Over the 40 years since I purchased my house, I have needed electrical work of various types from time to time. I have used three or four different electricians, and I have always been pleased with the work of South Alabama Electric. South Alabama Electric has completed minor work, from changing out electrical outlets and installing new light fixtures to installing new sub-panels and diagnosing problems with a ceiling fan.

I have dealt with many electricians in the past, some of whom attempted to cheat me. South Alabama Electric has always been professional, honest, and competent.

Their electricians have always been polite, knowledgeable, and professional. While many tradesmen almost demand payment before they leave your house (they have probably been burned in the past), South Alabama bills you upon completing the job. Recently, we needed some work done, and the electrician who arrived introduced himself and his helper to my wife.

I have always been pleased with the work of South Alabama Electric and will continue to use them in the future,

We had the outside power boxes on our home upgraded. The technicians were professional and friendly. They arrived on time each day and were excellent in communicating and updating us on the work. They were respectful of our property and older home. I highly recommend their services.

I bought a display wall oven from Lowe’s and they would not install it, so I call Professional to do the install. They came out and dismantled the oven and said the oven was missing parts. We asked the. To order the parts and come back to finish the job. They said they didn’t know where or how to order the parts and left the job with the oven fully dismantled. I called them and asked them to come back to reassemble the oven so I could return it to Lowe’s and they said it would be another $270 for a service call. They really need to change their name to unprofessional because that is the way they act to their customers. Please use them at your own risk.

Three words you want to hear about any contractor, but particularly an electrician: informative, honest, and professional. And Professional Electric met my standard for each of those. From the first call back from Asleigh (sp?) to the electrician Beau (Bo?) they sent out, my experience was first rate. Ashleigh was very pleasant and answered my questions and even made suggestion for one of my issues. And Beau was prompt, let me know what was happening at every turn, and they were both exceptionally polite. I will definitely use them in the future, and I’ll do it with a good conscience that I made the right decision by doing so. Can’t say that about too many service calls these days! Very satisfied. 10 out of 10. 5 stars. Nice job. Also comfortable with referring them to my friends and family.

Was told one price then was told a extremely high second one to finish the job I don't recommend this company to anyone

I had these guys hook up a lift station that stopped working and had to be replaced. They came out late on a Friday afternoon, didn't leave til it was finished, and the cost was fair and reasonable.....highly recommend!

Had them come out to replace a dryer plug. Thankfully they found a much larger underlying issue that was potentially deadly. Cost is very affordable.

Professional Electric just finished our new construction home and they did an amazing job! They we’re a pleasure to work with! Very knowledgeable and professional. Definitely would recommend to anyone needing electrical work of any kind!

Reggie helped me with a few outlets that were not working and helped to re-tighten the wiring on the culprit outlet.

He was also very knowledgeable and was more than happy to show and explain what he was doing.

I first started using Mr. Rooter Plumbing and have been very happy with them. I had some electrical outlets that were not working and the Mr. Rooter service guy suggested that I call Mr. Electric. Well I'm glad I did. They sent a young man out who was very professional and he went through my entire electrical system looking for any additional problems.

So happy with this company. Beau and Ashleigh really went above and beyond the call of duty! They were so nice and followed up with me every step of the way. Most places would try and make you change out things unnecessarily, and try to squeeze out as much as possible from you, but due to the weather, Beau checked our panels first, then went to a few other businesses and saw that the same things were happening to them as well and then Ashleigh called in Alabama power! As an office manager, I can honestly say, NOBODY has ever called the power company on my behalf before! The most honest, friendly people, and I am super impressed.

Absolute heroes. Sunday night of Memorial Day weekend- I was traveling home from a quick trip out of town and got a frantic call from my house that the breaker was popping then shocking (with an arc of yellow) the person who tried to move the breaker back. At the recommendation of a good friend, I called Professional Electric. I got a call back within five minutes ( as I was driving and making sure my friend was ok) The OWNER! Called me and not only started the process to get help but went to my house himself to assess what was going on. By the time I reached the house the owner was picking up parts and had one of his best techs there to dig into the situation. I got home around 6pm and they worked until at least 9pm to make my house safe.

Ivan is fantastic! Saw them at my neighbors and I inquired about having them give me an assessment on damage to my house after the recent storms. They came over and fixed us right up! Would recommend them to everyone and will use this company again in the future.
