I was looking for a handy man in the Gilbert area.... guess I won't look here after seeing pictures on Yelp for this business. Won't be using him!

Cancelled on me because he was stuck in another state, so we rescheduled. Second time around he said he would arrive between 3:30 and 4:00.

It got to 4:30 and I heard nothing from him.

Done with this guy. Work with a professional who isn't a time waster, and go with literally anyone else. This guy won't last long with his business.

Well let me first state I’m not a heinous human but as an ER nurse I do expect for people to get their job done correctly, because that’s the standard I’m (rightly) held to. I hired Juan to put baseboards in my bathroom and install new faucets. Both tasks I ACTUALLY can do myself but due to have a toddler and a baby as well working two jobs, find it tough to find the time to operate power tools. The first day he showed up late and asked me to pick up paintable caulk at Lowe’s where I was picking up final bits of the door trim. Stated he’d refund me. The whole project btw was going to cost me $385. I did and three hours in he leaves due to a family emergency. Still willing to be a good human I continue to work with him. He comes back not Thursday, like he stated initially when he left but the following Monday to “finish.” He leaves without putting baseboard around the entire perimeter, leaving a large gap by the shower and not putting any baseboard by the door trim, and preceded to caulk to ENTIRE TRIM IN UNPAINTABLE SILICONE CAULK. At thing I heard ‘paintable’ silicone caulk (it does exist), and did not call him out on it. I did ask him to fix the brad nails PROTRUDING from the door trim but alas, they are still not sunk or even FLUSH for that matter. So some time later I go to finish the job I have hired this person to do, and then paint the baseboard to learn that I now can’t without entirely scraping off and dissolving this caulk. I contact him and he’s unwilling to fix his shoddy workmanship or provide a refund for what will now be HOURS of work to correct. If he had done an excellent job of installing it, this might not be a huge deal, but there are massive gaps! The corners are poorly mitered and it is a shear disaster. A quick internet search reaffirmed that silicone caulk is used around plumbing. WHO DOES THIS?! Like I said, this is work I could have and clearly should have done myself, but this is not the guy for your job. I have plenty of pictures if you need to see. Also- my drain doesn’t close on my newly installed faucet.

I was actually considering looking into a contractor here, for a few weeks to help with some minor fixtures at my mother's new house in Chandler. Presumably, she's not as tech savvy and asked for my help to find a nearby place that would help. I was in the early stages of setting it up until I read the previous review. I'm so glad someone posted before I went through with Easy Valley Handyman. There's absolutely no way I would now consider their services after the "customer service" they really provide. At least the only thing I lost was time lost, spent researching and talking to some of their staff. Moving on to a competent company that can actually do their job correctly and as requested. I'm not willing to risk that with these guys.

If you would have told me 5 months ago that East Valley Handyman Juan would become my go to guy for any project, you would have been psychic! Not only is he wonderful at his craft, but respectful, intelligent, and always gets the job done perfectly! He often follows up to make sure even after the work is done, that the customer is satisfied 100%. I trust Juan with any project around my house and give him my highest recommendation!

If you're looking for electrical work, hire an electrician. Chip is a nice guy and did a couple things for me just fine, like a fan install and light can fix, but the electrical wiring he did took way longer than expected and ultimately had to be re-done by my electrician. The quality of the receptacle and switch install was shocking when we removed it. I would have been better off doing it myself and I would have saved a lot of money.

Richard was Friendly and reliable. Showed up on time with great communication! Repaired several things for us. Definitely would recommend.

Richard is the best! No job is too small or too large for hi. He shows up on time and is always very reasonably priced. There is very little repair or handyman work that he cannot do.

I contacted EV Handyman (Chip) to replace an old/broken bathroom vent fan. EV Handyman contacted me right away and were able to get me in the schedule within 24 hrs. The customer service was outstanding— Chip worked with me to select the right fan and communicated every step of the process. He did an excellent job in a timely manner for a reasonable price— the new fan looks great and I will definitely contact him for future projects.

East Valley Handyman came to my house yesterday and fixed many broken items. I am very happy with the work. He is going to install two new ceiling fans and a door handle set. Looking forward to having these issues addressed. His price is also reasonable. Hire him!
