From the moment I called, the entire experience was exceptional. Erin answered the phone with excellent customer service warm, patient, and willing to listen to all of my concerns with an open heart. Scheduling was just as impressive. They were able to get me in the same day, and Lauren called with the most welcoming, friendly personality. She truly made me feel valued as a customer.

Then came Gregory, the technician, and I honestly cannot say enough good things about him. He was knowledgeable, professional, and incredibly kind. He quickly identified the issue, explained it clearly, and got my hot water running again. He even had to leave to pick up a part and took the time to ask if I needed anything service like that is rare these days.

People like Gregory put a smile on your face even when you’re dealing with a repair that would normally wipe it away. The entire team from Erin to Lauren to Gregory made this experience smooth, stress-free, and uplifting.

These guys are great! The same the same day I called. Gave us great bundling price and theee different options. Always answer the phone or we’re quick to get back with me. Also I asked them to look at something else after they finished the job and they fixed that issue too even thought was after 5:00. Very nice and knowledgeable.

We worked with Greg and Laura and both were fantastic. We really appreciated their clear communication and prompt service.

Multiple options for a solution were presented and at no time did we ever feel pressure to make any particular decision or feel like we were being "upsold". My Dad was a Master Plumber for decades and I soaked up a little from him on pricing and scope of work. Everything Laura and Greg presented was accurate and fairly priced.

In my opinion, this is a very professional organization. Not opinion, but fact, we are grateful to have taken a chance with this Company we were not familiar with. Our primary reason for choosing MD was the crazy amount of reviews having an average of 4.9

The last company we used for an issue... not so much lol.

Amazing people and company. We had a emergency sewer leakage that occurred on Friday afternoon. Called multiple companies but none would be avaliable until Monday. Mr. Drippy came on a Saturday and charged us no extra fee. Got the problem fixed after working on the plumping for hours ( again did not charge us extra. The people working for the company also went above and beyond to ease our troubles. Highly recommended would not trust another plumbing company after working with them and the team. Thank you!!!

Spencer, the owner, was great. Our problem was diagnosed quickly and he even came out on a Saturday to get everything done!! Pricing was very reasonable and the communication was great. I would definitely recommend this company to my family and friends.

Cahaba Valley Plumbing, Spencer, took $4,000 on a $4,500 job and left me with an unfinished bathroom.

This was a phased basement project, and the bathroom was supposed to be completed first so it could be usable while I waited on delayed kitchen cabinets. Instead, after payment, communication changed, the bathroom was left incomplete, and I started getting excuses.

I was told the remaining parts could not be found. They were in the shower area, in opened boxes, right next to the toilet, clearly visible. I was then told he would not come back to finish the bathroom until the kitchen cabinets arrived weeks later. His exact words were: “I did not take the bid to go back and forth with you. I will come when it’s time to finish everything. PERIOD.”

I was also pushed to pay nearly the full amount before the work was complete. Even worse, I later learned he removed himself from the permit through the City of Fultondale without notifying me, after taking the money.

I tried to resolve it professionally. No meaningful effort was made to fix it.

As of 4/13/26, his response through the Attorney General complaint process only made things worse. In my view, it was deceptive and did not match what actually happened.

My experience was simple: pay first, get excuses later. Based on my experience, I would not hire Spencer again, and I would strongly caution others before trusting him with their money.

Once he got paid, finishing the job stopped mattering.

I called Spencer yesterday about leaking hot water heater. Arrived this morning and got it replaced and quoted me the best price!!

Oh my, what can I say about this company! My hot water heater "blew up!" water all over our basement. Spencer came out on a Sat and quickly got to the root of our problem. It was the pressure valve for the whole house that needed to be replaced, which he quickly did at a reasonable fair rate! Thanks Spencer for getting us back into Hot Water. Your the Man!

He was very nice and knowledgeable when I spoke over the phone, I liked him and was excited to have him be my plumber for a while, got a lot of work that needs done on my house. However, when he came to my house he did not have a mask and I had to turn him away. I asked if he had one he could wear when in the house and he said no. Since this review is written pre-vaccine, it is important to me that people I come in contact with wear a mask, especially in my own home. If this matters to you as well, I would look for a different plumber.

Edit: After seeing this review he contacted me several times via text and phone attempting to get me to change this review and saying that he wasn't given a chance to go get a mask and that he likes to accommodate his customers wishes. I offered that we could work together if he got a mask and promised to wear it. He refused. I am very disappointed. Dropping to one star.
