 5 years ago Hanna's has been my first choice when buying house or outdoor plants. Hanna's carries a wide variety of excellent trees, fruit and ornamental. They have flowers, shrubs, and some unusual varieties that are difficult to find elsewhere. The sales people are knowledgeable, especially Martin, and they will do anything to accommodate our needs. The plants are well cared for and if you have any problems, they will take the plants back. Hanna's comes highly recommended by us!

Hanna's has one of the largest, best selections of plants that I've seen anywhere in Alabama. They have an incredibly helpful and knowledgeable staff that goes above and beyond to make sure I find what I'm looking for when I visit. They've even specially ordered plants for me before, AND they followed up with an email to let me know when they came in! A friendly family-owned business that goes the extra mile for their customers.

Unpleasant experience. Being the only customers at the store, we were totally ignored when we arrived, despite the guy at the register making full eye-contact with us (no hello, no may I help you, nothing). Most of the indoor plants were in poor condition, and the overall merchandising was disheveled and haphazard. I’ve come several times, and while I’ve never received the best customer service here - there was a time when at least the store looked beautiful, and was easily shoppable.

Great 2023 spring sale. So many healthy plants of varieties. Extremely busy, but they were well staffed with plenty of cashiers and people on the grounds. Easy to pull around back and load up larger purchases. It’s a great nursery, that’s why it’s been in business for so long.

Went in this morning at 8:30. Mine was the only car in the parking lot. No one spoke to me. Employees were inside joking around except for one girl who was watering plants. Several even looked out at me walking around. I left. Went somewhere else & got $$$ worth of merchandise by a small business who appreciates their customers. Customer Service matters!!!

Holy cow Batman. Love this place. Right off Hwy 280. Once you get here it just keeps going. They had everything we needed. Well staffed and very helpful.

I read all of the negative reviews regarding the employees and expected to not have anyone help me but I was wrong. I went late afternoon on the day before a hard freeze was forecasted. They were putting plants in the houses and covering the others but they were happy to help. They even uncovered some of the specific things I was looking for and helped me pick them out.
Then 3 of them helped me load them in the car and they put down paper to protect my car!
I live over an hour away and I will be back. They had huge selection lot of things / colored I have never seen!
Well worth the drive !

Had a great shopping experience at Hannah’s today. They have an excellent selection of plants with a very helpful staff. We had tried two other stores. No one had Nandinas but Hannah’s and they had several varieties!
Pam even found a rubber tree just like her dad used to have. Ruthie helped us find everything we needed and checked us out. My compliments on hiring such a great staff and having such fresh, well cared for, plants and trees!

Emma has been wonderful teaching me about plants. Someone near me has become ill and she didn't hastate to help me. The best part is i live in a different state and she made me feel like I was there. Thank you so much Emma!!

I was so very excited to take the trip to Hanna's as I was just in town for the weekend. I was looking for a mother's day gift and had my expectations blown away. As soon as I got into the front display area, I was greeted and a few minutes later another employee came by to see if I needed any help. She took me to the rose area and then said to come find her if I needed anything else. Their roses looked amazing even though I knew it was late in the season to be buying them. The annual selection was really good as well. I ended up buying about $300 worth of items for myself and my mom! The houseplants looked really good and I saw some varieties of different plants I had never seen anywhere else. I picked up some really good things while I was here. When I am back in town again, I will be stopping here!! I would recommend this garden shop to anyone looking for shrubs, trees, or houseplants!!

Christie picked out my entire flower pot arrangement for 4 pots. Thriller, Filler, Spiller. Excellent customer service.

The selection is impressive and the prices are good.
However, employees at this place will lie to you about the "warranty" they offer and then the business will not honor it.
Do yourself a favour and do not believe what employees tell you to sell you stuff. The only thing that will matter is what's on the receipt. We foolishly believed what an employee told us during a LONG conversation about two trees we were buying and when they died, the business refused to honor what we were told instead offering us a credit for 15% of what we originally paid.
We took the credit, got a couple of flowers and decided to never spend our money at Hanna's again.

My experience at Hannah’s was amazing. I’m an out-of-state landscaper who was doing some last minute work for a hotel. They gave me great recommendations for local flora and were able to deliver my order straight to the hotel after making the order at 4:30 the previous day. All members were kind and very helpful and the plants looked great. I’ll never use Lowes or Home Depot after finding them, so happy to support local!

I've created three wildflower and perennial gardens on our lot this year. I cannot believe the massive selection of perennials at Hanna's. Hard to find flowers like Baptisia, Allium Millenium, a huge phlox selection and countless other options are available. This year I've added 36 different perennial plants to my garden - all from Hanna's. I love to support local businesses but it's even better when you can get an "internet selection" in your hometown. Thank you, Hannas!

Very knowledgeable and incredibly helpful people! John helped us figure out a layout and what plants to replace our dead azaleas. He gave us many tips on how to care for them in all seasons. I highly recommend Hanna’s for your gardening needs!

Great experience, not just outdoor plants but also house plants. Many rare plants that a lot of nurseries don’t have but a lot of people want.
Just a few that caught my eyes. Prices are reasonably priced. Definitely will come here whenever I’m in bham. They have a good bit of exotic plants.
