I do not think I have written many Google reviews but my experience compelled me to write this:
Do not send a message through the website.
Cancelled service on May 25, 2023 through message system on website
Service was provided on July 3rd.
Sent message through website again regarding service I had cancelled in May on July 7th, 2023
Left phone message with company the following week regarding same issue.-Did not hear back.
Called again the end of the week, received an answer & was told my messages were not received.
Mailed a letter asking for my money back for the service I had cancelled
Received a call that it was not their fault my message was not received and that writing a refund was too much trouble.
I was told something like $45 is not that much as if it should not matter to me.

Heritage Lawn and Tree Care fertilizes and spreads pre-emgerence in our natural areas on an affordable annual contract. Our lawn has never looked better. They have provided this service for years and we would not think of changing. When we have questions they provide straight answers, they are the best.

When I was a kid I remember my parents discussing they were going to stop using a big name lawn company because they believed they were just spraying ice tea on the lawn.

Fast forward to me as a skeptical adult, but I began using Heritage. Over the past two years they have proven to be fantastic. Not only on our yard, but on our trees and shrubs.

The owner is so knowledgeable in the chemistry of what kills and what keeps. My wife has a severe poison ivy allergy, but loves to work in the yard. This conflicts, especially when it comes to her hydrangeas. Heritage was able to kill all the brush and poison ivy attached to the hydrangea without harming any portion of the plant.

Darrell and the guys at Heritage have had my yard for many years. I simply could not make my yard look this good by myself - and I learned years ago that it’s actually less expensive too. There is not a weed anywhere. It took a while to get it here, but for me, it was well worth it. My only complaint is all the thick grass I have to cut! 😜

When we first decided to redo our front yard, I reached out to all of the big names in Birmingham. I even went to nurseries to find out who they recommend. I met with all of the ones who returned my call (that was about half). Only one of those had vision - John from Nature's Edge. We wanted something very specific for our front yard. The others did not want to do what we wanted because it did not fit their blueprint, or so I was told. John, however, had vision...he could see what I could see and so off we went.

Every single step of the way, John was there to ensure that the job was done correctly, from the initial color layout to the final final - he also does our yard maintenance, so we are still working with him. I cannot wait to have him do our backyard!

So, what in particular was important to us?:
1) timely communication
2) alignment of quality and cost
3) excellent craftsmanship
4) excellent subs - not one of them did terrible work
5) great follow up and follow through

You will not be disappointed with John's work. I sit at my home office and look out at the flowers and plants and our front yard makes me so happy.

Nature's Edge just completed a large landscaping project that we have been contemplating for years. They're one of the very best contractors I've worked with. Work quality was first class, done right, with an aim to please. Their work crew was friendly, hard working, competent, didn't cut corners and took the time to do things right, as if they were working on their own home. Their price was in the upper half of the 8 quotes I received, but was totally worth it. I received excellent value for the money and I highly recommend them. Companies like Nature's Edge are a rarity, so if you want the job done right, they are well worth considering.
